    1958 Bats

The bats are inside the datainitstaz.big file. Try copying that file to your game's dynasty folder and see if they show up. You might have to edit your rosters to make sure that the bat is selected for all players, however, which would mean that you'd have to restart your dynasty after exporting the modified rosters.

    Eovaldi

Did he put what in -- the cyberface? All Yankee4Life did was move your request to the proper folder and add a picture to this thread. He's not a cyberface developer.

What do you mean by "generic"? It looks fine to me.

Total Classics 1958 By Jim825 & dennisjames71 In the 1950,s the Braves moved from Boston to Milwaukee, the Browns from St. Louis to Baltimore, the Athletics from Philadelphia to Kansas City, and for the 1958 baseball season -- in the most shocking moves of all -- the Dodgers and the Giants from New York to California. Ebbets Field was leveled (the Polo Grounds stood for several additional years), as the Dodgers made a home of Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and the Giants set up shop at Seals Stadium in San Francisco. A record 78,672 attendees saw the Giants down the Dodgers on Opening Day at the Coliseum; the teams went on to pull in 167,204 supporters for the three-game series. The Dodgers drew 1,845,556 fans by year's end. Both teams would soon build new stadiums. ------------------------------------------- The Total Classics 1958 mod brings you the sights and sounds of the 1958 baseball season. Besides rosters, portraits, uniforms and audios, the mod provides themed menu and loading screens, stadium select screens with actual stadium photos, 1958 jukebox music, 1958 batter walkup music, an accurate 1958 schedule and correct 1950's era stadiums for every team. The mod also includes OTBJoel's great Legends from the Booth audio with Vin Scully, Mel Allen and Ernie Harwell calling the game. ------------------------------------------- *** INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS *** - After you download the total_classics_1958.7z file, double-click to open it. - Extract the contents of the file into a folder. - Double-click the explodeme.exe file - Find the location of a CLEAN (or patched) copy of MVP Baseball 2005 and click "Extract". - Allow the program to extract all of the new content. - Play the new Total Classics 1958 mod. ------------------------------------------- *** VERSION HISTORY *** v2.0 Fixed Mickey Mantle player audio v1.0 Initial release
  5. What exactly do you mean by this? It's an unconstructive comment and it sounds like you are attacking Yankee4Life. Please stop or there will be consequences....
  6. It's been taken care of.....

    Manager Faces

I've had this game since it came out and have been through pretty much every file. I've never heard of a file named "mvp-ids". Show me exactly where this file is. If you can see manager portraits, please take a screen shot for us and post it. Are you sure you are talking about MVP2005 and not another game???

    Manager Faces

You can't. Managers don't have portraits.
  10. Tell him that the Total Classics mods are still going strong, with many new additions since he was last here. He'll be happy to hear that since he was so instrumental in getting the original Total Classics mod going.
  11. Is that where it is? Y4L - You're teaching me something new!
  12. My daughter definitely has a gift and it showed from an early age. A nephew on my wife's side is severely handicapped and when we would all gather at my in-laws for family events (my wife has 7 brothers and sisters) and all the kids would be running around playing, my daughter would be sitting on the floor with my nephew, rubbing his head and talking to him. Her best friend is a boy with Down Syndrome that she met when they were in 7th grade together. He's become like a brother to her and like a member of our family. When it came time to think about a career and look into colleges, my daughter knew that she wanted to be a Special Education teacher for elementary school kids with severe disabilities. She's been doing some pre-practicum work in elementary schools as part of her work for her major and she loves it. I know that she is going to be very successful once she gets into a school after she graduates.
  13. My middle daughter is a junior in college, studying to be a Special Education teacher. Every time I read about a school shooting, I get a knot in my stomach, wondering if my daughter will ever have to go through something like that......
  14. I used Moser's High Heat uniforms and I used many of Royal Blues' uniforms in my early TC mods. Most are no longer around, as Dennis James has re-done the uniforms in most of my mods.
  15. The MVP06 mod is right here: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=2844
  16. I believe that when he worked on the MVP08 mod, Kraw did something the the mvp2005.exe file itself to change the location of the save folder. If you look at the date stamp on the mvp2005.exe, you will see that it has a 2008 date rather than the 2004 or 2005 date like the .exe file that came with the game.
  17. I think it used something from the MVP08 mod, which put the profile in that folder.
  18. The work of both of these guys is prominently featured in a number of the TC mods. Picking through their uniforms was like being a kid in a candy store. I'll take one of these and one of those and one of those....
  19. Two more great selections here. Don (stecropper) was the inspiration for me getting into single season modding. After seeing what was possible the *61 mod, I decided to try my hand and modding a single season. The result of that exercise was TC1978. Don took the time to answer all my questions, and without his help during those early days, I never would have gotten TC1978 out the door and continued on to create more mods. Homer's faces are great and I'm a big fan of his classic player faces. You can see many of them in the Total Classics mods.
  20. Those horns are called vuvuzuelas and they were rather annoying. They were so obnoxious in fact that UEFA (Europe's governing soccer authority) banned them from all of their competitions after 2010. For next year's World Cup in Brazil, you (well, not you guys) will be hearing the sound of the caxirola, which has been approved by Brazil's Ministry of Sport: http://edition.cnn.com/2013/04/29/sport/football/caxirola-brazil-world-cup-2014-vuvuzela/index.html
  21. I guess I'm in the minority here because I enjoy soccer. My oldest daughter started playing soccer at age 5 and continued all the way up through her first year in college, when an injury forced her to take a break for a few years. For the last two years, she's been playing in an adult league with her boyfriend. Over the years, I've probably watched hundreds of games. To me, there's a certain beauty in the way a team can move the ball down the field with a series of pinpoint passes, ultimately resulting in a goal. Also, on any given day, there's no guarantee that the stronger team will be the winner. I think that's why I enjoy watching the World Cup (both men's and women's). I will say that I'm no fan of players who flop, trying to ean a cheap foul call in their favor. I'll also admit that the way you guys feel about soccer is the way I feel about hockey. I've tried watching it, thinking of it as soccer on skates, but can't find a way to enjoy the game. Plus, I see no reason for fighting. To me, it stops the whole flow of the game. If fighting is such a good idea in hockey, why do players in every other sport get ejected from the game (and fined or suspended) when they fight? To each, their own, I guess.....
  22. I'll sell you my copy for $750K.......
  23. I was going to make the same point that Homer did. Hory created many of the team and stadium name announcements for me when I initially created TC1978, my first total conversion mod.
