Looking forward to seeing that when it is finished.  It must have been a real pain to create those tri-corner hats and breeches for the uniforms.  ^_^

I've often thought about creating a mod from the 1930's.  It's the only decade that doesn't currently have a Total Classics mod.  The TC1927 mod would provide a good base for this.

By 1938, we have 100% stadium coverage. If you are a little earlier, let me know and I can say how far we are.

well on a serious note to the OP's question, yes it was talked about years ago but it never materialized.  how old am i that I remember this?

Yup, I recall this. Seems it generated a lot of interest, then... died.

I was clicking and dragging each individual point and hoping for the best. Hence 2 days on one project. Gah. Now I'm just having quite a time in Sean O's Fenway Park 1995 mod. I want to push the flagpole back out of the field of play, but I can't figure out which part it is in removable.o. It might be in mstadium.o, so that's my next big project now that I've got some of the basics down.

I'm trying to remember my approach by the time I got to my final projects. I definitely used removable.o more than mstadium.o, since iirc removable.o was not subject to MVP's annoying tendency to remove items that were determined to be off screen. However, for some items, I would offload to one of the other .o files simply because my latter projects were so so gigantic and going past what was possible with the MVP engine.

Would love to help.... but I forgot. Good luck!

  5. I was in section 32, but after everyone started to leave I moved to the first row behind the Red Sox dugout

I love 32, love it. Cheap tickets, great view, near the monster, easy access to concessions and restrooms.

Anyway, I've been to Angel Stadium pre-renovation (awful, soulless and dark), Renovated Yankee Stadium (in desperate need of renovation, instead of replacement), Wrigley (likewise), Camden, CBP and PNC (both excellent) and US Cellular (truly underrated). Will visit Coors Field for the first time in June, and hopefully the Nationals Penitentiary at some point.

  6. How can we? We would need permission to do so. Also, the stadiums in this thing are no where near completion.

Here are the status of the 1927 stadiums:

    AL:

    Yankee Stadium: heavily changed

    Shibe Park: stock from EA

    Griffith Stadium: stock from EA

    Navin Field: changed, unavailable

    Comiskey Park: changed, unavailable

League Park: done from Sean O

    Sportsman's Park: unchanged from '40s/'50s

Fenway Park I: done from EA

    NL:

    Forbes Field: stock from EA

    Sportsman's Park: unchanged from '40s/'50s

    Polo Grounds: stock from EA

    Wrigley field: heavily changed

    Crosley Field: stock from EA

Ebbets Field: done from Sean O

Braves Field: done from Sean O

Baker Bowl: done from Sean O

So, Wrigley, Navin (tiger), Comiskey and Yankee Stadium are way off. Everything else is essentially stock from EA, or otherwise already changed.

  7. i too am requesting my mods to be removed since i can't do them myself anymore.

i've been back and forth on this since this started now. i've contributed my share when you guys had to do this the first time. and i completely understand why you have to do it now. but i only see it as a short term solution. and if this is what you need to do to keep the site up and running, then i don't foresee this site surviving. which is a real shame.

So the way to help the site survive is to remove all of your content from it? Be serious man. Trues isn't doing this to make a buck, he's tired of taking a $100+ loss every month because people don't donate.

Whatever, it's your decision, I just can't help but lose a lot of respect for anyone who pulls their work, from one modder to another.

  8. Yeah I know, I just didn't want to feel like I was be selfish because although primarily I am doing it for myself, I'm also producing it so everyone else can enjoy the season and I feel that they deserve to at least have a say.

If you're not modding primarily for yourself, what's the point?

  9. Actually Sean, it's an earlier year than you and I discussed last month, but let's just say that it will be something that you will be interested in since it's a decade we haven't done before and your boys from Boston had a very good regular season that year. That's the last I'll say about the project...... :)

Love it, glad to hear. I greatly prefer earlier to later at this point, can't wait to dig in.

  10. Good thing about my new laptop is that i have a lot of harddisk space, which means i will install multiple mvp editions.

It will take some getting used to the mvp graphics again, but in the end its gameplay what its all about

Use rolie's bloom mod, and it looks dramatically better.
