This installer gives you the option of installing one of three different classic overlays:

- The current Total Classics Overlay
- OTBJoel's Classic Overlay
- OTBJoell's Classic Overlay with InfoBar

This is the same package included with Total Classics 10, however, you can now get it without having to download Total Classics 10. In addition, Joel's latest overlay with infobar is included. This is newer than the one included with Total Classics 10.

Users have the option of installing the overlay with an automated installer or manually by copying the files. Complete installation instructions, complete with pictures are included with the download.

Credit for the overlays themselves goes to Trues for developing the Total Classics Overlay and to OTBJoel for his two classic overlays, one with an InfoBar and one without.

The Total Classics mod provides 120 classic teams covering the years 1906 - 2006. Besides rosters, portraits, uniforms, faces and audios, the mod provides themed menu screens and loading screens, stadium select screens with actual stadium photos, classic overlays and classic stadiums.

The modifications used are done for the sole purpose to view/hear past MLB baseball refences. All modifications were done and created voluntarily with personally owned materials and software programs. Some materials were referenced from several personal sites. There is NO monetary request and/or gain to anyone associated with this mod. The modification is to be viewed and heard with NO commercial or personal monetary gains for anyone. There is no association with this mod and EA Sports, MLB the MLBPA and NBHOF of any kind. Simply a mod to have fun!

new and updated faces, over 50 updated portraits, roster tweaks, updated

This mod contains eight different combo datafiles. Four of the datafiles use the normal (i.e. bigger) pitch meter and four of them use a smaller pitch meter to make pitching more challenging and to help produce more walks.

There are two main folders:

- Normal pitch meter
- Small pitch meter

Under each of these folders, there are four additional subfolders:

- Default
- Walkup Music On
- Foul Ball Replays On
- Walkup Music and Foul Ball Replays On

All of the datafiles under the "Small pitch meter" folder contain the following:

- Spitoon's walk fix (which reduces the size of the "sweet spot" in the pitching meter)
- SeralMike's Walk and Strikeout Fix to provide the proper balance of walks and strikeouts.

SerialMike recommends setting the User Pitch Meter Difficulty Slider to 0. If you find the pitching too easy, you can make the slider more negative. If you find the pitching too difficult, you can make the slider more positive.

Besides the pitch meter modifications, the datafiles in the subfolders are as follows:

4. Walkup Music and Foulball Replays On datafile

The Walkup Music and Foulball Replay On datafile is the same as the Default version above except that it turns on Batter Walkup Music and Foul Ball Replays

To install, select your desired the datafile and extract it to your MVP2005 Baseball \ data folder.

Here is a mod that should increase the enjoyment for those using Total Classics. Using MVPEdit, I have added portraits for all of the classic teams in phase 2 of the Total Classics project. This mod consists of two parts: 1. A portrait.big file that contains portraits for all teams in Total Classics Phase 2 2. A set of rosters with unique portrait IDs assigned to each player (if a portrait exists). In addition, the proper won-loss record for each classic team is now displayed when a game is started. Changes from v1.0 ----------------- It was pointed out to me that in v1.0, the following 4 players on the MVP Heroes team were missing portraits: Juan Marichal (ID #2145) Willie McCovey (ID #2147) Gaylord Perry (ID #2150) Willie Stargell (ID #2161) Portraits for these players have been added in Total Classic Portraits v1.1 Note that only the portrait.big file has been updated in this release. The roster files are the same as they were in the v1.0 release.

The Total Classics Walk Through History mod brings together some of the best teams from the early 1900's through the early 1950's for dynasty play. The following teams selected from Total Classics Phase 9 are included:

This is an add-on mod for the Total Classics 1956 single season conversion mod.
