  1. If you were editing the default FEENG.LOC file that came with the game, you would have found "TRAX" in the file. If the file you edited had "EAMods" in it, then you must have been editing a file that was included with the MVP08 mod.
  2. First download the LocLook tool: http://www.mvpmods.c...s&showfile=2338 Next, do the following: 1. Extract the tool from the Zip file and run it. 2. Open the dataFEENG.LOC file. 3. Search for the word "TRAX". All the song titles, albums and artist names are below the word "TRAX" 4. Make your changes, save the file and your track names will be changed in the game.
  3. Using Windows Explorer, go to the folder that you want to copy the files to. Right click on the files you want to change and uncheck the Read Only option. As Y4L said, you should not be having these types of problems if you are following his procedure and my installation instructions step by step. I have no clue why the installer would fail. I've never had a problem with it. Are you running other programs in the background while trying to run the installer?
  4. What mod were you trying to install? If it is one of mine, you can simply copy the files to the proper folders without using the installer. The installation instructions tell you where to copy the files.
  5. If you want us to continue helping you, you will stop advertising that you use a crack.
  6. OK, that wasn't clear from your original post. Here's what you can do: 1. Download the nfshtool utility. 2. Right click on the .fsh file and select "Open With"-> "Choose Program" and then select nfshtool. If you are doing this with c075.fsh, nfshtool will create a c075 subfolder that contains two files -- index.fsh and 0000.bmp 3. Delete the 0000.bmp file and copy your .bmp file to the c075 subfolder. 4. Go into the c075 subfolder and rename your file to 0000.bmp 5. Right click on the index.fsh file, and open it with nfshtool. Nfshtool will now create a new c075.fsh file (in the folder above the c075 subfolder) and the .fsh file will contain your bitmap. 6. Import the new c075.fsh file into models.big with EAGraph
  7. He's talking about a cyberface, not a portrait. MVPEdit allows you to select a face, but it has to already be in the models.big file. It does not allow you to add a face to the models.big file. Here's how to add the face with EAGraph: 1. Start EAGraph and open your models.big file. It is in the game's data folder 2. From the top menubar, select Tools->Import Wizard 3. When the Import Wizard window appears, click on "Add Files to an external TAR archive" and then press the Next button 4.In the right side window, click the Add button 5. When the Open Source File window appears, select the face files you want to add (typically a .FSH, .ORL and .ORD file) 6. Click the OK button to close the window and then click the Next button in the Import Wizard window 7. The file(s) will be imported into the models.big file and when it is complete, you can click the Finish button Your models.big file will now contain your new face(s). Now you need to assign the face to the player. 1. Open up MVPEdit and open your roster. If you've never opened the roster before, click on the Import button from the main menubar and in the "Import DAT Files" popup window, select your game's datadatabase folder. 2. From the main menubar, select Tools->Options 3. Select the location of your game's Data folder and click on the "Show Player Faces" button. Click the OK button to close the popup window 4. Find the player you want to edit, click on the Appearance tab and change the face number to the face you just added to models.big 5. Click on the Export button on the main menubar and export the rosters to your game's datadatabase folder. Start up the game and your player should now have the face you just added.
  8. Did you install anything besides the new roster? Most likely, there's an issue with a missing cyberface. Most of the rosters released after 2008 have to be installed on top of the MVP08 mod. There were a lot of new faces added to that mod. Which rosters did you download and install? There should have been a Readme file with the rosters explaining what was needed in order for the rosters to work correctly.
  9. You can definitely have different roster and dynasty saves. Just give them different names. When you start up the game, you can load whatever dynasty or roster you want. I don't use owner mode, but I expect that it would be the same. When using any single season mod, you need to remember that they are created for just a single season, and the majority of them did not modify any of the minor league teams. Because of this, you will want to turn off injuries, suspensions and computer initiated trades. Otherwise, you might find that your rosters will get unintentionally changed during the season.
  10. If you followed Y4L's instructions, you should have two installations of the game on your PC -- the original game and the modded game. You would just go the folder that has the original files (typically C:Program FilesMVP Baseball 2005 and double click on mvp2005.exe. When you installed the mod, did you first make a copy of your original game install (i.e. copy all of the files and subfolders to a new folder structure) and THEN install the mod or did you just install the game from disc and then install the mod on top of it?
  11. The file is a .RAR archive file. Go to the Internet and Google for an application called WinRAR. It is a tool that allows you to open .RAR files. Install WinRAR on your computer, open the 1978 .RAR file, extract the Installation instructions and read them. When I wrote the instructions, I made sure to add plenty of details (and pictures!) so that it would be clear how to install the 1978 mod. Follow the instructions and you should be able to install the mod with no problems.
  12. It sounds like you've never installed the game before. It's very simple -- Just install the game from the disks and when the installation is done, you will have a clean (unmodded) installation.
  13. It is in the datadatabase eam.dat roster file. It's a plain text file, so you can just edit it with a text editor like Notepad. Simply changing the team ID won't be enough. You would have to change the team name in the dataIGEENG.LOC and dataFEENG.LOC files. This is the text that shows up in the game. You will probably have to move the team name audios and you would definitely have to move the home stadiums and stadium name audio and then edit the stadium names in the .LOC files as well. You might also have an issue with the uniform preview screens, which would mean editing the datafrontenduniforms.big file. What you are looking to do is doable, but it will take a LOT of work to get all the associated pieces in the proper place. Personally, I don't think the final product is worth all this work, but you have to make that decision for yourself.
  14. You could have asked your question a lot more tactfully without using the word "crap". As you can tell, we are pretty protective of the work of modders around here. If not for their work, this site and the game itself, would have died years ago. Disrespecting the work of others on this site is not going to gain you any friends or give current members any incentive to help you. What it DOES get you is this warning: If you continue to bad mouth the work of others, you will be suspended or possibly banned from this site.
  15. There is so little discussion about the non-PC platforms that it is not worth creating separate forums and download areas for them. You can post your rosters to the PC area. Just indicate in the title that they are XBox rosters.
  16. As Kyle said, change the file extension from .TIT to .7z. That will definitely fix the problem for you.
  17. It's a mobile phone app for accessing forums: http://androidforums.com/htc-hero-sprint/52120-what-tapatalk.html
  18. I'm not exactly sure, but I believe that the game scales images to some sort of internal dimensions. I've never had images cropped, but I have had smaller images expanded, so that's why I believe scaling is involved.
  19. Baseball-Reference.com added a new section yesterday with comprehensive Negro League stats from 1903 - 1948. Here is a link to the site: http://www.baseball-reference.com/nlb/ The Baseball Hall of Fame had a press release on their website about this: http://baseballhall....ll-referencecom Here's an excerpt from the press release: I imagine that DennisJames and redeck could have used this information when they were developing their Negro League mods!
  20. Here's what I use in my mods: Menu screen images (in bkgnds.big): 512 x 512 pixels CTS screen (58bd.fsh in bkgnds.big): 1024 x 512 pixels Loading screen images (in load0.big - load58.big and load99.big): 1024 x 512 pixels Splash screen image (in splash.big): 1024 x 1024 pixels License screen image (in sushared.big) - 1024 x 512 pixels Stadium select screen images (in stadiums.big) - 1024 x 256 pixels Items in mainart.fsh inside feonly.big: bask - 512 x 256 pixels cvrb - 128 x 128 pixels tci0 - 128 x 128 pixels tci1 - 8 x 8 pixels tp03 - 128 x 128 pixels wbal - 128 x 128 pixels
  21. It would be impossible. You would have to create 30 distinct sets of player name audios, stadium name audios, team name audios, play by play audios, etc.

  23. I don't know if you are aware or not, but there is an extremely simply way to get the attrib.dat file into Excel. Simply make a copy of attrib.dat and rename it to attrib.csv (comma separated values). You can then immediately open the attrib.csv file in Excel. Hide or delete the columns you don't care about and you can then quickly sort the file by portait or face ID to get sorted lists.
