  1. It's probably in Program Files EA Sports MVP Baseball 2005. You can't uninstall just the Total Classics pieces. You'd need to delete the entire installation. Rather than worry about where it's installed, simply uninstall it from the Windows Control Panel. Open up the Control Panel, select Add/Remove Programs, find MVP Baseball 2005 and click Uninstall. As for installing MVP12, you will need to reinstall the game with your discs (after you've uninstalled using the steps above) and THEN run the MVP12 installer.
  2. As a Yankees fan living in the heart of Red Sox Nation, that doesn't work too well for me, ESPECIALLY during Red Sox / Yankees series..... :)
  3. The stadium preview screen will also be incorrect if you are just renaming stadium files.
  4. Any chance that the download could have gotten corrupted? Have you tried re-downloading the patch file and reinstalling again?
  5. At this point, my only suggestion would be to make another MVP12 folder, copy a clean installation of the game to it, reinstall MVP12 and then try reinstalling the patch again. A momentary, unreproducible glitch may have occurred while you were installing the patch (sunspot activity, iced tea induced amnesia, etc.). I know I've had things like that happen before and starting over sometimes helps.
  6. This is a known issue. There's a problem with the way that the Tampa Bay audio was modified to change "Devil Rays" to "Rays".
  7. I was able to install it and run the game with no problem. Y4L - What OS are you running -- Windows XP? Windows 7? I'm running XP on my desktop PC and my laptop. Did you install the game with actual disks or did you download the game from the Internet? Sorry, I just HAD to ask..... ;)
  8. Yup, I can see the images here at home. They look great.
  9. I had thought of that option, however, you would still have the two or three clicks vs. something like the old Triple Play series where you pressed one mouse button to throw ball and another to throw a strike or High Heat (I think), where you would specify the zone where you wanted the pitch to go with your left thumb and then pressed a button with your right thumb to throw the pitch.
  10. I'll check at home later. Maybe I can't see them because I'm accessing the page from work. Our network may be configured to block images.
  11. None of your images are showing up.
  12. It can't be done. The pitching meter mechanism is built into the game.
  13. I hope you don't think I was complaining. I wholeheartedly agree with what you are saying about team audio modding. I tried making a modification one time and had the same issue - only one audio would appear in the game. That was my first and last attempt at that type of modding! :)
  14. I believe there is an issue with the Rays audio in general. If the Rays is the away team, you will not hear them announced at the beginning of the game. For example, if they are playing the Yankees at Yankee Stadium, you will hear, "Today's game features <slight pause> and the New York Yankees.". If they are the home team and they are playing the Yankees, you will hear, "Today's game features the New York Yankees and the Tampa Bay Rays." I'm guessing that the modification to change the Tampa Bay audio from "Devil Rays" to "Rays" wasn't done quite right, since there are instances when you do not hear the team name.
  15. You're welcome to try anything you want. It's really a matter of whether you can get anyone else to jump on board to help.

    Mvp12 Issue

Are the roster files in your clean install set as read-only?
  17. Thanks. I was actually able to fix the problem using Trues's pitch meter positioning fix for the 07 mod: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=3820 It moves the pitch meter from the upper left (where the on-base graphic is) to the middle of the screen.
  18. I copied the datafile.txt I have always used into the MVP12 data folder and was able to get the camera angles and other settings I've always had. I now have an issue with the men on base graphic covering the pitch meter at times, so I'm working on a way to solve that problem.
  19. Are you talking about datafile.big or datafile.txt? If it is datafile.txt, where are you putting it? The .txt file should go in your data folder and not the datadatafile folder.
  20. Does the file you are trying to install have a .TIT extension? If so, try changing the extension to .7z. That may help with the issue you are having.
  21. Actually, there is an easy way to have the same overlay in all stadiums, including those in the classic slots. EA included two sets of overlay files in the datafrontend folder. Each set is made up of two files. The "regular" stadium overlay files are named igonly.big and ingame.big. The classic stadium overlay files are named coopov.big and cooplay.big. The "coop" in the classic overlay files refers to Cooperstown. If you want the same overlay in all stadiums, copy igonly.big to coopov.big and ingame.big to cooplay.big. That's the way we do it in the Total Classics mods and we've never had any problems. As for having modern stadiums in the classic slots, that is also fairly easy to get around. Here's an example of what you would do to if you wanted to put Yankee Stadium in the Shibe Park slot: First, copy Yankee Stadium (yankday.big or yanknite.big) to Shibe Park (shibday.big) in your datastadiums folder. Next, you need to update the camera file associated with Shibe Park: Open the datadatafiledatafile.big file with EAGraph Extract the Yankee Stadium camera file yankday.txt or yanknite.txt (they are both the same) Rename the camera file to shibday.txt (which is the name of the Shibe Park camera file) You now have two options: Either reimport the "new" shibday.txt file back into the datafile.big file or simply copy the shibday.txt file to your data folder. The game overrides any files in the datafile.big file if it finds similarly named files in the data folder. Copying to the data folder is an easy way to test new datafiles quickly. If you don't like the way it looks, simply remove the file from the data folder and you will revert back to the default behavior in the datafile.big file. If you wanted to be thorough, you would also need to replace the Shibe Park stadium select screen with the Yankee Stadium stadium select screen by editing the datafrontendstadiums.big file. For this example we won't do that, so I won't go into the steps involved. Suffice it to say, that this is trivial work as well.
  22. I spend so much time developing and testing mods on my laptop with onboard graphics that I forget how good the game looks on a PC with a real graphics card. I installed MVP12 on the PC I use to play, fired up the game and was amazed at how great it looks.
  23. Since the MVP12 mod has been released, the question of whether a 2012 Total Mod can be made has been answered. I am therefore closing this thread. To continue discussing the mod, please create a new thread.
  24. File Name: Total Classics 1962 File Submitter: stecropper File Submitted: 10 Jul 2012 File Category: Total Conversion Mods Version: 1.0 After much struggle with the city fathers of Los Angeles, Walter O'Malley finally opened his baseball emporium, Dodger Stadium, for the start of the 1962 season.  O'Malley's highly regarded team drew a record 2,755,184 fans into the park, while pacing the National League all summer behind the star performances of Maury Wills, Tommy Davis and Don Drysdale.  Of the trio, Wills proved the most exciting while en route to the league's MVP Award by committing the grandest theft act ever witnessed on major league turf --- 104 steals --- to break the 1915 mark of the legendary Ty Cobb.  Davis, by hitting .346 and knocking in 153 runs, captured two of the major batting categories while Drysdale won the coveted Cy Young Award on the strength of his 25 victories. But all the individual glory could not make up for an unfortunate incident which took place on July 17, when ace southpaw Sandy Koufax was lost for the season with a circulatory ailment in his fingers.  In the final 13 contests, the Dodgers could only win three, while the San Francisco Giants won seven to tie Los Angeles on the final day of the season.  The Giants stayed in contention all year with an attack centered on home run leader Willie Mays, and the slugging of Orlando Cepeda and Felipe Alou.  Jack Sanford won 16 games in a row ending up with 24 victories for the season combined with Billy O'Dell's 19, Juan Marichal's 18 and Billy Pierce's 16 gave the Giants a very formidable staff that would lead them over the Dodgers in the Best of 3 playoff series. In the American League, the fanfare took place before the final curtain.  Cleveland, leading until the All-Star break, lost 19 of their next 24 games to drop into second division.  While the Indians were faltering, the Los Angeles Angels and Minnesota Twins, the league's newest entries, were charging into contention.  Although the joint efforts were commendable, both fell short.  The Twins finished second on the strength of a strong batting attack, and the Angels third on the arms of their two colorful rookies, Dean Chance and Bo Belinsky.  As usual, the Yankees were on top when the season closed even in an off year for the Bronx Bombers. ------------------------------------------- We hope this recreation of the 1962 Season brings enjoyment to both the seasoned veterans as well as the much younger Total Classics enthusiast that would like to trip back to see, hear & feel what it was all like in 1962. This project is a mere continuation of Total Classics.  Much credit needs to be extended to the "Entire" Total Classics Team for creating such an interest in Oldtime Classic Baseball.  Much "Thanks" & "Appreciation" to the so many MVPModders that have contributed so much to the overall Total Classics experience and continue to do so today.  This includes those Cyberface modders; Stadium modders; Uniform modders; Roster modders; Audio modders; Bats Balls & ALL !!!  To Everyone "Thanks So Much for the Joy you have brought to so Many of Us!" ------------------------------------------- *** TIDBITS *** A ) This mod was built for the complete replay of the 1962 Major League Baseball Season. Thus, the use of Dynasty Mode for a single season is recommended. Although other Major League teams are represented in this mod they have not been fully tested but likely are OK to use in Exhibition Play. B ) It is "HIGHLY RECOMMENDED" that you -TURN OFF - Trades, Call Ups & Injuries to maintain the opening day 25 man rosters intact throughout the season. C ) It is recommended that you install TC62 over a clean install of MVP Baseball 2005 with at least up to Patch #2. D ) It will be necessary for you to install a Profile that UnLocks all Classic Uniforms.  Robert Glass's unlock profile is provided in the "Extras" directory. E) In the directory where you install TC1962 you will find a subdirectory named Extras.  This directory includes: 1) The most up todate MVPEdit .mbe file for TC62. 2) A file named Sliders.doc which are the slider setting used to validate the realism & accuracy of this mod during CPU vs CPU style games. You may choose to try these out. 3) A file named Glass_Profile.sav which is a profile to unlock everything. This file should be placed in your My Documents MVP Baseball 2005directory if you care to use it. 4) A copy of the TC62 Readme file. -------------------------------------------   *** VERSION HISTORY ***   v1.0   Initial release Click here to download this file
