Here are faces, portraits and Kuiper/Krukow announcements for: - - Brandon Morrow - David Freese - Jeffrey Hammonds - Allen Craig - Skip Schumaker - Joe Carter - Whitey Ford - Jackie Jensen - - Installation instruction inside - backup your files, yo! - thank you homer!
  2. Thanks for the input, guys. Here's Joe Carter. I've been meaning to make him the past couple weeks but have opted on making others with high resolution photos. It's tough going from using really nice high resolution head shots and then using ones that are low resolution. Everything in moderation is the way to go all the time... Also, here are some changes to Jackie Jensen, who is the first player to play in the All-Star Game, World Series and Rose Bowl. He is also the 1958 American League MVP. He probably would be more famous if he didn't play the same position as Mickey Mantle while breaking in with Yankees. That and he had a fear of flying which ultimately ended his career. In addition, here's another member of the 1992/1993 Blue Jays whippin' it good, Devon White. He appears on numerous classic teams including 1986 California Angels, 1992/93 Toronto Blue Jays and 1997 Florida Marlins. Many will remember Devon's catch in the 1992 World Series which would have started a triple play but the umpire incorrectly called the the third out safe.
  3. Hey Jed, Happy Birthday! Have a great one! Thanks for all the time and effort you've been putting in the faces.
  4. Here's an update of Whitey Ford. I noticed there needed to be more space between his eye brows. quietear, thanks for the suggestion on Brandon Morrow. I noticed his eyes were too slanted too. But aside from moving an individual eye around, I have have not tried adjusting just part of the eye worrying that I could seriously mess them up. The mouth and eyes need utmost caution when modding them because they can be messed up to the point where a face becomes unusuable after many hours of modding if something is done incorrectly. I made some subtle changes to the inner corners and middle of the eye but didn't mess with the pupils themselves and it turned out fine. again, thanks quietear for not being so quiet about your suggestion. I was so ready to say, Morrow's eyes are already slanted a bit but that's taking the easy way out. I knew it was true they were too slanted and so did you. :)
  5. I think I sent you the Whitey I made before. I started all over. And this time, it turned out a whole lot better. I used a completely different photograph, too. I'm gonna start using Kraws install thingy after installing one of the updates. I didn't realize it was an 2008 update and not the 2005 one I already had. that was the issue. but I'm gonna hold off on using it until I need to.
  6. Does anybody know who this guy is?
  7. OMG, I didn't realize how bad Dunn played last year. I just looked at his stats and he pulled an Andruw Jones in 2008. Jones in 2008 75 G 209 AB .158 BA 3 HR 14 RBI 76 SO 27 BB $14.7 Million Dunn in 2011 122 G 415 AB .159 BA 11HR 42 RBI 177 SO 75 BB $12.0 Million Dunn had twice the ABs but had nearly 4X homeruns and 3X RBI. I'd say Dunn performed better than Jones in 2011 than Jones in 2008. But I feel for you. I understand the disappointment. Dunn is in the first year of a 4 year contract. I hope he performs better too next year. Jay looks great! Holliday looks mind blowingly awesome
  8. best wishes to Tony La Russa in retirement. Tony's been coaching longer than I've been alive, but by only a couple years.
  9. he looks great! I couldn't help but make him, too I like your work with his sideburns. the hardest thing about him are his eyes. What I did was move his eyes closer together. That's the only thing constructive I can offer. But well done, Jed.
  10. Congratulations to the Cardinals and Mr. David Freese. His performance in the playoffs and especially game 6 of the World Series are one for the ages. Here's to you, David!

Here are faces/portraits and Kuiper/Krukow Play-by-Play announcements for: -Jay Bell -Roberto Clemente -Gary Gaetti -Wilton Guerrero -Mike Napoli -Bill Ripken -Cal Ripken
  12. ok guys, I'm gonna upload these guys after the game tonight, If there are any suggestions for improvements, let me know now. Thanks for your input and patience
  13. I made a roberto Clemente before my extended hiatus at Mvpmods. I really liked it when I made it but I did very little oedit work. When I returned to modding, I noticed I really was dissatisfied with it. So I started the the head shape from scratch and did some editing to the texture. Please give me feedback on this since he is a classic player who I didn't watch growing up. Also, is his skin tone too dark? (Clemente.jpg is the most up to date version. I have not changed the profile angle)
  14. Napoli's performance has been inspiring. I'm not talking about just the playoffs. It all began with him getting traded away by the Angels in January (which ended his relationship with the team that started in 2000). For Anybody who's had individuals or organizations give up on them, it's crushing. However, Mike did what anybody with heart would do in his situation; He worked on improving himself. Even if Texas doesn't win the World Series, I've got to congratulate Mike Napoli on his perserverance.
  15. I used that photo I found on ebay. I am just not satisfied with area around his eyes. My older version looks more like him even though this photo has better details I really like the facial hair detail on Gamel! I made some changes to Cal:
  16. I made a new Cal Ripken but I admit it doesn't look quite right to me. What do you guys think?
  17. I just wanted to start a new thread to preview mods of players, jerseys and eventually stadiums. My old thread had a redundant title since I've been back. First of all, I would like to thank all modders past, present and future. It wouldn't do justice to name everybody who is responsible for my abilities in modding MVP Baseball 2005. But I must thank Trues for never giving up on this site. I feel very fortunate that MVPMods still exists today. So here's what I have at the moment:
  18. I love using all-time/fan favorite rosters. Does anybody remember the first time they played this game and unlocked a legend? I remember earning Babe Ruth and putting him on the Yankees or Jackie Robinson and putting him on the Dodgers. It was sweet! I never thought about making a specific mod for it because I integrate them in my exhibition rosters. What I really like doing is having my lineups set a certain way where depending on who's pitching against a given team, the lineup is either a classic team or an all-time roster. I switch it up for DH and non-DH lineups so it's easy to just select a southpaw or righty to get the lineup I want to face. It's tough making all-time/fan favorite rosters because everybody has different opinions on who should be on these rosters. I have Eric Davis and Darryl Strawberry on my dodgers team because they were part of the Dodgers when I started getting into baseball. So they are endeared to me being on the Dodgers. I think the best thing to do is maybe base who deserves to be on a team solely on statistical output. Perhaps using moneyball values. I dunno.

Here are cyberfaces, portraits, Kuiper/Krukow announcements for: - Corey Hart - Curtis Granderson - Evan Longoria - Yadier Molina - Justin Upton - Chase Utley - Justin Verlander - CJ Wilson - - Installation instructions in readme file - - Thanks goes to Homer!
  22. I really like how Granderson and Price look amazing. Kemp looks good too. I opted to not give Matt Kemp a stubble beard on my version because he didn't have one in his first pressbox head shot. I like using the older photos of players if they are available (except if it's a classic player). I used Kemp's 2006 portrait. I don't like doing hair (on top or on the face) so I admire your work on Brian Wilson. I honestly would like to make Brian Wilson with a photo without his beard. Great job, Jed!
  23. Welcome back KCCITYSTAR! I'm back, too. Although, I admit I wasn't really on the site initially for very long time wise. I was only active for about a year and half. Yeah, I went through the same thing. I reinstalled MVP 05 and then slowly added mods to them. Stadiums, too, were the first things I downloaded. I have Total Audio 0.51 if you need that. Good luck getting back in the flow.

Here are three images of all 66 batting stances in MVP Baseball 2005 in one convenient image also included are all 5 MVP Baseball 2003 stances that only appear in that version. The seven default MVP stances (Generic, Bent, Crouched, Upright, Open, High and Closed) are modeled with players who have had default rosters having these stances in the MVP series. All other batting stances have the player modeled wearing a uniform of teams worn through their respective careers. Two "wallpapers" are right handed or left handed only. The last image includes all stances in the player's correct hitting side. For example, Brian Jordan bats right handed (the first image) in real life. - - This is released in the hope that somebody making new rosters can reference theseimages without actually playing the game to actually see what the stances look like. The way I took the screenshot, the images are reversible for left and right handedbatters. - - Note: For the sake of completion, batting stances from MVP Baseball 2003 areincluded. These five stances were removed from subsequent versions of MVP Baseball. These stances are Mo Vaughn, Knoblauch, Matt Williams, Bonds and Shinjo. - Vaughn is most similar to "Bent" stanceKnoblauch is most similar to "Carew" stance - Williams is most similar to "Gonzalez" Stance - Bonds is most similar to "Beltre" stance - Shinjo is almost identical to "Ray Durham" stance - - The order of stances is as it appears in the latest version of MVPEdit for images,StancesL.jpg and StancesCor.jpg - (That is top to bottom/left to right: Generic to Classic 1) Row 5 (top row; Left to Right): Generic to Boone - Row 4 (2nd from top; left to right): Burnitz to Giambi - Row 3 (middle row;left to right): Giles to Lofton - Row 2 (2nd from bottom; left to right): Martinez to Sierra - Row 1 (bottom row; left to right): Sosa to Classic 1; and - Row 1 continued; last 5 stances: Vaughn to Shinjo - - Ordering is reversed in stancesR.jpg image
