Jim825
Someone asked me to create a datafile for them that contains only the no batter walkup and no foul ball replay changes. I extracted the datafile.txt file from the datafile.big file using Snepp's instructions from last year. For some reason, when I try to use this default datafile.txt file in the game, the bar on the loading screen gets about a quarter of the way through and then locks up the game. Can one of the datafile gurus tell me how to get the default datafile.txt so that I have a starting point?
five
You can't use gfxpak to extract it, use eazip instead.
Jim825
You can't use gfxpak to extract it, use eazip instead. Snepp's instructions were to use eagraph to extract the datafile.txt file from datafile.big. That's what I did and (and told it to uncompress the file). I then used eazip to recompress the file when I was done editing it. I didn't use gfxpak at all. Are you saying that I should use eazip to pull datafile.txt from datafile.big in the first place (i.e. not use eagraph)?
five
Give it a try, I was having problems with gfxpak and I used eazip and it worked great.
