Ari
Hey modders and viewers: I was thinking since MVP 2006 is going to be the last PC game for baseball by EA Sports in a little while, the mod squad could be in charge of making complete updates for each year, as in rosters, faces, uniforms, if you will, and maybe even stadiums. Like this you still have the updated stuff on your computer as if it was a new game each year. You could make like this whole installation file with each containing the updated materials. Its just a thought that you guys would wanna take it on, kinda like getting togeher and putting all the best skills to work, keeping computer baseball gaming alive here. JP_Frost
I thought that mvp 2005 was the last one. Anyhow...if we can keep this community alive then there will be alot of great mods to keep the game interesting. I have a feeling though, that EA has a trick up their sleeve. Right now, MVP2005 IS the last game, since TakeTwo bought exclusive MLB rights beginning next year. Like you say, however, we'll have to see what happens next year. Kccitystar
Right now, MVP2005 IS the last game, since TakeTwo bought exclusive MLB rights beginning next year. Wrong. MVP 2006 is the last game, it was in development prior to TakeTwo acquiring the MLB license, so they can release that at an earlier date.
Jim825
Ooops.... My bad. Thanks for the correction.
NYYKing
it'd be cool if EA can make 2006 version w/ next gen graphics (easily modifiable at the same time) since the next gen consoles will be out the end of this year/early next year. but i doubt it will happen though because it is unlikely EA will develop a brand new graphics engine just for one single release. kicko
i don't believe there will a 2006 unless its released before 12/31/05 that's when the license would take effect from what i have read. I feel that 2005 is near perfect and only needs some touch up to bring it into the next year.
Umachines
Maybe it's time EA turn their sight to this comunity and make something even more customizable than current version, with 'official' support for the modding comunity, you know, with the Studio included, or something. So who cares if the base product comes with no true teams or players?; just download a couple of files and you're done. That way, I'm sure no baseball game could ever match MVP Baseball franchise. Perhaps somebody at MLB could start thinking it better about Take Two deal.
Sharpshooter
If EA were to release "good info" about MVP 06, so that it could be modded better, it could allow them to get back at Take Two and maybe even cost them $ in sales if you know what I mean. faultyscarab
If EA were to make MVP 2006, I sure would hope that they would have a 40 man roster....
Dan
I don't know if you figured out what "Project Hedge Plant" is, but it has to do with and update for the future...
NotreDame1
Their should be the use of a 40 man roster in the month of september like it is in the real Major League Baseball!!!!

McDiddy
IF EA doesnt make a game in 2007 (which I still think they will), I would be willing to help out with such a thing.
Tony3
Well, I hope EA will release all the players' announcement so that we don't have to record ourselves, and the audio stuff of players has really nothing to do with the exclusive MLB rights I suppose.
Ari
U think EA Sports will kinda give annual updates to the products, including rosters, annoucnements, rookies, so forth?
McDiddy
I think they'll just keep releasing a new game each year like normal.
