Sometimes, when I get really bored, I play an exhibition on rookie with everything maxed out on sliders to either -50 or +50 in my favor. I get scores of like 67-0.

I also turn this off, I find it unrealistic to see what kind of pitch is coming.

I think MVP's hitter's eye is kinda like how some pitchers tip off their pitches in reali life, like when a hitter sees a certain grip on the ball, they can guess what the pitch is. You can't see a grip on the ball in the game because they just kinda palm the ball lol.

For flamethrowers, try to guess if he is gonna throw an off-speed pitch, you will get a much bigger jump on a slower pitch.

For MVP, patience is key. I normally don'y swing at the first pitch unless it's a mistake right over the plate. It also helps to take pitches so you can steal and move runners more easily. Play some small ball too, sac bunts and hit and runs. Manufacture runs.

MVP. I've had this game for six months on PC, and I was playing on MVP level for almost a year on GameCube, so I am adjusted to this. I might put the sliders to my disadvantage now for a challenge.

I don't think it's possible to play with all 30 teams in complete control, but the team changer by tywiggins is plenty for me.

I was also thinking that maybe the datafile would do a better job of improving throwing arms and runner speed proportionally than my sliders. Though I do like Johnny Damon nailing runners at third often :D

Maybe for the datafile that goes with the new mod, the pickoffs to second base can be severely lowered. I get a pickoff move to second every at bat I have a runner there, in reality I have seen about three of them in ten plus years.
