BigDaddyCool
Here's a new problem I've discovered. While working on my All-Time teams mod I've noticed some roster irregularities when I export the dat files to MVP 2005. It seemd that there are now a few teams that are missing the pitcher slot in the lineups for when they play non-DH games. For some reason in the game the pitcher slot is listed as null and the player name is empty. However, when I check back in MVP Edit, there doesn;t seem to be anything amiss just by looking at the lineup itself. However when I check for errors I get a message that "The Boston Red Sox Lineup NL vs RHP not complete". So far its the Red Sox, Yankees, Astros, Quakes and Stingers that are effected for both RH and LP w/out the DH. The only way I have found to correct this is to remove a player from the lineup in MVP Edit, save the dat files, go into the game, reset the roster and let the game fix the lineups for me. Has anyone ran into this problem and does anyone have a solution?
sfgiantsflgators
any ideas for this? i got that problem just a minute ago as well on the grizzles (had a few null spots). i'm going to go tinker with it a bit more but if anyone knows what the dilly yo is i'd be glad to hear it.
herodotus7
I have this exact problem now... with the Stingers lineup. It is actually fixed properly in MVPedit, but you run the "errors" tool function and i get 2 warnings saying the nl lineups aren't fixed. what's the problem? kgbaseball
The solution is to switch the order of the pitching rotation around. Sounds odd, and it is, but it should fix it. Just scramble the roation up once, and then set it back to normal, and the error should be fixed.
lilloreo
Another problem I found recently with MVPEdit is that any adjustments you make to the appearance of a player doesn't show up in game. Such as "body type". Can any one else out there verify this?
kgbaseball
Did you export the rosters after making the changes?
lilloreo
Yup!!! They even show up in game in the edit player screen in game, but they are all greyed out.
kgbaseball
Can't modify the appearance of non-created players in the game.

D-Unit
i wish that would work. they made carl pavano one fat (dirty expletive). but farnsworth was fat in the original mvp2005, but when i downloaded the mod he was thin. how did that work? did someone delete farnsworth, then make another one and add his portrait and stats? lilloreo
everything worked fine with MVPEdit before updating to the 'o6 version. Small price to pay I guess
herodotus7
kg and others, yeah, i found that mvpedit faq thread and figured it out. you can definitely edit players sizes with mvp edit, but use the an exported default roster. works like a charm. i hate all the skinny players so i globally edited them into better looking dudes. lilloreo
herodotus, Could you provide a link to that thread and just give a quick rundown of the steps you did to get the players to reflect the changes made ingame? Thanks!!!!
