  1. IT SURE DOES!! One of the most important rules on this website is that we do not condone software piracy and do not provide support to those who have obtained the game illegally. You can read this in the forum rules: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app=forums&module=extras&section=boardrules If you buy the game legally, we'll be glad to help. Otherwise, please do not ask any more questions. Doing so will result in you being banned from this website.
  2. Did you install any mods? If so, which ones? Did you install the game from discs or did you download it?
  3. I can't remember it off the top of my head, but I know that there is a Facebook setting to block those requests and also the updates that get sent out ("So and so has unlocked the Giant Turnip in Farmville!") because I blocked it on my account. If you do a Google search, you can find out how to do it (that's what I did).
  4. I just found this '73 Pirates away uniform in the MVP2004 uniform downloads section: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=98 I remembered that MVP2004 uniforms can be installed in MVP2005. Other than the Roberto Clemente patch on the sleeve, the '71 and '73 uniforms look the same, at least from what I could see on the Baseball Hall of Fame "Dressed to the Nines" site: http://exhibits.baseballhalloffame.org/dressed_to_the_nines/uniforms.asp?league=NL&city=Pittsburgh&lowYear=1971&highYear=1973&sort=year&increment=9&=Display+uniforms
  5. Did you search the Downloads section? The Search function is your friend. Try using it! http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=3232 It doesn't look like 2012 Pirates uniforms have been created yet, but since 2012 uniforms for other teams are being created, it's just a matter of time.....
  6. You need to provide some more information before anyone will be able to help. For example, what are your computer specs (CPU speed, amount of RAM, graphics card etc.). Without knowing this information, it will be hard for anyone to come up with any ideas.
  7. That's exactly how I found out about the minimum height in the game! When I created the TC1946 mod, I wanted to put Gaedel on the Browns roster, but found that he could be no shorter than 5'3", so I gave up on that idea. :(
  8. Just so you are aware, I believe that the smallest height value you can assign to a player is 5 feet 3 inches, so all of your players will still look like adults.
  9. Search the forums. There have been plenty of discussions on this over the years. Pitching with the keyboard, especially without a num pad is going to be very difficult. Your best option is to get a controller (Xbox 360, Logitech, Saitek, etc.).
  10. Yes he was, and because of that, he's earned himself a 30-day vacation from this site. Let's see if he's learned his lesson once he's allowed back on.
  11. Yes, but be aware, that you do not use MVPEdit to export portraits. You need a tool like EAGraph or BigGUI. Also, you need to check the cyberface assigned to the player. Cyberfaces are in the datamodels.big file. If the player uses a cyberface not currently in the TC78 models.big file, you will need to export it from the 05 file and import it into the TC78 file.
  12. Portraits are stored in a separate file (datafrontendportrait.dat). Just because you imported the player into the roster files, doesn't mean that you imported his portrait or cyberface. You would have to do that separately.
  13. kjuggs - that overlay looks very nice. And this is coming from a Yankees fan! :)
  14. Please do not bump your thread to move them to the top. It is against forum rules.
  15. Yup, end of discussion.....
  16. If you were editing the default FEENG.LOC file that came with the game, you would have found "TRAX" in the file. If the file you edited had "EAMods" in it, then you must have been editing a file that was included with the MVP08 mod.
  17. First download the LocLook tool: http://www.mvpmods.c...s&showfile=2338 Next, do the following: 1. Extract the tool from the Zip file and run it. 2. Open the dataFEENG.LOC file. 3. Search for the word "TRAX". All the song titles, albums and artist names are below the word "TRAX" 4. Make your changes, save the file and your track names will be changed in the game.
  18. Using Windows Explorer, go to the folder that you want to copy the files to. Right click on the files you want to change and uncheck the Read Only option. As Y4L said, you should not be having these types of problems if you are following his procedure and my installation instructions step by step. I have no clue why the installer would fail. I've never had a problem with it. Are you running other programs in the background while trying to run the installer?
  19. What mod were you trying to install? If it is one of mine, you can simply copy the files to the proper folders without using the installer. The installation instructions tell you where to copy the files.
  20. If you want us to continue helping you, you will stop advertising that you use a crack.
  21. OK, that wasn't clear from your original post. Here's what you can do: 1. Download the nfshtool utility. 2. Right click on the .fsh file and select "Open With"-> "Choose Program" and then select nfshtool. If you are doing this with c075.fsh, nfshtool will create a c075 subfolder that contains two files -- index.fsh and 0000.bmp 3. Delete the 0000.bmp file and copy your .bmp file to the c075 subfolder. 4. Go into the c075 subfolder and rename your file to 0000.bmp 5. Right click on the index.fsh file, and open it with nfshtool. Nfshtool will now create a new c075.fsh file (in the folder above the c075 subfolder) and the .fsh file will contain your bitmap. 6. Import the new c075.fsh file into models.big with EAGraph
  22. He's talking about a cyberface, not a portrait. MVPEdit allows you to select a face, but it has to already be in the models.big file. It does not allow you to add a face to the models.big file. Here's how to add the face with EAGraph: 1. Start EAGraph and open your models.big file. It is in the game's data folder 2. From the top menubar, select Tools->Import Wizard 3. When the Import Wizard window appears, click on "Add Files to an external TAR archive" and then press the Next button 4.In the right side window, click the Add button 5. When the Open Source File window appears, select the face files you want to add (typically a .FSH, .ORL and .ORD file) 6. Click the OK button to close the window and then click the Next button in the Import Wizard window 7. The file(s) will be imported into the models.big file and when it is complete, you can click the Finish button Your models.big file will now contain your new face(s). Now you need to assign the face to the player. 1. Open up MVPEdit and open your roster. If you've never opened the roster before, click on the Import button from the main menubar and in the "Import DAT Files" popup window, select your game's datadatabase folder. 2. From the main menubar, select Tools->Options 3. Select the location of your game's Data folder and click on the "Show Player Faces" button. Click the OK button to close the popup window 4. Find the player you want to edit, click on the Appearance tab and change the face number to the face you just added to models.big 5. Click on the Export button on the main menubar and export the rosters to your game's datadatabase folder. Start up the game and your player should now have the face you just added.
  23. Did you install anything besides the new roster? Most likely, there's an issue with a missing cyberface. Most of the rosters released after 2008 have to be installed on top of the MVP08 mod. There were a lot of new faces added to that mod. Which rosters did you download and install? There should have been a Readme file with the rosters explaining what was needed in order for the rosters to work correctly.
