ChuckkieB
Is there a way to universally fix the "shiny grass" problem in all of the stadiums or does it have to be fixed stadium by stadium, and if so, what is the fix? Thanks in advance. CB
MrGravyard
From what I hear its not the game but our Video Cards..
mastasports1
Yeah, changing anisotropic filtering to at least 4x fixes it for most...

spitoon
If your video card will allow it, turn up the Anisotropic Filtering level to 4X (or higher) and it should help with the funky looking grass issue. You'll find the setting in your control panel for your video card.

Miedin
Right click on your desktop, click properties in the menu that pops up, click the settings tab on the top right side, click the advanced button near the bottom right side, now look for Anisotropic Filtering somewhere in there. That did the trick. The anisotropic filtering was not activated and I was able to set it to 8X. The shiny grass is gone! Thank you very much! UncleMo
ati radeon 9200 128mb, not the 9200 se. thank you sir.
spitoon
Well, you should have those settings. I don't use an ATI card so I'm not fully familiar with the control panel... Found this via a search: You can adjust AA and AF on your ATI by: Right Click anywhere on desktop Select Properties -> Display Properties Window should open Click Settings Tab Click Advanced Button -> Monitor and Video Card Properties Window should open Click 3D Tab Check the Use Custom Settings box -> The Custom Button should enable Click Custom Button Uncheck the Application Preference boxes for AA and AF Adjust your settings Click Ok Click Ok You should be able to mess with the Vsync settings using this method as well. big shmooz
I have a high end graphics card (Nvidia 6800 ultra) & I have my AA set to 8xs & my AF to 16x & I still get some shimmering in the opening scene. (when the game shows the fielding alignment & you see the pitcher warming up). Though it's not terrible, it is there.

TStetson
16x AF is for ATI cards only. Nvidia cards do not support 16x AF. So when u have 16x enabled on an Nvidia card, you are actually only getting 8x AF.
