Secondly, I am surprised that as a techie and programmer ( I am also in the tech field in Linux administration and C++ experience as well) that you continue to use Norton! I suppose it's a preference - Norton will produce false positives on almost anything it seems. Let me turn you on to avast! antivirus. Try the free one first, it is very sufficient but I do really recommend the wallet friendly pay version. Also, another great alternative is Kaspersky!

Man, I totally agree. I like going to different thrift shops and and checking out old games and technology. Yesterday I saw an EA pack for PC with 4 games.. All from 2003. I almost bought it but I was looking for NHL 2004. I know I can get it online but it would have been cool if they had it. Thanks for the compliment btw!

The best solution in my years of disc repair is toothpaste. The material gets into the tiny cracks and it's amazing how well it works.. Rub in a dime sized circle of toothpaste (dry) and cover the surface of the disc. Let sit 5 minutes or so and clean off with a wet towel. Dry lightly.

The reason behind this is that the program itself - just as a directory full of files - will not function if not registered in the registry and set up to compatibility standards with the computer. This is why programs require a setup and/or installation phase.

I read this very well written book in grade school probably 20 times. I was a very advanced reader for my age so this book is definitely adult appropriate too. Very good book, it brings back memories.
