Hi! I was waiting about 10 games to be played in "Season Mode" before leaving a feedback which would be very very positive if I hadn't a problem. I'm playing in "Season Mode" with the Dodgers. I've made some changes to the rosters - not many - using the "Team Changer". Among the changes, I've put Edinson Volquez into the Dodgers' roster and into the starting rotation. But, everytime I play a game with Volquez as a starting pitcher, the game crashes while in-game. Normally the match locks with audio repeating the same sound unceasingly on a freeze-frame. In that situation I must stand-by the pc and restart it after having opened the Task Manager for a forced-closing of the game. I have installed the "MVP 13" mod on a clean installation of MVP 2005 (with only the official patches on). My pc is a Sony Vaio with a Windows XP Media Center Edition OS (Service Pack 2) installed. I hope to find a solution because the Mod is absolutely great and the creators must be thanked! I'll be grateful for the help you'd want to give me! Thanks!!
  2. Thanks! I've solved in a different way: using the brilliant ".dat exporter and importer". I didn't know this utility but it's very useful because it allows to create the .dat files (which can be modified with MVPEdit) from a .sav file, loading it while in Game (loading a saved "Season"), alt+tabbing, and clicking first on "MVP2005Exporter.exe" (it creates the .dat files) and, after having edited what you want to with MVPEdit, clicking on "MVP2005Importer" (it writes the .dat files in the .sav file).
  3. Hi! I've found a problem in the Brewers lineups similar to the one that afflicted the Pirates' lineups, with a "null" spot which causes the Game to crash. After checking the roster on MVPEdit, I've found the same kind of error with n.2 spot repeated two times in the NL vs. LHP and NL vs. RHP batting orders. I've corrected them and exported the .dat files in the data-database folder. Now everything is ok, except for a fact which is, I fear, unsolvable: I had started a "Season", and the Brewers' lineups, when I play my already-started "Season" mode, remain uncorrected (with the "null" spot which makes the Game crash). Is there anything I can do? Thanks a lot!
  4. Fantastic rosters. Thanks a lot @Daflyboys and the other guys for the great and hard job you've done! The result is perfection! Keep on this spectacular work!
  5. Thanks @Daflyboys! I wasn't capable of using MVPedit, but I've tried for it's pretty intuitive. After having imported to MVPedit the .dat files contained in the "database" folder, I've noticed the Pirates' batting orders had all two number eights (vs. NL teams) or two number nines (vs. AL teams, with DH), and NO NUMBER THREES, with McCutchen always involved, being put at number eight or nine. I've cleared and rewritten the four batting orders, exported the .dat files and the problem was solved! Now I try and start a "Season", play some games and leave a review which will be surely very, very positive for I've already seen the rosters are great and accurate and you all, Daflyboys and the others who worked to this rosters, have made an incredible job!
  6. Hi! I've got a problem. My game crashes every time I play with or against the Pirates. So, choosing the Pirates as my team, I've seen, in the batting order, there is a "null" in place of "SS" position and no player assigned to that position. I've tried to put a player in, but the position remained "null" and the game crashes the same way. The crash happened after the pitcher selection of the very first game of the season, but only if I choose to play. If I sim the game, everything goes fine. I've installed the 19 .dat files on MVP12 mod, installed on a clean copy of MVP 2005. My OS is Windows XP Media Center Edition. I've done everything you suggest to do at the beginning of the Game: I chose "Reset Rosters" and selected "Yes" to "Use Default Rosters". The rosters are wonderful! Hope to solve my issue. Thanks a lot.
  7. I've solved my problem thanks to the great and professional help of Daflyboys! I don't know exactly what has been decisive but, as suggested by Daflyboys, I've selected the "reset rosters" option after having opened my MVP12 modded game and then I've started a new season and Houston was correctly in the AL West! It also could have been relevant that, after having zipped the 19 .dat files already modified (rosters, schedule, and the corrected team.dat file for having the Astros in the AL) to send them to Daflyboys, I've unzipped them in the database folder where I had previously reinstated the backed-up default files. I hope I've been clear and helpful for those who may have the same issues I've experienced! Thanks to everyone else who tried to help me, too!
  8. I've tried to PM the 19 .dat files zipped but I don't know how to attach files to the message. Excuse me, I'm a beginner!
  9. @daflyboys My OS is Windows XP Media Center edition, Service Pack 2. To be precise, when I play in "Season" mode with a Roster installed, the Astros appear in the NL from the very beginning, despite the fact that I had changed the line in the team.dat file as I said in the last post. I've really tried everything, I don't know anymore what to do. :-( Thank you!
  10. Hi! Great work!! I've got a problem. After having modded my MVP2005 to MVP12, I'm now trying to install 2013 rosters (I've tried both tugofca and grmrpr1313 but it's the same) but when I do it, the Astros come back to NL! Before, I had changed the line in the team.dat file with notepad to: 00b87f3f1,0 Hou,1 Houston,2 Astros,3 HOU,4 0,5 0,6 22,7 0,8 0,9 0,10 0,11 0,12 1,13 0,14 0,15 0,16 0,17 0,18 0,19 0,20 1,21 0,22 0,23 0,24 0,25 0,26 0,27 0,28 1,29 0,30 0,31 0,32 0,33 1,34 1,35 0,36 0,37 1,38 0,39 0,40 0,41 2,42 0,43 2,44 1,45 2,46 1,47 2,48 1,49 1,50 2,51 0,52 2,53 1,54 0,; I've tried everything (deleting the files and not overwriting them, saving the team.dat file to desktop and then putting it into the database folder, after having deleted the old team.dat file, modifying the schedule.big file before or after having modified the team.dat file) but it doesn't work. I've also tried changing the number after the 6 but nothing: the Astros remain in the NL. Only playing the default version of MVP12, the Astros regularly move to the AL. I underline that I haven't done any in-game editing, only installed the two versions - separately - of 2013 rosters. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!
