Gradients. A combination of numerous silver, white, and black gradients. I just fooled around with a bunch of those until I got the desired effect.

New sig. No text, cause I haven't found anything worth ruining this with.

to make things simple. PSD is the best, but cannot be hosted. It is the original file. It contains all the layers. PNG is the best that can be hosted, it is a copy of the original all into one layer. JPG is the middle class of images that can be hosted using html. It is a lower quality (compressed) version of the original. No layers. GIF is the worst quality, but most adaptable one. GIF's can be hosted with HTML. There are only 256 colours allowed, and compression is very high. Only one layer. HOWEVER, GIF's support transparency and animation.

probably your best, quit with the font, lower the lighting.

a feather is basically a way to make a selection more rounded.

using the lasso tool with a big feather. select random areas around the main render, then fill it with different brushes, then set it to color dodge.

the thing on the right is a fractal image, cut up into bits. its supposed to bring attention to that side of the sig, but I think I over did it on the right, without balancing on the left. oh well, thanks for the comments.
