was the bmp the right bit size? i find that when it's not it gives me the error. it's a simple fix too. just open up your bmp in photoshop, select everything, copy it....open up a new document, paste and make sure to save it correctly. if i remember right, it should be at 24 bit. it sometimes saves it at other bit sizes by default.

yeah i made that fatal mistake several times in the past before learning about it. you can do a blank search and it'll tell you how many players you have. then subtract 50 for both all star teams since they're just duplicates and that should give you a good number for how many players are there.
-
so just delete some players then i guess. i believe there's a limit of 3250 players, is that correct? otherwise, the only other thing i can think of is you tried to edit the allstar teams through mvpedit and not notepad.
-
possibly created too many players?
-
i think everyone hear is saying the same thing about their teams. and spungo, there's no way anyone, ANYONE else would refer to your stuff as junk. it's absolutely top notch.
-
wow, that's hilarious. but i think the I Suck part is overboard.
-
hmmm...nifty idea. did i just say nifty?
-
see, told you :)

not sure on the joint project thing, but i do know that they cross reference alot. we'll wait for kg's answer. where is he anyhow? he's always here. but yeah, i'm pretty sure that comment was sarcasm.
-
mo, i believe it was sarcasm. the point i believe he was making in that thread, if i'm correct, is that the original guy should stop complaining about UR because KG's and SS's rosters are also perfectly good alternatives.

you cannot use faces greater than 900. if you assign a player with a face greater than 900 in mvpedit, they get the generic faces. generic face 901 equates into the g001 face in the models.big. the managers are found in the team tab in mvpedit.

i have no idea. 1. what's this 1766 thing? 2. what did you do? can't tell you what you did wrong if you never tell us what you did.

get a program called nfshtool. take your fsh file, drag and drop it into nfshtool this will create a folder by the same name as your fsh file, in the same location as your fsh file. open it up, inside is the index file. right click it to open it with notepad, and edit it as such. save it, and then drag and drop the index file into nfshtool again. this will repack it. otherwise, you could just take your bmp file and the alpha and use kraw's portrait maker.

the installer would work just fine as long as they didn't change the id number. if we could all ever agree on a central numbering system it wouldn't be an issue. there's a whole slew of faces that have been requested that haven't been done. each modder seems to have their own thread and most of those requests get thrown in there. i was looking through the projects section, and was thinking something like that would be a good central place to hold it. this way, any face modder could look in there to see which faces are requested and which ones have been done. don't know if anyone here would be willing to do it. this would would really do me alot of favors when doing the classic faces. i know i've probably done faces that jscand and other modders have already done or planning to do. i'm not really sure on how that section of the site works, but it would be a good place if anyone was willing to tackle it. as far as the database goes, it may or may not work. it would be a good idea, but in reality, for myself at least, when it comes to making new faces, it's a matter of being familiar with who's already in the game and recognizing which of them would make a good model. it's kind of something you get better at with experience. that or i will just ask for a recommendation from the community. but it's never perfect, so i end up using oedit anyhow, so i'm not too picky on it anymore. i tell you what though, if anyone is able to oedit the homer simpson face for me, that would be cool!
-
i haven't seen this list. but they can vary depending on who's roster you're using. i wish there was a central database to who we assign which cyberface to, but it just varies from each roster.
-
yes. that's why you would open up the roster you're using with MVPedit to see which number is assigned.
-
the cyberface Id's are different with some players in the plus version. this is because it is intended to be used with an updated models.big, not the original file.
-
anyone up for doing one of the all time stolen base king (that would be rickey)?
-
i get the same message using IE. try going through firefox. works fine that way.
-
it depends on what models.big you're using. each team, except the blue jays can have up to 12 uniforms. you should simply be able to install those with kraw's installer. did you play the game to see if it worked? the only thing you need to do is edit the uniform portrait screen. you need to replace the appropriate file. open the uniforms.big file in the frontend folder. look for the 010.fsh file. extract that, unpack it with nfshtool, and replace the appropriate pic with the one you want. repack it with nfshtool, then use kraw's installler to reinstall it into the uniforms.big file.

there are actually many ways to go from this point. you should do a search for this since there are many threads on it. i'll go ahead and give you one of them. http://www.mvpmods.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=24833.html

big papi diving? where's the ball..hehehe... but seriously, it just seems that that middle picture of him diving is out of place. but that's just me.
-
i don't remember authorizing that :)

i think it's atrocious. obviously the guy isn't faster than a speeding bullet. that's just blatant false advertising. if he was, that would just be ridiculous. just like my sarcasm. but seriously, i like it, but the middle cutout is to fuzzy. the other two are pretty crystal clear, so it makes the blemishes on that one stand out a little bit more.
