    Manager Faces

I've had this game since it came out and have been through pretty much every file. I've never heard of a file named "mvp-ids". Show me exactly where this file is. If you can see manager portraits, please take a screen shot for us and post it. Are you sure you are talking about MVP2005 and not another game???

    Manager Faces

You can't. Managers don't have portraits.
  3. Tell him that the Total Classics mods are still going strong, with many new additions since he was last here. He'll be happy to hear that since he was so instrumental in getting the original Total Classics mod going.
  4. Is that where it is? Y4L - You're teaching me something new!
  5. My daughter definitely has a gift and it showed from an early age. A nephew on my wife's side is severely handicapped and when we would all gather at my in-laws for family events (my wife has 7 brothers and sisters) and all the kids would be running around playing, my daughter would be sitting on the floor with my nephew, rubbing his head and talking to him. Her best friend is a boy with Down Syndrome that she met when they were in 7th grade together. He's become like a brother to her and like a member of our family. When it came time to think about a career and look into colleges, my daughter knew that she wanted to be a Special Education teacher for elementary school kids with severe disabilities. She's been doing some pre-practicum work in elementary schools as part of her work for her major and she loves it. I know that she is going to be very successful once she gets into a school after she graduates.
  6. My middle daughter is a junior in college, studying to be a Special Education teacher. Every time I read about a school shooting, I get a knot in my stomach, wondering if my daughter will ever have to go through something like that......
  7. I used Moser's High Heat uniforms and I used many of Royal Blues' uniforms in my early TC mods. Most are no longer around, as Dennis James has re-done the uniforms in most of my mods.
  8. The MVP06 mod is right here: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=2844
  9. I believe that when he worked on the MVP08 mod, Kraw did something the the mvp2005.exe file itself to change the location of the save folder. If you look at the date stamp on the mvp2005.exe, you will see that it has a 2008 date rather than the 2004 or 2005 date like the .exe file that came with the game.
  10. I think it used something from the MVP08 mod, which put the profile in that folder.
  11. The work of both of these guys is prominently featured in a number of the TC mods. Picking through their uniforms was like being a kid in a candy store. I'll take one of these and one of those and one of those....
  12. Two more great selections here. Don (stecropper) was the inspiration for me getting into single season modding. After seeing what was possible the *61 mod, I decided to try my hand and modding a single season. The result of that exercise was TC1978. Don took the time to answer all my questions, and without his help during those early days, I never would have gotten TC1978 out the door and continued on to create more mods. Homer's faces are great and I'm a big fan of his classic player faces. You can see many of them in the Total Classics mods.
  13. Those horns are called vuvuzuelas and they were rather annoying. They were so obnoxious in fact that UEFA (Europe's governing soccer authority) banned them from all of their competitions after 2010. For next year's World Cup in Brazil, you (well, not you guys) will be hearing the sound of the caxirola, which has been approved by Brazil's Ministry of Sport: http://edition.cnn.com/2013/04/29/sport/football/caxirola-brazil-world-cup-2014-vuvuzela/index.html
  14. I guess I'm in the minority here because I enjoy soccer. My oldest daughter started playing soccer at age 5 and continued all the way up through her first year in college, when an injury forced her to take a break for a few years. For the last two years, she's been playing in an adult league with her boyfriend. Over the years, I've probably watched hundreds of games. To me, there's a certain beauty in the way a team can move the ball down the field with a series of pinpoint passes, ultimately resulting in a goal. Also, on any given day, there's no guarantee that the stronger team will be the winner. I think that's why I enjoy watching the World Cup (both men's and women's). I will say that I'm no fan of players who flop, trying to ean a cheap foul call in their favor. I'll also admit that the way you guys feel about soccer is the way I feel about hockey. I've tried watching it, thinking of it as soccer on skates, but can't find a way to enjoy the game. Plus, I see no reason for fighting. To me, it stops the whole flow of the game. If fighting is such a good idea in hockey, why do players in every other sport get ejected from the game (and fined or suspended) when they fight? To each, their own, I guess.....
  15. I'll sell you my copy for $750K.......
  16. I was going to make the same point that Homer did. Hory created many of the team and stadium name announcements for me when I initially created TC1978, my first total conversion mod.
  17. The majority of the file formats between the two games are different. Unless they are listed as MVP2004 mods, all of the MVP mods you see here (including the classic mods) are sor MVP2005. I have no idea if MVP2004 will work on Windows 8.
  18. These are great choices and they are two of my favorite modders. Each one is definitely a stickler for details and their mods reflect this. Most of my TC mods include their work and you've only touched the tip of the iceberg on the mods they've each created. Dennis created ALL the uniforms and ALL of the menu / loading screens for TC1941. He created a full set of uniforms for TC1946, TC1956, TC1964, TC1969 and TC1978. Dennis also created numerous stadium updates. Search the downloads and enter his name in the "author" field and you will get 10 pages of results! Paul's stadiums are true works of art. His Yankee Stadium classic and 1950's Milwaukee County Stadium are two of my favorites. He also created a number of other TC year-specific stadiums that only appear in some of my TC mods. Paul also collaborated with SeanO, another favorite stadium modder of mine, to create some great stadiums.
  19. Why do I think that you let out a cheer when Ortiz got plunked?
  20. Where did Tiant get that green baseball?
  21. Did you actually look in the MVP2004 Downloads section??? The seasons are listed in the mod titles. Here's a link to the rosters page: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app=downloads&showcat=5
  22. You'll need to post your files to a file sharing site like MediaFire or some other site and put a link to it in your mod download page. One of the admins can then review the mod and if it looks OK, they can upload it here.
  23. This is the wrong forum to ask this question. In any case, here is your answer: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?showtopic=54548
