It sounds like this is a mipmap issue. (Mipmaps are smaller versions of the large image that are embedded in the main file. If these aren't updated, then you will see the original texture from a distance.) I'm not that familiar with paint.net, but there is probably an option you can check that will generate mipmaps for the .dds file that you export.

NOTES: This zip file contains both the home and away uniforms of the 1912 New York Yankees/Highlanders/Americans. 2012 is the 100th anniversary of the team first wearing a home uniform with pinstripes and an interlocking "NY" logo on the front. While the design of the jersey changed multiple times over the next few decades, the pinstripes and "NY" were permanently reinstated for the 1936 season. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (Recommended): 1. Place uniform_nyy_1912A.iff and uniform_nyy_1912H.iff into the 2K12 game directory. (This is likely C:\Program Files (x86)\2K Sports\Major League Baseball 2K12) You will also need to extract nyy1912.txt, but it can go in any folder as it will only be used once. 2. Download the free MLB 2K12 Roster Editor by tywiggins 3. Open the roster or franchise file that you would like to add the uniforms to 4. Navigate to the "Uniforms" tab. 5. Click "Import" and select nyy1912.txt. 6. Click OK and you should be all set! If you don't have or want to use the MLB 2K12 Roster Editor, you could alternatively replace the default Yankees retro uniforms. Just rename these uniform files and replace uniform_nyy_cl1.iff and uniform_nyy_cl2.iff. However, the uniform colors will be off. Enjoy! -
Very impressive work, especially with the scoreboard!

If you're interested in doing a face for Pettitte, you could use the original 2K face as a base... even though he's not in the initial roster, 2K left his face in the game directory. You can find it as player_head_0918.iff.

Thanks for doing this, ty - it's very much appreciated! One thing I noticed is that trying to change or add uniforms for the Marlins gives an "Index was outside the bounds of the array" error. The dropdown list also lists the team as the "Florida Marlins," while the other tabs list the current name of the "Miami Marlins" so maybe that's part of the issue. Again, thank you for your efforts this year, as being able to edit the rosters definitely increases my enjoyment of the game.

I would definitely use the ability to edit stats!

(For the record, Mr Notbugmethx, I could not open my franchise even after downloading the fix for the update so I used the dialog box and requested a new key. Now the program works again.) I would like to say that I have personally found REDitor to be very useful, and I enjoy using the program a lot. While I had to buy a subscription for it, REDitor allowed me to swap team affiliations around which is something I’ve wanted to do since MLB 2K9. In addition, being able to modify the organization's staff allowed me to put myself in the game as the manager (with a custom cyberface), which is also really nice. I would be disappointed if development stopped on it... although I can understand Vlad_Zola_Jr's disappointment in its lack of widespread use. DetroitStyle has mentioned the licensing and the size of the community as possible reasons why the program may not be as popular as it was hoped to be. I agree with some of that to a certain extent... The licensing process appears to be a little complex at first, given the different "a la carte" options there are for purchasing. However, it’s actually pretty easy to do. The price may have something to do with it, especially when buying multiple features (although it did not stop me). I do want to point out that REDitor allows the editing of player's abilities in roster files for free without any subscription. Maybe a timed trial (similar to the editor put out by tywiggins) would be more beneficial to users than a fully functional demo that cannot save. In terms of the size of the community, there certainly appears to be less of us then there are for NBA 2K11. However, I don’t know if that translates into a lack of interest. The editing I’ve done with REDitor are things that only I would care about, so there is no reason to release my rosters/franchises. (My custom teams are actually based on one of my MVP dynasties, so they include MVP’s “fake” players.) I would suspect that most people using the program are really using it for their own purposes as well. This brings me to the mention of Total Conversion mods. To me, we haven’t gotten deep enough into the other files yet to make a good mod feasible. The TC mods that have been made for MVP pretty much change everything that can be edited - not only the rosters, but statistics, schedules, music, sounds (including the announcers), and most importantly (to me) the stadiums. That adds an extra amount of authenticity that just isn’t currently possible in MLB 2K11. Of course, figuring out how to edit all of these things took time, and I would expect it would be true here as well. In some ways, the discontinuance of MVP was an advantage to the modding community because we could continue building on the advances we had made knowing that we wouldn’t have to start from scratch with a new game each year. While I have created a few retro jerseys (which I may release sometime), playing with the 1912 New York Highlanders doesn’t feel right with “Bad Reputation” blasting from the loudspeakers in the new Yankee Stadium... The roster is only one piece of a total conversion mod, and I think we would see an increase in interest in getting one done if other pieces of the game are figured out. Anyway, those are my thoughts. (I apologize for the length of the response; I knew this wasn’t going to be a short post…) Again, I would like to stress that I have really enjoyed having the program and would encourage others to check it out.

This is a stadium with large-resolution textures - I have tried to keep things as small as possible without sacrificing detail, but it still may not work with every system. If there is a lot of problems with it crashing, I'll try to release a small-texture version. THANKS: ChicagoCubs720- For modifying the datafile and moving the bullpen locations to their correct places DYosua- For being encouraging and enduring my random ramblings involved in the creation of the stadium MarkB- For providing inital source images Beta testers (including bigbully, SeanO, MarkB, ChicagoCubs720, D-Unit, DYosua) Everyone who commented in the original preview thread MISC. If the MVP07 team hasn't created logos for the new/updated minors teams, I'm more than happy to offer my logos in the Downloads section for use if it would help.

This file does not update the .loc files nor do they include new uniforms. INSTRUCTIONS: Unzip the .fsh files and then import them into the "logos.big" file in the "datafrontend"" directory in your MVP folder (Usually this is "C:Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2005datafrontendlogos.big".) using a program like bigGUI or the EA Graphics Editor. Make sure all three files are compressed. -

After months of work, the first version of Hadlock Field 2002 is released. This is by no means a final version, but it is very playable. MINOR ISSUES: There are a few objects that will disappear at some angles, most notably the lower CF wall. The wall.dat is incomplete; fielders can enter some of the picnic area in RF and some balls that do not clear the LF fence may be called a home run (not exactly known if this is true). THANKS: SeanO- For creating the base version with accurate dimensions, and granting permission to me to release this version. DYosua- For being my beta tester and primary source of encouragement to keep going. All who responded in the preview thread on the MVPMods message board. CONTENTS OF THIS .ZIP: "aa03nite.big" TO BE ADDED: Hopefully, in the next version, the home run lighthouse will be included, and graphical issues will be resolved. The overflow section in left field should also be included. Thank you for downloading Hadlock Field: 2002 and enjoy!
