  1. It's generally frowned on, yes. Because why you might just be posting it to reference it in this case, it leads to worse abuses later. It's like a gateway drug. For... plagarism... ? lol.
  2. Oh, any by the way - your readme/description says current as of 01/10/2006. That's pretty out-of-date. lol.
  3. Hey KG - I've asked this question before about the Ultimate Rosters set - but am unsure about YOUR set... I have the '06 mod installed, and that's about it. I'm waiting for the '07 before I do any further tinkering. SO - which one of your roster sets do I want to DL to use with my game?
  4. I know you've seen it elsewhere, but just to remind you: Mulder resigned to Cards. 2 years guaranteed, club option for 3rd year.
  5. Yes. Fear not. It won't be nearly as rediculously easy as it was with the stock game. So yes, it will be fixed. And if you end up unhappy with it anyway - it's as easy as downloading and installing a new datafile.txt to change the difficulty.
  6. But... then what would everyone complain about? Oh yeah... how hard the potching is.
  7. Seriously fellas - there are enough constant contributors to fill 10 25-man rosters on this site. There is simply NO WAY everybody who posts a lot or feels they are a "fantatic" about the site can fit into the FF-squad, just like there are way more than 25 dedicated modders that would fill the Mod-Squad. The two 25-man teams were picked based on involvement in the site way back when it was in its earlier days, and who contributed to the project, things like that. I post a lot too - but the rosters aren't just about who wants to be on, who thinks they deserve to be on, etc etc - it's also about who the builders of the mod WANTED on the rosters - because in the end - IT'S THEIR MOD. (Not sure if it was Kraw who was primarily responsible for those rosters or not). This should not be a big deal. At all.
  8. Can I replace you on the Forum Fanatics roster? :lmao: Just kidding, man.
  9. Hey it's not totally impossible. The fact that all these modders are spread all over the country and world make it a little harder to really "get together" and work on such an involved project. And yes - they would need CODERS to build a game engine and GUI, etc. But they could just release a game with a bunch of fake players in it. Jon Dowd, anyone? Obviously, this game would cost MONEY to purchase. And then, sometime after release, I'm sure somebody would release a roster update (for free) that contained real player names. But anyway - all that is just conjecture, and the likelyhood of that happening is about 0%. Anyway, as for the MVP07 mod - I'm excited about the idea. I'm not asking for any release date kind of info, but do you have any general update for us Kraw (as far as if you're still working on it)? If not, obviously, that's fine.
  10. lol - based on a post in another thread I made a little joke sig: Robbing a homerun over the green monster. lol.
  11. I was trying to help Ace152 make a banner for his baseball team - but I was having trouble doing anything quality with the graphics he provided. More info on what he's looking for, plus my iffy first-attempt are all in THIS thread. LINK: http://www.mvpmods.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=25964.html I was hoping some of you amazingly talented guys in here might be able to help him better than I was.
  12. Wow that's really exciting! Congratulations! I'd love to get a job somewhere in baseball. I was recently contacted by a staff-member of the St. Louis Post Dispatch about a position he wanted to reccomend me for at MLB.com (writing) - I'm pursuing it, but I'm pretty sure there will be many, many other applicants whose qualifications blow me out of the water. Hey - there's always hope, though. :)
  13. I go by RaptorQuiz. "Quiz," because it is part of my last name, and has been my nick-name in "real people land" for years. "Raptor" because I am actually a pack-hunting, flesh-eating, fear-inducing Velociraptor dinosaur. ... In addition to being a long-extinct hunting beast... I am 26 years old, graduated from Truman State University, and can't seem to get a "big-boy job" to save my life.
  14. Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. Okay... a simply "wrong" would've done just fine.
  15. I don't think there's THAT much extra. Obviously he wanted all of the "A" symbol, and all of his hat and all of his glove. So if he doesn't want to clip any of that off, he'd have to (at least) resize the pitcher's image. And then probably the "A" logo.
  16. Oh yeah - that didn't even occur to me at first. Duh. ...still like the sig, tho. :)
  17. Hey, that's not bad at all! I take it that's a minor league affiliate in your area? I really like they color scheme - it fits with the uniform pretty well, in my opinion.
  18. Oh wow he got FIRED??? Geez that seems a bit harsh for a somewhat off-the-cuff remark.
  19. Uh... dude... if a guy (player or otherwise) was naked in the dugout, I think you might have some legal issues involving the thousands of fans who might tend to call that indecent exposure. I guess you meant locker room, which is not where this incident took place - it was in the dugout. Now, with that clarified: I couldn't disagree with you more. She's one of the trainers. The trainers are often in the dugout. You know - in case a player needs a trainer. You have a problem with women in the dugout? How about with female reporters in the locker room? I can see the second one being more of a problem for people - but in the dugout? How can that be a problem? I don't know if you knew this - but a large percentage of the mascots are females under those Fredbirds and Philly Phanatics. <gasp!> I guess they shouldn't be allowed down there around the players anymore. (Sarcasm). Man, I guess you're really going to crap in your pants when a female finally makes a minor league baseball team somewhere. It's gotta happen some day - I'm fairly shocked it hasn't already. There've been 2 college football teams with a female on the roster already (both were kickers - but still). I'm honestly shocked that anybody would take issue with a female being some place as public as the dugout. What? Should we ban them from the stadium too? I don't like them being so close to such a manly sport. (Once again, sarcasm).
