  1. WTF. The goal of Patch 2 is to include everything that's been released this summer along with faces that haven't come out yet. If anything, any faces made should have a proper cyberface ID for the roster
  2. More Patch 2 art work, starting with the game's startup sequence. Are you hyped? Because I sure as hell am.
  3. That's not your call to make. When making a thread, next time, make sure you explain what you want to say in the body of the post, not the title. Also, this site is not new, and with enough members who have come and gone and are probably still active, what you are looking for was probably mentioned already. The search function was broken before, but that is not the case now. Please search before posting.
  4. Cyclic redundancy errors are indicative of a failing hard drive
  5. Tony Gwynn is one of those players I used to idolize when I was a kid. I was a pudgy guy who was always a RFer if I wasn't playing 1B or pitching, and I was always known for having probably the best hitting eye on my team. By that, I mean I was always able to make contact, be it good or bad on pitches in and around the strike zone. Slydude, as I know you in your posts, pine for the older days of baseball, why don't you check out the Total Classics mods. I'm sure that the 1994 mod amazed you, but if you dig a little deeper, you'll find some absolute gems made by the community.
  6. I remember seeing Bo throw an absolute laser to 3B to pick off a guy advancing to third on a sacrifice fly at a Yankees game one time. I think the highlight is on YouTube somewhere
  7. 29 years ago, Bo Jackson showed the world and Royals fans that he knew baseball. Discuss the awesomeness that is Bo Jackson.
  8. I'm glad the feedback is geared more towards the improved pitching. I wanted the hitting/pitching to feel like a legit showdown, as it was intended by EA themselves in multiple interviews about the MVP series. It helps that the hitting is much more reliant on twitch reflex since the pitch speeds vary so greatly, making it easier to get mixed up on changeups and heaters, for example.
  9. I'll get to work on this during the weekend. I'm just trying to really maximize my free time but my job won't play nice
  10. I should work on rebalancing it a bit more. Maybe I should make this difficulty the new All-Star. I want True MVP to be a clear-cut, "throw this controller through a wall" challenge. I will say that this post makes me happy though as I want people to keep testing it out!
  11. This escalated to a place it didn't need to go. Remain civil, guys.
  12. ....but are you having fun? That's what's most important to me
  13. Settle this in PMs. Not in a public forum. Let's stay on topic as we have been in the subsequent posts. The camera for batting has been restored to vanilla in the datafile as I felt like it made a lot better sense to me to just tweak the base datafile to what I thought would be the logical thing EA would do. In a sense, a lot of the changes in the datafile were done with the intention of preserving the experience of the game as it was 10 years ago but tweaking it so both new and older, experienced players of the game can enjoy it just the same.
  14. I'm planning on releasing the source code tonight for this editor so anyone worth their salt in code can work on it and improve on its usage. It's got potential..well at least I think so. If you know how to code in Visual Studio, you are golden.
  15. The txt file belongs in datafile.big which you can import through a utility like BigGui (I'm not sure if it could be found here). If you can find the BigGui utility, be sure to rebuild the datafile.big file (by clicking the (R) icon) after importing.
  16. Do you still use that PC for online usage? Color me shocked that it hasn't been compromised with a 0-day exploit. I'd keep the XP machine strictly offline by now. Since you mentioned OS lineage, 7 is the logical end-game to what Vista tried to achieve with it's visual overhaul (I'm not a huge fan of Aero). 8 was the logical extension of what MS had started with the Zune interface with Metro. Windows 10 is just a mishmash of Windows 7 and 8.1 with a hint of privacy invasion. I'm a huge fan of Windows 8.1 though.
  17. Glad to know it's working properly. Any issues, let us know and I will update the installation guide accordingly.
  18. Not everyone wants to pay an exorbitant amount for a 10 year old title, of course, but every now and then someone is willing to part with their copy of MVP.
  19. Just wanted to clarify since I do want to troubleshoot: 1) When you installed TiT, the program itself will default to the 64-bit Program Files folder (as it was written in XP and 64-bit wasn't a thing yet). Did you change this to the directory where your copy of MVP Baseball 2005 is located? 2) When you ran TiT, did you try to launch the program as an administrator (right click on the Total Installer Thingy shortcut-> Run As Administrator)?
