  1. It sounds like you've never installed the game before. It's very simple -- Just install the game from the disks and when the installation is done, you will have a clean (unmodded) installation.
  2. It is in the datadatabase eam.dat roster file. It's a plain text file, so you can just edit it with a text editor like Notepad. Simply changing the team ID won't be enough. You would have to change the team name in the dataIGEENG.LOC and dataFEENG.LOC files. This is the text that shows up in the game. You will probably have to move the team name audios and you would definitely have to move the home stadiums and stadium name audio and then edit the stadium names in the .LOC files as well. You might also have an issue with the uniform preview screens, which would mean editing the datafrontenduniforms.big file. What you are looking to do is doable, but it will take a LOT of work to get all the associated pieces in the proper place. Personally, I don't think the final product is worth all this work, but you have to make that decision for yourself.
  3. You could have asked your question a lot more tactfully without using the word "crap". As you can tell, we are pretty protective of the work of modders around here. If not for their work, this site and the game itself, would have died years ago. Disrespecting the work of others on this site is not going to gain you any friends or give current members any incentive to help you. What it DOES get you is this warning: If you continue to bad mouth the work of others, you will be suspended or possibly banned from this site.
  4. There is so little discussion about the non-PC platforms that it is not worth creating separate forums and download areas for them. You can post your rosters to the PC area. Just indicate in the title that they are XBox rosters.
  5. As Kyle said, change the file extension from .TIT to .7z. That will definitely fix the problem for you.
  6. Brand new is going to be hard to find. Ebay has a number of "Like New" copies.
  7. It's a mobile phone app for accessing forums: http://androidforums.com/htc-hero-sprint/52120-what-tapatalk.html
  8. I'm not exactly sure, but I believe that the game scales images to some sort of internal dimensions. I've never had images cropped, but I have had smaller images expanded, so that's why I believe scaling is involved.
  9. Baseball-Reference.com added a new section yesterday with comprehensive Negro League stats from 1903 - 1948. Here is a link to the site: http://www.baseball-reference.com/nlb/ The Baseball Hall of Fame had a press release on their website about this: http://baseballhall....ll-referencecom Here's an excerpt from the press release: I imagine that DennisJames and redeck could have used this information when they were developing their Negro League mods!
  10. Here's what I use in my mods: Menu screen images (in bkgnds.big): 512 x 512 pixels CTS screen (58bd.fsh in bkgnds.big): 1024 x 512 pixels Loading screen images (in load0.big - load58.big and load99.big): 1024 x 512 pixels Splash screen image (in splash.big): 1024 x 1024 pixels License screen image (in sushared.big) - 1024 x 512 pixels Stadium select screen images (in stadiums.big) - 1024 x 256 pixels Items in mainart.fsh inside feonly.big: bask - 512 x 256 pixels cvrb - 128 x 128 pixels tci0 - 128 x 128 pixels tci1 - 8 x 8 pixels tp03 - 128 x 128 pixels wbal - 128 x 128 pixels
  11. It would be impossible. You would have to create 30 distinct sets of player name audios, stadium name audios, team name audios, play by play audios, etc.

  13. I don't know if you are aware or not, but there is an extremely simply way to get the attrib.dat file into Excel. Simply make a copy of attrib.dat and rename it to attrib.csv (comma separated values). You can then immediately open the attrib.csv file in Excel. Hide or delete the columns you don't care about and you can then quickly sort the file by portait or face ID to get sorted lists.

    Portrait.big

Even when compressed in ZIP or RAR format, that file is over 100 megabytes, so I doubt anyone is going to be willing to upload it. In addition, there is a 60 megabyte upload limit using the normal file upload tool, so the upload would fail.

  16. I think this is what you are looking for: http://www.mvpmods.c...ds&showfile=919 It's an MVP2004 file, but it might work. Here's what the readme says:
  17. Looks great. Thanks!
  18. You don't need a password. Open the Total Installer Thingy and when it asks you for the file to install, type in 08_WS_release.7z. It will then install the 08 mod for you.
  19. Total Installer Thingy was added over the weekend. Did you look in the MVP2005 mods (left column) on the front page?
  20. You don't have to extract anything from the .7z files. When you run TiT, it asks you to select the file you want to install. Simply select the .7z file itself, and TiT will do the rest. It will take care of extracting the files, running them, prompting you to insert the proper MVP 2005 CDs, etc.
  21. Did you follow the instructions on the download page and install Total Installer Thingy first? If you start the Total Installer Thingy, and THEN select the 08 mod, it will not ask you for a password. If you try to install the 08 mod outside of the Total Installer Thingy, it WILL ask for a password. Follow the instructions and it should work fine. I tested it out before posting the mod today and it worked fine for me when I followed the proper sequence.
  22. The 06 mod is already here. Here's the link: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=2844
  23. Don - This is another file that I uploaded after getting permission from Kraw. I just listed him as the submitter since he created the mod.
  24. As you've probably noticed, over the last 24 hours, a number of files that had been hosted at EAMods / MLBMods have started to show up here. These include the Installer Thingy, Total Installer Thingy, MVP 08 mod, MVP 1994 mod, Homer's faces, Homer's tutorials, etc. Kraw contacted some of us this past week and said that for personal reason, MLBMods has been shut down permanently. I will not go into the reasons and please do not contact him asking about MLBMods coming back. Just accept the fact that it is gone and appreciate everything that he has done over the years. Luckily for us, Kraw gave us permission to upload the mods that he created. Homer and I have uploaded them, and where appropriate, I have listed Kraw as the submitter to make sure that he gets credit as the mod creator. Homer has also been kind enough to upload his mods that were also hosted at MLBMods. Homer noticed that Hory's MVP 1994 mod was not here, so I uploaded the latest version that I had and again, gave Hory credit for creating the mod. While we have not heard from Hory in quite a while, I made the decision to upload MVP 1994 since it had been hosted on MLBMods. If Hory does show up and asks for it to be taken down, I will abide by his wishes, but for now, I think MVP 1994 should be here since it is so good.
  25. Don - This is the v2.0 patch version of MVP1994 that was on EAMods. I uploaded it, not Hory. I just edited the listing to give him credit as being the creator of the mod. Unfortunately, I haven't heard from Hory in quite a while. I did hear from Kraw the other day and he said that EAMods / MLBMods is permanently shut down, but he gave us permission to upload his mods. That's why you've seen the Installer Thingy, Total Installer Thingy and MVP 08 show up over the last 24 hours. Homer suggested that it would be good to have MVP1994 here as well, so I uploaded the last version I had. If Hory shows up and asks us to remove it, I will, but I don't expect that to happen.
