  1. That's good to hear, because there are some new things being worked on right now that are going to eat up some of that disk space of yours (as well as space on that nice big hard drive that Y4L got recently). That's all I'm going to say for now.......

    1998 Mlb Mod

If you look at the Total Classics 9 mod, you will probably find a fair number of faces that you will be able to use. The following teams are included which probably have material you can use: 1997 Mariners 1997 Marlins 1998 Padres 1998 Yankees 1999 Indians 2000 Mets 2001 Diamondbacks We included an MVPEdit .mbe file with Total Classics, so if you open it up and look at these teams, you can find the cyberfaces assigned to the players. You can then extract those faces from the Total Classics 9 models.big file and import them to your models.big file. I would also suggest that you download Homer's Classic Face Pack 10.0 -- http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?autocom=d...p;showfile=3742 There are probably faces in there that you can use as well.

    1998 Mlb Mod

I know that we included most, if not all, of your faces in Total Classics. As you said, the roster was created based upon playing time, and that is the main "rule" I've used when creating rosters for the Total Classic single season mods. I'll have to see what we have for a uniform assigned to the '98 Yankees currently, because I really do like your World Series uniform. The picture of your mod probably got lost when Trues modified the website format and moved to new forum and download tools.

    1998 Mlb Mod

My guess is that Homer misread your post and thought that you wanted a 1988 mod (which already exists) and not a 1998 mod.
  5. You have to ask the guys at EAMods about this. That's where the MVP08 mod was released.
  6. Go back and read the earlier posts on this thread carefully. Stecropper, one of the creators of the *61 mod, stated that they put the names on the backs of the Yankee jerseys as a way to identify the players for those on this site who are too young to remember any of them. He then says that the names will be removed in a future update of the *61 mod.
  7. There have been some issues with some of the Classics downloads lately. The file is definitely there. It's probably just an issue with the link. I'll let Trues know about this.
  8. Sean - Your latest Yankee Stadium (Dec. 2008) is included in the TC1956 update. TC1951 actually includes a version from January 2009, since Paul sent me a newer version with a few slight tweaks for 1951. I didn't include your newer Shibe Park, because you listed it as "1970 Shibe Park" and I did see some ads (e.g. Datsun) that would not have appeared in the 1950's. The newer Yankee Stadium is only available in TC1951 and TC1956 because Don never released updated versions of TC1961 and TC1967. That's why the older Yankee Stadium shows up in the screenshots for TC1961.
  9. Don - I forgot that I broke new ground when I aligned the stadiums in the TC78 mod.
  10. PaulW and Sean O released the 1967 Fenway AFTER stecropper released the TC1967 mod. That's why it's a separate download.

This mod contains eight different combo datafiles. Four of the datafiles use the normal (i.e. bigger) pitch meter and four of them use a smaller pitch meter to make pitching more challenging and to help produce more walks. There are two main folders: - Normal pitch meter - Small pitch meter Under each of these folders, there are four additional subfolders: - Default - Walkup Music On - Foul Ball Replays On - Walkup Music and Foul Ball Replays On All of the datafiles under the "Small pitch meter" folder contain the following: - Spitoon's walk fix (which reduces the size of the "sweet spot" in the pitching meter) - SeralMike's Walk and Strikeout Fix to provide the proper balance of walks and strikeouts. SerialMike recommends setting the User Pitch Meter Difficulty Slider to 0. If you find the pitching too easy, you can make the slider more negative. If you find the pitching too difficult, you can make the slider more positive. Besides the pitch meter modifications, the datafiles in the subfolders are as follows: 1. Default datafile The Default datafile contains the following modifications: - Trues' batting camera #4 - Trues' change to remove batter walkup music - Pared's Behind the Pitcher camera #6 - Trues' changes to remove foul ball replays - Spitoon's changes to move the outfielders back - abhall's HH low batting view camera #5 - Spitoon's changes to move the infielders in 2. Walkup Music On datafile The Walkup Music On datafile is the same as the Default version above except that it turns on Batter Walkup Music 3. Foulball Replays On datafile The Foulball Replay On datafile is the same as the Default version above except that it turns on Foulball Replays 4. MVPedit...

I'm sure that very few people are aware of this, but if you look in your MVPEdit folder (i.e. the folder where you installed MVPEdit), you will find a file called readme.html. This ReadMe file is the MVPEdit "instruction manual" and it contains information about how MVPEdit works, how to use it, etc. Of course, like most instruction manuals, it's mostly ignored by people..... Look through this file, as well as Mark's FAQ file and I'm sure you'll find the answers to your MVPEdit questions.

On August 11, 1951, the New York Giants were 13 games behind the Brooklyn Dodgers in the National League. For all intent and purposes, the National League race was over. Someone forgot to tell that to the Giants, however. On August 12, the Giants kicked off a 16-game winning streak. Led by 20-year old Rookie of the Year Willie Mays and Sal Maglie (2.93 ERA and a league-leading 23 wins), New York won 39 of its last 47 (including the final seven) to pull into a first-place tie with the Dodgers. A split of the first two playoff contests set up a dramatic deciding game at the Polo Grounds on October 3. The Dodgers took a 4-1 lead into the bottom of the ninth. With Don Newcombe cruising along, three outs did not seem to be a tall order. Al Dark and Don Mueller then opened the inning with singles. After the heavy-hitting Monte Irvin popped out, Whitey Lockman ripped a double to left, scoring Dark and sending Mueller to third and Newcombe to the showers. Owning a 4-2 lead with the tying run in scoring position, Dodger skipper Chuck Dressen called for the right-hander Ralph Branca. Bobby Thomson stepped up to bat and on the second pitch, lined a game-winning, three-run homer to left - the "Shot Heard 'Round the World" -- giving the Giants the pennant and forever linking himself with Branca as baseball's classic hero-and-goat duo. ------------------------------------------- The Total Classics 1951 mod brings you the sights and sounds of the 1951 baseball season. 20. I used Don's "How-To" on roster building when I created the rosters for both the 1956 and 1978 season mods and the simulations I ran afterwards produced results that were very close to those achieved during the actual 1956 and 1978 seasons. Don is constantly tinkering and tweaking his formulas to try go get the most realistic results possible.

Once again, the eyes of the baseball world were on the bright lights of New York City (for the fourth time in five years) as the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Yankees met on familiar ground for the coveted World Series championship. The "Bronx Bombers" had bested "the Bums" in three out of the four meetings, but it was the Dodgers who had the last laugh by winning their first title off a dominant Game 7 in '55. The 1956 World Series would be the last one for Brooklyn (and last Subway Series for 44 years) and it promised to be a clash of the titans, with American League Triple Crown winner Mickey Mantle facing off against 27-game winner (and inaugural Cy Young Award winner) Don Newcombe. The Yankees won the Series in seven games, 4 games to Brooklyn's 3, capturing their 17th championship. Brooklyn won games one and two, but New York pitchers threw five consecutive complete games (Games 3-7) to cap off the comeback. The highlight was Don Larsen's perfect game in Game 5, the only no-hitter in the history of major league post-season play. ------------------------------------------- The Total Classics 1956 mod brings you the sights and sounds of the 1956 baseball season. The 1978 season featured a constant battle for first place in the AL East between the Red Sox and Yankees. On July 19, 1978, the Yankees were in 4th place, 14 games behind the Red Sox. On October 1, 1978, the final day of the regular season, the Red Sox won and the Yankees lost, making them tied for first place with identical 99-63 records. On October 2, 1978, the two clubs met in a one game playoff. Cy Young Award winner Ron Guidry notched his 25th victory of the season and Bucky Dent secured his place in Yankees history by hitting a 3-run home run over the Green Monster. The 5-4 game is considered by many as one of the most exciting games in Major League history. ------------------------------------------- The Total Classics 1978 mod brings you the sights and sounds of the 1978 baseball season.
