Just Installed Mvp Baseball 2005 - Extremely Fast Animations
metalboy15 replied to metalboy15's topic in Support
I did try VSyncing the game, but the fast forwarding doesn't seem to be at all gone. Thanks for replying mate!. EDIT: I do have Patch #2 installed. -
So It's been a LONG time (6, 7 years?) since I've last installed/played this game, so today I decided to install it after seeing MVP 14 went live last month. But after playing a couple of innings, the animations seem WAY TOO FAST, defensive players run extremely fast, like a fast forwarded movie. Even when editing players this happens, so what's going on? Thanks.

Thanks for help mate, much appreciated. I did have to modify the command though, you actually have to type the exact directory the .ocx file is located at, I had to type: "regsvr32 C:WindowsSysWow64MSCOMCTL.OCX" Worked perfectly after that (I did have to repeat that process for another .ocx file). Let the roster modding begin!

Yeah but IIRC that made the fastball look INSANELY weird, very unnatural. Maybe that's changed since then? I don't know. MVPEdit refuses to run on Windows 8 :(
-
Have been out of the game for about 6 or maybe 7 years now, couple of weeks ago I got the itch to install MVP05 again, the thing is, I honestly can't play this game without a roster set of my own (very nitpicky about everything), so I just downloaded MVPEdit, installed just fine, but it won't execute, Windows 8 gives me this message: Already tried running it in Windows XP SP2 Compatibility mode. Any thoughts?

Finding a solution to this would make me install MVP05 again, this was one of my big gripes from back in the day (haven't posted in what? ~6 years?, but shhh don't tell anyone). Guys like Roy Halladay, Mariano Rivera, Hiroki Kuroda, etc, all have natural movement on their fastballs, so it's impossible for them to throw a ball straight. If someone knows the answer to this, I would be all over it, maybe release a Roster set of my own (I had one before the whole MVPMODS.com makeover, that did considerable well)...

Everytime I try to edit Jamie Wright TEX my game crashes :(

Nice Job on the rosters, pure genius  (loved how you created Dellin!), but looking through some of the NYY minor leagues affiliates I´ve noticed a few minor inconsistencies, to help you solve this I will post the official 20-something man rosters for each of the NYY minor league affiliates: Tampa: Pitchers: Erick Abreu, Wilkins Arias, Joba Chamberlain, Anthony Claggett, Phil Coke, Ian Kennedy, George Kontos, Zach Kroenke, Mike Martinez, Elvys Quezada, Josh Schmidt, Julio Valdez, Bryan Villalona, and Eric Wordekemper. Catchers: Francisco Cervelli, Jared Greenwood, Joe Muich Infielders: Reegie Corona, Mario Holmann, Juan Miranda, Tim O'Brien, Kevin Russo, and Marcos Vechionacci. Outfielders: Tim Battle, James Cooper, Colin Curtis, Edwar Gonzalez, and Jose Tabata. Of all these guys, the ones you should definitely add (that are missing from the roster) are: Francisco Cervelli (Probably our best C prospect right now), Anthony Claggett (probably one of the best RP prospect out there) and George Kontos... If you can squeeze one more you should add Erick Abreu. BTW Corona has moved back to SS: http://yankees.scout.com/2/632265.html Trenton: PITCHERS Starters: Chase Wright (LHP), Alan Horne (RHP), Jeff Marquez (RHP), Jason Jones (RHP) and Brett Smith (RHP). Relievers: Kevin Whelan (RHP), Jeff Kennard (RHP), Paul Thorp (RHP), Scott Patterson (RHP), Gerardo Casadiego (RHP) and Michael Gardner (RHP) On the bubble: Charlie Manning (LHP) INFIELDERS Cody Ehlers (1B), Gabe Lopez (2B), Ramiro Pena (SS), Aarom Baldiris (3B/2B), Carlos Mendoza (2B/SS/3B). On the bubble: Kevin Howard (3B/2B) OUTFIELDERS Brett Gardner, Justin Christian, Matt Carson, Shawn Garrett CATCHERS P.J. Pilittere and Jason Brown Nothing to mention here, you pretty much nail it  . Scranton: PITCHERS Beam, T.J. Bean, Colter Britton, Chris Burke, Erick Clippard, Tyler DeSalvo, Matt Hughes, Phil Jackson, Steven Kozlowski, Ben Manning, Charlie Ohlendorf, Ross Pope, Justin CATCHERS Chavez, Raul Santos, Omir INFIELDERS Basak, Chris Beattie, Andrew Chavez, Angel Duncan, Eric Gonzalez, Alberto Phillips, Andy OUTFIELDERS Duncan, Shelly Reese, Kevin Sardinha, Bronson Thompson, Kevin Again nothing here... oh also, here´s a list of the players cut by the Yankees so far: Released: RHP Keaton Everitt RHP Francisco Butto RHP Justin Keadle RHP Brady Salter RHP Wilton Lopez RHP Tyler Addison RHP Anderson Amador RHP James Conroy LHP Charlie Issacson RHP Jesus Mendez RHP Erik Morrison RHP David Seccombe RHP Steve Schroer LHP Domingo Cabrera LHP Toni Lara LHP Edgar Omana LHP Abel Gomez LHP Bryan Rueger LHP RJ Swindle C Joseph Burke C Ben Davis C Kevin Nelson C Todd Pratt C Brock Ungricht 1B Karl Amonite 1B Kyle Larsen 2B Jeff Beachum 2B Tony Roth SS J.T Stotts (finally... :headache: ) OF James LaSala OF Nicholas Diyorio OF Estee Harris OF Jonathan Poterson OF Angel Fermin OF Ben Himes Hope this helps!

Cardinals Rotation announced: #1 Chris Carpenter #2 Kip Wells #3 Branden Looper #4 Adam Wainwright #5 Anthony Reyes http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...7news&fext=.jsp EDIT: on another note, Zumaya´s off speed pitches should be: mid 80´s curveball and a 90 mph circle changeup: http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...7news&fext=.jsp
-
It´s a Circle Change: and he´s been throwing it for a couple of years now: Josh Beckett: Eric Gagne: Kenny Rogers:
-
they just released it, but just for the AL: http://www.rotoworld.com/content/features/...2&article=27932
-
no idea, might be, I´ll keep my eyes open.
-
no prob, anything the make the best roster out there even better!
-
Rotoworld just released their projected lineups for each team: AL: http://www.rotoworld.com/content/features/...articleid=27896 NL: http://www.rotoworld.com/content/features/...2&article=27900 Best list out there, over mlb.com, cbssportsline.com, etc.
-
I think he throws both...
-
as far as I know there are only 3 ways to throw a curveball: The Straight Curve (think Felix Hernandez, Shawn Chacon, Tom Gordon, etc): The Beginners Curve (Eric Gagne, Josh Beckett, Kenny Rogers, etc): and... The Knuckle Curve (Mike Mussina, Justin Verlander, Phil Hughes  , etc): he´s not throwing a beginners curve or a straight curve in that picture, so it must be a knuckle curve... look at the picture (the 1st one), look at the way his finger is tucked in, that my friends is a knuckle curve.
-
no need for an article, just look at the picture, look at the grip, it´s clearly a knuckle curve... here´s another one from a recent cbs sports article:
-
btw Daniel Cabrera throws a knuckle curve:
-
I can give you a scouting report on him if you like...
-
BA´s Top 100 is out: http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/prosp...res/263445.html
-
that happens to me as well ... but just with Kevin Millar... btw I guess I was right on the Ron Villone thing: :smokin:
-
hey kg one more thing, don´t know if this is caused by some of the mods (facepacks, etc) included in the 07 mod or your roster, but everytime I try to edit Kevin Millar BAL in-game, it freezes, and then I can´t do nothing but exit the game via the windows key. EDIT: some Yankees notes: - The starting rotation is being aligned in this way: #1 Chien-Ming Wang #2 Andy Pettitte #3 Mike Mussina #4 Carl Pavano #5 Kei Igawa - The bullpen seems to be inaccurate, it should be this way: LR: Jeff Karstens (Torre is very impressed by him so far, yesterday he pitched 2 perfect innings in a intrasquad game vs the everyday lineup  ) MR: Scott Proctor MR: Luis Vizcaino MR: Ron Villone (he´ll make the team, we didn´t lose a draft pick for nothing) MR: Mike Myers SU: Kyle Farnsworth CL: Mariano Rivera - The lineup is ok but it needs a few tweaks: vs RHP: Johnny Damon CF Derek Jeter SS Bobby Abreu RF Alex Rodriguez 3B Jason Giambi DH Hideki Matsui LF Jorge Posada C Robinson Canó 2B Doug Mientkiewicz 1B vs LHP: Johnny Damon CF Derek Jeter SS Bobby Abreu RF Alex Rodriguez 3B Jason Giambi DH Hideki Matsui LF Jorge Posada C Robinson Canó 2B Andy Phillips / Josh Phelps 1B (whoever makes the team) if you like I could do the same thing for each of the minor league affiliate of the Yanks, let me know...
-
one thing i´ve noticed about this roster is that a lot of guys wear wristbands on his non-glove hand but not on his glove hand (Grady Sizemore for example), now I for one have never seen a guy do this in real life, maybe you wanna look into this? btw nice update! best roster available hands down :)
-
some Yankees notes: - Eric Duncan isn´t a top 100 prospect anymore, Jose Tabata is with Tyler Clippard in there as well. - Derek Jeter and Hideki Matsui body seems a little "fat". - Andy Pettitte will wear #46, Kei Igawa #29. - Marcos Vechionacci skin tone is a little light, it should be darker (but not too much). MLB notes: - David Ortiz is wayyy too skinny. - Luis Castillo is wayyy too fat. that´s it, great roster overall, best out there no question about it...
