The Big Unit
Nearly 40 years old here and I absolutely hate the look and feel of Miller Park here in Milwaukee. I grew up and spent MANY a summer and winter day at County Stadium watching the Brewers and the Packers play. Was my home away from home. If there's anyone who would attempt to make a really good looking Milwaukee County Stadium to take the place of nasty Miller Park in my game, I'd be forever in your debt and would probably name my son (due in August) after you. Thanks in advance if you would try it. I can even supply a TON of pics and outfield dimensions if you need them to get everything just perfect. Dead_Monkey_Z
Oh how I miss the ol' stadium. The obstructed-view seats...the scoreboard...the "yer out" "strike out" animations...the bleachers...the throwing of things at the visiting team pitchers warming up...Berinie's beer barrel...I could go on and on. I would pay to see it made for the game. After hosting nearly 50 years of baseball, it's a shame that EA didn't add it to the Cooperstown Collection. Here's some County Stadium facts and figures http://www.ballparks.com/baseball/national/county.htm I remember Moser316 say something about trying a stadium when he finishes his unies. So Moser316, if you're reading.... *hint* *hint*
Moser316
Yes, I did say something about the possibility of doing a stadium when I was finished with my uniforms. However, I said it was going to be Miller Park, not County Stadium While I share the same memories regarding County Stadium (even though I still like Miller Park better, County Stadium was a part of growing up in Milwaukee), I don't know how feasible it's going to be to replicate it for the game. Hypothetically, I suppose I could try using Municipal Stadium as a base, but then I'd have to move the scoreboard and play with the entire wireframe to get the seating to look right. Dead_Monkey_Z
I agree. It's something that would be extremely difficult to do. I'm not holding my breath on it, but I'm definitley looking forward to your Miller Park if you decide to do it. If your unies are any indication of the quality of work you'd put into Miller, all us Brewer fans are in for a treat.
Dead_Monkey_Z
Moser316, on a side note...... Think it's possible to throw together some Nashville and Huntsville unies?
Moser316
Maybe, although I'm leaving the minor league uniforms to Rambully right now. If I do any more uniforms after my Miller Park attempt, it's going to be the old-school stuff (the inaccuracy of the 1994 Brewers uniforms, in particular, is driving me nuts)... WISPORTSFAN
It sure is nice to see other Brew Crew fans frequent this site and even add some cool mods. My wife and I live in Watertown(I am from Rhinelander originally) and we have averaged between 10-20 games/yr. for the last decade. I actually enjoyed County Stadium("good seats still available" ) but you can't beat the roof in the first couple months of the season. 3 things about Miller Park that I don't know if you can fix Moser, but they drive me nuts: 1) new dirt paths instead of grass from dugouts to home plate. Ned said they killed the grass from so many strikeouts the last couple yrs. 2) E.A. totally ignored Fridays in Left-field. The unique character is sorely missed. 3) The home and away dugouts are reversed. Anybody else notice anything I missed? I definitely enjoy and appreciate all the Mods everybody contributes to this site. Thanks in advance Moser to whatever updates to M.P. you can do. **Big series in Busch-town this week boys - GO BREWERS!
Moser316
1) Not sure how possible that is with OEdit, but I think I may be able to enlist Five's aid to help me out. 2) That should be easy enough to add with OEdit 3) Don't think the home/away dugouts can be reversed And I've got plenty of pictures from Opening Day, and I'm going to this Saturday's game (where I'll be getting pictures of anything I missed), so I've got plenty of information :)
WISPORTSFAN
Any improvements like ads etc. will be a step up. Those are just my own anal retentive complaints  Do you follow the kids down at Nashville? I'm holding out hope someone does a total Org. update like some of the more popular teams. I truly believe the organization is headed for some great times. Hopefully it will be sooner than later  Anyways thanks for putting in the work Moser and enjoy the Reds game. Would a $50 donation make it any more "feasible" Moser? I'd be willing to pay that for a really good version of County Stadium. If you build it, a dead president will come (your way). Not joking Moser. It's yours for a very good version of the old girl. :D
Schrades
Hey wissports fan, I too live in Watertown, haha, odd to see multiple people from the same small town like watertown. I really love miller park and can't wait for it to get done although my first season is almost over. There rendition of the left field bleachers is horrible. Don't think that I won't pay it. I'll gladly pay it with a smile on my face. :)
bravesj858
just a note...the braves played there before the brewers ever did. so it would be a nice touch for braves fans who want to go back to the millawakee days.
The Big Unit
Don't start. Some of us still believe the Braves in Atlanta is OUR team here in Milwaukee, just located down south. ;)

After I finish the v2's for the uniforms, Miller Park is first on my priority list, but if I get good enough at OEdit, I may see what I can do with turning Municipal Stadium into County Stadium. However, if I go through with this, I must warn you that stadium editing (especially on that scale) is a very time-consuming process and between work and social life, I haven't had much time for modding lately. If I do get around to County Stadium, I intend to hold you to that offer ;)
RAM
Think it's possible to throw together some Nashville and Huntsville unies? dead monkey we've talked recently about this but for anyone else here, and not to take over the thread guys, but, i will be starting the brewers minor league affiliates uniforms A-AAA sometime next week hopefully. just as soon as i'm done with the atlanta affiliates. i was just reading through the thread. i'll let you back to it then. have a good one. dubuque
Don't start. Some of us still believe the Braves in Atlanta is OUR team here in Milwaukee, just located down south. i never knew the brewers use to be called the braves until i heard bob ucher or who ever is the brewers radio announcer is mention it. i am a cubs fan but lately for some reason ive been following the brewers
Schrades
actuallly the brewers never "used to be called" the braves. Instead the Braves played in Milwaukee and moved to ATL, why we don't know. The Seattle Pilots who existed for 1 year moved to Milwaukee and became the Brewers. By the way you prolly shouldn't follow the Brewers, it's getting embarrising, haha Good luck on miller park moser, you the man
The Big Unit
You're right Schrades of course. But in talking to alot of my older friends who were in their teens in '65 or whatever year the Braves left, they still feel the Braves are Milwaukee's team and some don't want anything to do with the Brewers because they weren't "originally" our team. (Hardliners). Me personally, I'd just rather have the Braves payroll. Would mean we'd be closer to winning. but if I get good enough at OEdit, I may see what I can do with turning Municipal Stadium into County Stadium. And if you do get around to County Stadium, I'll be MORE than happy to pay you the 50 somali's so don't worry one bit about that. It'll be well worth it for me. Believe me. You have no idea how much I miss that place.
