  1. I just noticed the MLBTR "widget" on the right side of the front page (under the MLB News "widget"). Nice!
  2. I had a moment or two of difficulty finding where this is. So, for anyone looking for it: It's the dropdown box next to the languange selection box (lower left of page)... the default selection in the skin box is "mvpmods" and the default language (of course) is "English." BTW: I love the Cardinals outfield wall (and the STL background). I like the Cubs brick wall... but shouldn't it be ivy?
  3. Fixed (thanks, tebjr).
  4. I'm having the same problem. <_<
  5. I can't tell you if they're "worth it" because only you can decide how much you want to spend on entertainment stuff... ...but if you have an HD-TV/Flat-Panel... you are definately able to tell the difference. It's not that DVD is poor quality... it's just that BluRay is crazy detailed.
  6. I feel you, there. I'm having a bit of a rough go of things lately.
  7. VERY cool idea, HFLR. I'm sure someone will come in and say everything that makes it horrible and terrible and why you should never attempt to make a wallpaper again (lol) - but as for my personal opinion - very interesting idea, and well executed.
  8. Wait. You mean out of the hundeds and hundreds of players in the roster, you didn't demand perfection on the 5 or 6 you just so happen to pay the closest attention to??? You just went about your business and made your own personal tweaks yourself??? Unheard of!
  9. :lmao: What the?!!? Why does Albert Pujols have 94 power versus lefties, it should be 95 because if you do the math it's 94.6 and rounding should make that 95! WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU, KG??? THESE ROSTERS SUCK!
  10. Dude. Seriously? If you have such a problem w/ KG's ratings - just don't ever use his roster again. Go make your own or something, since you seem convinced you know so much better than him how players should be rated. Seriously - you are annoying the ever-living crap out of EVERYONE in here, with your taking issue with so many ratings, and then being completely unable to follow a simple conversation. It honestly seems to me that you were being intentionally dense during that last "discussion" - at least I hope you were - because if you weren't, you might need to brush up on your reading comprehension skills. Just sayin'. I don't know why you've deemed it neccessary to come in here and nitpick everything about KG's roster - but I am aware that KG enjoys comments and constructive critisism - but you have officially gone way beyond that now.
  11. Well, obviously, in-game, the most direct and obvious way to lower someone's batting average is to drop their contact numbers. But the OTHER way is to remove their plate discipline, and also to adjust their liklihood of swinging-and-missing at the various pitches, which can be edited in-game as well. This is how you try to strike a more realistic balance. As for power - obviously this is the only real way to alter someone's homer numbers, unless there is a way to alter the flyball/groundball tendency of a hitter, which at the moment (since I don't have MVPedit open) - I don't recall if there is or not. :)
  12. You missed the point. The "contact" rating in the game isn't how often the player gets a hit. It's how often the player actually makes contact with the ball, with his bat. You may want to lower Fukudome's "Plate Discipline." Once you put the ball in play, it's up to a lot of variables as to wether or not you get a hit - placement of defenders, skill of defenders, how hard the ball was hit, luck, wind, etc etc etc etc. Fukudome makes contact a lot. He's just not recording a whole mess of hits. The Ichiro example was brought up because he has seen a drop in his batting average this year - but NOT a significant drop in the number of balls he is putting in play (making contact with the bat). So, all those "variables" I mentioned above - are working AGAINST him this season, as opposed to FOR HIM like they were last season. Just an example. I think you misunderstand what "contact" means. It doesn't translate directly to batting average - it translates to the liklihood of NOT striking out. For example: Adam Dunn hits for a lot of power, and takes a lot of walks, but also has a terrible average, because he's kind of a feast-or-famine hitter. So Dunn would have high power, high plate discipline, but somewhat low contact numbers. Why? He tends to swing and miss alot.
  13. what the ?%$# is going on in that video? Did they intentionally hit the umpire?
  14. lol - it's a little out there, it's true - but that kid made some pretty impressive s**t. I couldn't make stuff like that, when I was that age - no way. Probably couldn't do it now, even if I wanted to. If those videos get out around his school, it might eventually set his dating back a year. Or five. Or ten. But for right now - that kind busted his butt and made some pretty cool stuff.
  15. This is really interesting, and cool to see the videos. Keep it up!
  16. Grumpy is fine. I'm grumpy all the time. For instance - my backyard looks like a friggin' swimming pool thanks to all this rain in St. Louis. It is making me grumpy. Grumpy. Grumpy grumpy. Sorry - kind of fun to say (and type).
  17. You're fine. Don't worry about it.
  18. So what? Is there a request limit? It's not like this is a big queue of requirements for you guys making wallpapers. It's requests. Thus, when a request shows up that one of the "artists" is interested in making, they can. Who gives a rat's butt how many requests people make? What, are these guys going to fall behind deadline? Ease up, wrigley, my man.
  19. Congratulations, themewin!!! Always exciting, starting a new "chapter" in your life! Sounds contrite, I know, but college was a big change, and an exciting time for me. I'm sure it will be for you, too. Good luck, and all that jazz.
  20. What are you, drunk? lol, just kidding. No - spungo sometimes likes to ask for donations if someone wants to see something they requested moved up along his chain of priorities. He has NEVER asked for people to donate (pay) for him to release his mods AT ALL. There's a difference there.
  21. This is not "whine about thespungo" hour. This is not the purpose of this thread or this website. If you guys don't like spungo - fine. I don't care. This thread isn't for complaining about spungo as a person, or how he does his thing, it's about talking about or reviewing the quality of his uniform work. Not how he releases it, or prioritizes working on it. You wanna complain about it? PM him, or eachother, I don't care. Don't make me get the hose. (admire my womanly hands!)
  22. You're supposed to learn to be a normal, functioning member of society. Not one that just spouts off at the mouth whenever the opportunity to cause some trouble arises. You like trouble, it would seem. Well, spungo is certainly one that will be willing to give it to you. But, since the staff here likes to try to keep things civil and to a dull-roar, maybe you should try just shutting up for once.
  23. You said the key words. You're Canadian. "We" might be able to... but you? No. You. Can't. :lmao: Just givin' ya trouble, DJ.
