i did a clean install of mvp2005 on windows 7 and downloaded and installed patches 1 thru 5 and installed the mvp2015 'explodeme.exe' as administrator and i can't get the game to start. when i click on the mpv2005 icon, i get a "access denied" "please log in with administrative privileges and try again" i've right-clicked the icon and selected "run as administrator" and tried again with the same results. let me know what i've done wrong before i uninstall and re-install the game. is it the patches that are causing the problem?
let me HELP you by pointing you in the direction of the thread

Never thought of that BigRog. Is that what you might do?
Nope. Im just seeing things for the way they are and not being salty because "I still play a game from 2005 and the world is evolving around me"
Edit: I also dont post pointless nonsense on every topic just to pad my post numbers -
Wow BigRog that is a lot of money for a game (the $99.99 one).
not really considering you get the steel book, a hat, and the millions of extra bonus in game content that they are just probably gonna sell with micro transactions in game. A lot of people spend money on stubs for the card collections in game whether it be this, madden, fifa, nhl, etc
and since the hat is limited edition, i wouldn't be surprised if people sell those online for 40 or 50 dollars. Make half the money back right there -
To Clarify
For 59.99- you get the game
For 69.99- Game
- Limited Edition Steel Book
- 5,000 Stubs
- Gold Season Starter Pack (includes Mission Starter for Gold Item)
- 1 Sponsor Pack
- 10 Standard Packs
- 31 PS4 Themes
For 99.99
- Game
- Limited Edition Steel Book
- Limited Edition New Era Hat
- Digital New Era Hat for use in Diamond Dynasty
- 11,000 Stubs
- Gold Season Starter Pack (Mission Starter for Gold Item)
- Diamond Season Starter Pack (Mission Starter for Gold Item)
- 1 Sponsor Pack
- 10 Standard Packs
- 31 PS4 Themes
The normal game is 59.99. They are just doing different game packages like every other trend in video games today

because steam isnt offering it anymore through digital download, physical copy is the only way to go

You just wait and see mister. You just wait and see.
I smell a future modder in the works
-
you wanna be running the same mods as the person you are playing (rosters, cyberface, stadiums, etc) or else it will crash the game

this whole concept of showboating always makes me think of this one scene in baseketball

its a new story and im trying to create interest and some talking in the forums. this is more straight to the point then buried in another thread someone might not look at given whatever the thread title might be. Something like this would of had its own topic in the old days and no one would of ever said anything about it? im wondering why its such a big deal

New York Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman has been suspended for 30 games due to his role in a domestic incident. Billy Witz of the New York Times was first to report the news, which has since been confirmed by Major League Baseball. Chapman will not appeal the suspension.
The 28-year-old pitcher was being investigated under MLB's new domestic violence policy after he was involved in a domestic dispute with his girlfriend in October. According to the police report, Chapman allegedly choked his girlfriend and fired eight gunshots into his garage.
Chapman's suspension won't kick in until the regular season, so he'll be eligible to play during spring training. He will be able to return May 9 against the Kansas City Royals. Chapman will lose roughly $1.7 million while serving his suspension, according to Witz.
Chapman released a statement shortly after the news broke, insisting he didn't hurt his girlfriend and his accepting MLB's punishment to limit distractions. Here's his statement in full:
"Today, I accepted a 30 game suspension from Major League Baseball resulting from my actions on October 30, 2015. I want to be clear, I did not in any way harm my girlfriend that evening. However, I should have exercised better judgment with respect to my actions, and for that I am sorry. The decision to accept a suspension, as opposed to appealing one, was made after careful consideration. I made this decision in an effort to minimize the distractions that an appeal would cause the Yankees, my new teammates and most importantly, my family. I have learned from this matter, and I look forward to being part of the Yankees’ quest for a 28th World Series title. Out of respect for my teammates and my family, I will have no further comment."
Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred also released a statement explaining why he opted to give Chapman a 30-game suspension.
“I asked my staff to conduct a comprehensive investigation of the incident involving Aroldis Chapman on October 30, 2015. Much of the information regarding the incident has been made public through documents released by law enforcement. Mr. Chapman submitted to an in-person interview with counsel present. After reviewing the staff report, I found Mr. Chapman’s acknowledged conduct on that day to be inappropriate under the negotiated Policy, particularly his use of a firearm and the impact of that behavior on his partner. I am gratified that Mr. Chapman has taken responsibility for his conduct, that he has agreed not to appeal the 30-game suspension, and that he has agreed to comply with the confidential directives of the Joint Policy Board established under the parties’ Policy to ensure that a similar incident does not occur in the future.”
Chapman posted a 1.63 ERA over 66 1/3 innings with the Cincinnati Reds last season. Despite the investigation, the Yankees traded for the All-Star closer in December.
Due to the length of the suspension, Chapman will become a free-agent following the 2016 season. Had Chapman been suspended for 40 games, he could have remained with the Yankees for an additional season due to service time rules.

Yes and No
The Katie Roy create a player still works, but i am not sure if the players that are unlocked are still in the mod or replaced with other people. but yes, creating a player with katie roy will unlock all the unlockables -
just for the record to the original poster... this is a outdated game. even though you would think that the new updates to certain drivers, os, etc would be compatible with an older game, this is sometimes not the case. many problems can be ran into because when they test this game out and patch things, they didn't test it with these new updates like directx 11. if the game was still supported, maybe we would see a patch come out. because it isnt though, bugs and problems are more likely to be ran into.
-
I would trust the guys on this site who have been doing this for years, and just downgrade to directx 9 for now

Ive been here since i think 05 or 06. I was a junior in hs and was finding a baseball game for pc because mvp was over and 05 was the last and best game at the time for baseball on my xbox. I remember the old triple play before it was mvp, sitting in the living room in my boxers as a kid 7am playing baseball ln the weekends.... This site was an amazing place to come to when i was a teen after school. I would talk to KC.. he used to help me mod on the side, unis... portraits.. etc. He was usually my guide for everything tech savy... and DAFT PUNK. KC got me into daft punk lol and techno music hahaha. I remember sean, mark, totte, dj, kraw, y4l.. this site was so hot, You could poat a topic and it would be buried in less then a min or two of no one responded...(and remembe no bumping of double posts). But sadly as the product dates itself we've lost these guys, lives happen.. on site politics and/or butting of heads between people of rank. That hurt us because we lost good modders that way.
The task of generating site traffic is tough. I think a lot of that has to do with mvp being so old... i think that has to also do with 2k being older as well. I remember back in 07 or 08 when kraw made eamods and it had madden as well as his mvp stuff. It became the alt site for people to run to if mvpmods was down or you got banned from this site. Ultimatly I think his idea of all sports modding under one site was clutch though. I think if we were a site of dedicated modders for all sports games we could generate a lot more traffic and interests. We can still always talk about baseball and mod mvp but eventually comes a time for us all to adapt so we can stay a family talking under one site.. i for one am willing to help however i can if i am asked to because this site got me through some rough teen years just wasting away time enjoying everyones company ten years ago

Havent been back in awhile, been working a lot on MLB THE SHOW 15 rosters and its so much work with just 2 guys doing it. You have 90 rosters per team. Pitch edits player ratings , player faces that are created , equipment edits etc....I have talked with plenty of guys form OS,shownation etc as the coding on the game might now be bale to be accessed or something, but would be so much easier if a small editor could be made for MLB THE SHOW 15 at least. I am the guy that gets all the heights 7 weights added in for the game been doing that for the last 3 years, but would be great to be bale to edit the stuff we cant ourselves and just kills me when they remove players from the game ho were once on it who actually still play. I also would love the ability to use other players faces to use on created rookies would make it look so much better. Then what u guys do here on the mods for MVP and MLB 2K12 is amazing i cant say enough on the incredible work thats been done on those games. To be able to keep the portraits updated would be 100 times better than what were are currently getting.
Thanks to anyone listening...I have reached out to everyone and everywhere I know to try and find that 1 guy who might be bale to make a small editor. an editor with HEXHD, modio and those things might be possible.
its not possible. ive already seen them try this before for the show 14 at operation sports and fail

rosters in a sav dynasty file and a roster sav file are two different things. your gonna have to start a new dynasty to reflect roster changes in a dynasty
