  1. Thanks Mark. The computer is set up with a User Account, as other family members use it. I have re-installed it 5/6 times and still getting the same problem. I had this happen once before and one day it made a "save". I'll finish installing my mods and start a dynasty. It does save different rosters/ dynasty's. So I'll just load the latest roster then the "unlocks" for stadiums/uniforms will work. If it starts saving a profile, I'll make a post. Maybe at that time I can figure out what went wrong.
  2. Mark, thanks for the help. I have done a search of all files and folders, there is no "User Profile". The only file in "My Documents/MVP Baseball 2005" is "MVPOptions_Options.sav". I had some problems with a couple of teams/stadiums crashing. So I am trying to do a clean install and then add the mods that I want. I use the original cd's and add the EA patches. But I can't get past this problem of the "User Profile". I put in the codes to unlock stadiums/uniforms, but the "User Profile" never saves. Each time I start the game it asks me to create a "User Profile". I do so and it shows at the bottom of the page with a flashing "!" (exclamation point). I go to the "User Profile" page and at the space below the menu is the following: "!" "Profile Status Changed". So I save it again and it keeps flashing. When I quit and restart the game I have to start all over again creating a new "User Profile". Do I have to play a game or start a dynasty before quiting the game in order for the "User Profile" to save? Is there a file on the original cd's that I can copy/paste to make this work? Thanks again for any help anyone can give.
  3. Thanks for the answer, but that's the problem. I've done a new install with no mods, just the EA patches. I create a new profile and save. But it is not saved, not in the above folder. Restart the game, and it asks me again to create a new profile. What am I missing?
  4. I can't get my game profile to save. I click on save and it says saved. But there is always a flashing red "!' (exclamation point). Then the next time I start the game all changes are gone and it is asking me to create a new profile. I have used the "search" in the forums, but have not found an answer. Any help, please?
  5. Using the ".mbe" file, I make a number of changes. But when I restart the game and start a new dynasty, the changes are not there. I load the correct rosters, but the changes do not show. The ".mbe" file has changed, but it's as if the ".dat" files have not. I can't get the ".dat" files to load in MVPedit. Any help?
  6. Ok, got it to work by using the ".mbe" file. Question: How can I change a team's total payroll?
  7. I also get an error. After double clicking on the database file, in the "Dat Directory", and it ask me where to save, I highlight the MVPedit folder. It then asks me that "File exists. Ok to overwrite?" I click Ok, then get the following error screen: " Run Time error '3163':" "The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add. Try inserting or pasting less data."
  8. It is possible. I was 6'0" tall at age of 12. I'm 6"9" now. Age 65.
  9. Coach thanks for your post. I'm a retired high school teacher and baseball coach and totally agree with you. I also coached Little League Majors (12 and under) for 25 years. Fastballs, change ups, control, and mechanics. I can't believe some of posters here, throwing 5 and 6 pitches. Most of the posters seem to be too young to be doing this. Junior or senior in high school or even college is the time to add one or two more pitches. Don't add any additional pitches until you have mastered the ones you already have. Some of these young men won't even have an arm left by the time they are in high school. The first step for me as a coach, was that a kid had to be able to strikes and have control. If not he couldn't pitch for me. If he could throw strikes and had control, then we worked on getting faster and a change up. When he mastered that, we could move on to a third pitch, if he was old enough and strong enough. Too many coaches and parents push kids to win at all costs and the price to pay is a bad arm.
