I noticed how the color of the number on the back of the jersey also controls the color of the number on the back of the helmet. Is there something similar that controls the color of the belt?

So I'm trying to make a few uniforms for my Cardinals, just to change things up a bit here and there. I was using the batting practice unis from the 2k15 overhaul as a base. I wanted to change the color of the jersey from red to blue. What I did: I used the NBA mod tool to extract the .dds thing I made some changes using GIMP saved it as BC3/DTX5 Imported it back into the .iff Put .iff in the game folder and booted up the game This is what my .dds looked like And in game the blue only showed at certain angles, with the red completely overpowering it Is there a step I missed? Another file that needs editing?

My suggestion for the start of the baseball season

I think it's a good idea. You could usually add St. Louis to that list. We're normally at least a little warmer than Washington or Baltimore at the season's start -

Well you quoted my post.. but the question about ebay wasn't part of the original.. so I'm assuming that's your question Expect to pay pretty close to triple digits (I paid about $80ish).. I hear rumors that every now and then there's one that pops up pretty cheap though At the same time.. thanks to these wonderful folks here.. I may never have to buy another baseball game again -
Fans do have that ability to an extent. You can select any active player through the "write-in" spot. It's been like that for the past couple years that I've noticed. Imagine what the world would be like if everyone wrote in Pete Kozma

So, I was just messing around in A for a wee bit of fun, I do that from time to time. Today I figured that it may be a bit entertaining to drop the difficulty and test the arm of some poor catcher wishing that he'll one day be the next Johnny Bench or whoever. 32 stolen bases later, and a poor catchers dreams crushed, I still love "small ball" lol Edit: I have no idea how to post a picture.. the "drag files here" is not the right way Edit of the Edit: Got it!

My opinion.. the new NBA game costs $60, and after you get MVP up to date it really does feel like an entirely new game. I think it's worth the $60, especially since that's a wee bit less than I paid lol

Are you trying to play in windowed mode?

I'm not sure if this is intentional or not.. but Tony Cingrani (Left handed reliever) of the Reds has a longer wind up with runners on. He seems to have a more simplified approach when the bases are empty. Maybe these are flip flopped? Or he could be like that in the real world, I don't recall ever seeing him pitch lol That's using your update that you released yesterday (8 April) I love the roster though! Just thought I'd bring this to your attention

Mvp Baseball 2005-Your First Experience
kozmafan223 replied to dennisjames71's topic in Left Field (Off-Topic)
I got this game on Gamecube way back in the day. It was amazing, as were all EA Sports games from 2005. This quickly became my second favorite game, right behind NASCAR 2005 Chase for the Cup. I would spend hours of my life after school playing as my two favorite athletes of all time, Jeff Gordon and Reggie Sanders. Being able to bounce from the thrills of making left turns and driving inches away from a wall at 200 mph, to leading off with a David Eckstein single, Larry Walker ground out (I could never hit with Larry Walker) and Albert Pujols 2 run blast by only changing out a single disk will forever be a very memorable part of my childhood. Later on, in 2013, my Gamecube stopped working, and I was sad. I got 2k10 and NASCAR the Game, but they weren't the same. There were no minor leagues, no Ramon Baez to show up out of no where 2-3 seasons in to lead the Cardinals to victory. Life had been forever changed, or so it seemed. By this time I had mostly switched to PC gaming with the likes of the Elder Scrolls, Civilization and Total War series. Then I found out that MVP Baseball 2005 had been made for PC back in the day. This was in June of 2014. I found it for sale on Ebay, it was pricey, but the mystic powers of nostalgia were irresistible. It took 6 days for my game to show up. They felt like a lifetime. I installed the game the second I got home from work. It was very nice, but I found myself having trouble setting up the controls, so I just played with keyboard for a while. Eventually (August, September maybe? something around there) I decided enough was enough and I went to google to learn how to set up my controller. I found a thread on some crazy website called mvpmods. I read this thread, it taught me all I needed to know to get my controller configured and play MVP Baseball the right way. I also discovered the super awesome power of mods. And I was happy Note: when I say "some crazy website" I mean it in a good way Edit: Just found out it was actually October 2014, no August or September.. I guess time doesn't fly quite as fast when you're having fun as it used to -
I don't know anything about making portraits, but I think it looks nice

Changed the cyber faces and now it works perfectly! Thank you!

Ya, every mode, the loading bar for the game gets about half way up and then.. bam, game crashes I haven't tried cyberfaces yet, I'll give that a go

I've been looking around (and am still looking around) with no luck thus far, so I figured I might as well ask. I've been having problems with rosters, but only with ones that I have downloaded. Any roster I have attempted to download have crashed the game (vanilla up to patch #5 and 2 uniforms). The problem doesn't exist when using the default roster or the copy of the original default rosters that I saved before applying the patches (I really like that one lol). I've tried a 2008, 3 2011, a 2012, a 2013 and a 2014. All of them ended with the same result of a crash while loading a game. Any help would be much appreciated Thanks in advance

Royals have this magical thing called momentum, they haven't lost a game since Sept. 27. Good luck on stopping that train, because it's running full speed. Not to mention that Kansas City has home field advantage. I think that will be the deciding factor in this one. Royals win in 5

I'm having this same problem. I just want to make sure I understand correctly. To prevent this I have to turn off injuries, suspensions AND trades?

Never mind, I have figured it out. For those of you wondering how, if you go to the options menu then to display options (or settings, something like that) it is like the 3rd or 4th-ish option down.

Hey folks.. I'm not sure if this question has been asked before, if it has I apologize, I have not been able to find it. Just send me in the right direction and I'll figure it out from there Anyways.. is it possible for the changes within the "Visual Settings" menu permanent? The only way I have been able to find this menu is during games. I am referring to the menu that allows you to change the view during pitching/batting/fielding and whatnot. I like having the screen from behind the pitcher while pitching, but changing it every game is just a wee bit tedious. So, to sum up, is there any way I can make the options I select a permanent part of the game, or will I need to change it every time I play? Thanks

The year changer requires the .NET framework 2.0 I'm not sure about how it'll work with this, but I know with other programs I have used in the past, newer models were not capable of running programs based on the older models of the .NET framework. That could be your problem. You can get the correct framework from microsoft's website
