  1. no, I applied patches 3 and 5. do i need to apply 2 specifically and nothing else?
  2. Yankee4Life, this is why I mentioned earlier that I wouldn't mind playing the original MVP05 with just updated rosters, as long as it runs really well. For some reason MVP13 is really choppy for me.
  3. I tried changing vertical sync to off on the original MVP05 on W7, and it worked great. It ran flawlessly. But when I play MVP13 on W7, it's very choppy, vertical sync or not. I'm about to try MVP13 on XP, but considering how I have MVP05 running better on 7 than XP, I doubt it will work.
  4. maybe i could check for updates for the new xp i just got, maybe that will make a difference. the speed is good on xp but it still could be a bit better. if i upgrade my 7 i would gain the xp compatibility feature. would using this while playing it make that much of a difference? guess i have some experimenting to do tonight
  5. and i've been pretty good with making sure it's the only program running when i play it.
  6. genuine intel r cpu u4100 @ 1.30 GHz for processor. Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. mobile intel r 4 series express chipset family for display adapter or graphics card. dell laptop. hope this helps.
  7. you're right, I misinterpreted what he said. My apologies. Now, back to my original comment, is there anything else I can do to help the game run faster on XP or 7 that I'm missing? I've tried changing the resolution and textures/density/detail in MyMVP on XP but it didn't help much. I wonder if it would in 7 because back when I played it in 7 I didn't know it was possible to change those settings.
  8. Well how can I use it to help run the game? Like how can I use it to improve my graphics?
  9. I'm trying to see if it'll help the game run faster.
  10. So I just tried MVP05 without any mods on XP and it runs soooo much better than on 7. However, there is still a decent amount of choppiness. I tried playing around with the resolution under MyMVP, as well as changing the texture, detail and density options to low, but that made little to no difference. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for how I could make it run more smoothly on XP. daflyboys, I'll try installing Adobe CS2 on XP now and see if it makes a difference. Thanks.
  11. Thanks for the suggestions. I've just installed VMware and I'm now running windows xp on it successfully. I'll try to download MVP05 on there and see how it runs. If that doesn't work out, I've found the Adobe Creative Suite 2, so I'll download that in that case. I'll let you know how things go.
  12. I just finished downloading XP, I'm going to see if running it on that makes a difference. I have 7 Home Premium so I don't have XP compatibility mode.
  13. I just recently downloaded MVP13 and have been playing it for the past few days. Whenever it gets into a game, it runs really slow. I have no problem navigating the menus at a good speed, but when it gets into a game it's too slow to enjoy it at all. I was wondering if there was a way I could get it to run faster. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I heard that it works great on XP. Is this true? If so, how and where can I change my system to XP? Or do you have any other suggestions? Does playing the original MVP05 and just modding certain parts of it run faster than the MVP13 total conversion mod? Thank you for the help.

    Mvp13 Help

I just recently downloaded MVP13 and have been playing it for the past few days. Whenever it gets into a game, it runs really slow. 15. They work now. Thanks for the help! Gonna use Loclook now.
  16. Actually, turns out my asf files have been going to the music folder all along. I just had to click on compatibility files once I was in the folder.
  17. Could it be that my asf files are too big? I just looked at the size of one of them now and it was 12.9 MB.
  18. I read that thread before I created this topic. I'm running ditty from my downloads. Is that a bad directory? Where do you run yours from?
  19. I'm having a problem putting my own music onto the MVP13 mod. In Ditty Importer, when I select my mp3 as the convert file and the easportsmvpbaseball2005audiocdmusic as the output folder, it runs but the new asf file never shows up in the music folder. I then tried downloads for a different output folder, and the asf files did show up. I changed their names to menu1 etc., deleted the original asf files from the music folder, and copied and pasted my new ones into the music folder. And it didn't work when I played the game. The original music was still there. I read somewhere about how you can't delete the original music, you have to overwrite it for it to work. Thankfully, the original music was still in my recycle bin, so I have put it back into the music folder. Is there an overwrite option? If so, I'm missing it. Or maybe I have a different issue altogether. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and everything else in terms of the game and mods has worked perfectly so far. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
