HaloFan
Has anyone figured out a way to separate verticies that overlap in both the framework AND in the UV Map? I'm trying to really fix the dugout suites at Angel Stadium but I'm limited by the fact that each little piece is connected in both the framework and the UV map, making it impossible to separate the verticies...unless someone has come up with a method. statelizard
Halo - Did you ever figure out how to do this, I'm running into what sounds like the same problem with Comerica. Also, here's my main problem right now, I've cut out some of the stands in order to rebuild the bullpen in Left Field. I've got it mostly set up, but in game the fans are still showing up where the seating used to be. The seating is gone, but the fans are still there, like they're floating in the air. Do you know how to get rid of them?

Phillies_PHAN_MVP2004
Halo I trying to oedit but i keepin getting this error not valid .o file
statelizard
Phillies, If all i need to do is edit the 3dcrowd file, what am i supposed to edit in it. The only thing that shows up in the 3dcrowd.o file is a single seat, which i'm assuming is mapped to all of the seats in the stadium.

Phillies_PHAN_MVP2004
any Idea why I can't make o files
statelizard
which file are you trying to make into an o file? I know that some of the ones I tried are telling me that it isn't a valid o file, but I can't remember which ones, let me know which one you're trying and i'll see if i can't get it work, then maybe we'll know whats going wrong. and thanks for the tip, this is driving me crazy, i'm basically having to rebuild an entire side of the stadium to get the bullpen on the right side, I know that it is going to show up in the game as the bullpen, I just don't know if the pitchers are going to be in it. LOL.
kevattac
Halofan, Statelizard, or anyone else I feel pretty bad because while you guys are talking about OEDIT, I can't even get it open. Here is the excert from Pirate's tutorial that I do not understand: "Using GFXPak and notepad unpack jacoday.big (or jaconite.big). Open notepad and copy this in to the file and change jacoday.big with the stadium you are editing. @echo off echo This will unpack the stadium echo echo Press Ctrl + C to ABORT, or any other key to CONTINUE pause>nul gfxpak -u jacoday.big echo Installation Complete! echo Press any key to resume life. pause>nul Save the file as unpack.bat Double click the bat file follow the instructions." I do not get this at all. When I double click on GFXPak it blinks on my screen for a second, then disappears. How would I use notepad at all? Any help would be greatly appreciated. statelizard
Ok here is how you get the stadium open. I am assuming that you have everything that Pirates tutorial told you to download. and you have oedit installed. Step 1. Make a folder on your desktop and call it Oedit. Step 2. Put a copy of the stadium.big file that you are trying to open. Step 3. Put the GFXPak and OrdTools that you downloaded in there. Step 4. Open notepad. In notepad paste the commands that you just saw in the tutorial, except where it says jacoday.big, it will be the name of the file you're trying to open for example if its Comerica day then it is comeday.big. Save this notepad as unpack.bat and save it in the Oedit folder that you created. Step 5. In the Oedit folder double click the unpack.bat file and follow the instructions. you do the same thing for the next step in Pirates tutorial, you have to create a .bat file in notepad, then double click it to open the files. You don't click the GFXPak or the Ordtools they just need to be in there for the .bat files to work. If you need any more help with it Post it in this thread or PM me, I'm still figuring it out inside the program so this is good for everybody. kevattac
statelizard, thank you for clearing me up. I am now in oedt! Thank you for getting me ready to go. Now I have another question that anyone can chime in on if they wish too. I cruised through Pirates tutorial until I got to this: "Left Click on the 000 on the right of the oedit screen. While comparing the screencaps to the wire mesh stadium find the parts of the stadoium you want to edit." Ok I am not seeing a wire mesh stadium. All I am seeing is just a big sheet of graph paper with 4 points that are touching each other. Is this what I am supposed to see, or am I suppose to see somthing that actually looks like a stadium. If those 4 little points are what I am supposed to see, how do I make them look like a park. Thanks in advance.
bravesj858
what they mean is to see what parts of the wire meshings match the parts of the stadium you want to edit. for example, if the wire mesh covers the scoreboard you want to edit, there you go. give it a try. also need some help on the very next step after saving the wire mesh etc. what's that about? txtraider05
I have a question to add......Ive go tto the part of the tutorial where it says Open mstadium.o with Oedit. Click on Texture – Manage Textures Open the file that looks like the ADS0 file or the stcs file. Open the UV Map Editor. I can get the mstadium.o file to open but when it does and I click on manage textures there is nothing there. It has a list and all it says is " (none) " all the way down the box. Im pretty sure I did everything right but I might have missed a step or something. anyone know????

kevattac
I now know how to fix my last post with the wall.dat file, but now I have a new question. How ( after I make changes with Oedit) do I take the mstadium file and put it back in the game so I can see what I need to do next? Thanks in advance. mastasports1
I now know how to fix my last post with the wall.dat file, but now I have a new question. How ( after I make changes with Oedit) do I take the mstadium file and put it back in the game so I can see what I need to do next? Thanks in advance. Just change the file you used to make the .ord and .orl into a .o, and change it for it says: o2ord mstadium.o mstadium.ord mstadium.orl And to answer statelizard's old question- you need to edit the crowd.o file, not the 3dcrowd.o file. kevattac
ok thanks masta, but for some reason i have no files that are .ord. How do I get .ord files. I tried to to use the .bat file with .o instead of a .ord and my game crashed. What do I do?
