  4. Candlestick Park 1978 / 1988

Tremendous thanks to: rolie - grass / turf design and texturing Cubs720 - datafile work Everyone who helped beta test during the development process Installation: Rename each .big file to the park you wish to replace. For example, if you wish to replace the Giants home field, rename the day to sbcpday.big and nite to sbcpnite.big. Then copy into your ...DataStadium folder. Make a copy of the datafile (the .txt) and rename to sbcpday.txt and sbcpnite.txt, and place in your MVP Data folder. The 1978 version includes artificial turf, and 1988 includes grass. Everything else is largely the same. Please let me know if you discover any problems with the park. Hope you enjoy.

  9. Yankee Stadium 1951

Thanks to: rolie - grass hardcorelegend - frieze MarlinsMY & DYosua - scoreboard graphics and mechanics bhutsell - collision data paulw & hyman - original classic yankee, which served as inspiration all the beta testers who helped out I cannot stress enough how wonderful it has been to work with these modders through the course of this project. Rolie knocked out a perfect grass model. The frieze that HCL found was loads better than the one I had created. MarlinsMY and his brother Dyosua did the impossible when it came to the scoreboard. And without exaggerating, Brian and I exchanged at least a hundred e-mails when it came to the collision data, which is unlike anything that's ever been seen in a computer baseball game. Park features: - Working pre-1959 scoreboard and auxiliary field-level boards - full collision data. balls don't disappear into the stands, they actually roll off each individual row - scratch-built period ads - completely scratch-built stands - in-play monuments in deep center field 1951-specific features: - green frieze and walls - green seats - pre 1959-scoreboard Installation: Note that I have included two seperate versions, one full and one lite for each day and night. If you have a problem with crashing on the full version, try the lighter one. This is a beast of a park, stretching right up to the limits of what MVP can handle. Rename the day version to the park you wish to overwrite in the ..datastadium folder. For example, to replace Yankee Stadium rename to yankday.big and yanknite.big respectively. There have been issues with the datafile not working correctly for dugouts, and the bullpens simply have not yet been completed. Rename the .txt file to yankday.txt and yanknite.txt, and place in the ..data folder. Hope you enjoy what has been a wonderful project.

  15. Ebbets Field 1913/1955

Ebbets Field 1913 and 1955 by Sean O First, thanks go out to paulw for use of his original Ebbets Field graphics, and hyman for his work on the original stadium. Thanks to rolie, ChicagoCubs720 and MarlinsMY for their tremendous help with conversion and other questions during the building process. Also, to KC, HCL, redsox, trues, and anyone else involved over the last 5 weeks. INSTALLATION: 1956 mod: 1). Rename ebbets1955.big to dodgday.big and ebbets.txt to dodgday.txt. 2). Copy .big file to your 1956 directory, typically c:Program FilesEA SportsMVP Baseball 1956DataStadium. 3). Copy .txt to c:Program FilesEA SportsMVP Baseball 1956Data. 3). Play in the Dodgers' slot in the 1956 mod. Everything else: Simply rename which version you'd like to the desired slot, and place in c:Program FilesEA SportsMVP Baseball 1956DataStadium. Notes: 1). The crowd is intentionally missing in the lower deck, center field. Since you cannot remove the 3d crowd from within the game, I chose a pure black background instead. 2). You can change the number of 3d crowd members in Game Options->Display Options->3d crowd density. The crowd looks best with high or medium, but low will improve your frame rate. 3). Cameras, bullpens and dugouts are a trouble spot, since they are very difficult to modify, especially considering the construction of a dugout. If this is the sort of thing that makes the park unplayable for you, I suggest not installing this park. 4). I am aware that the 3d crowd seats do sink below the upper deck, but fixing this would cause many other major problems. 5). The 3d crowd will seem to disappear from the occasional between-inning camera pans from behind the screen in left. This is fundamentally built into the game, and are unavoidable. I hope you enjoy, and thanks again to everyone who has helped out.

  16. Sick's Stadium by Sean O

Sick's Stadium was the oh-so-temporary home to the failed Seattle Pilots expansion team that became the Milwaukee Brewers. It was a small, converted minor league park, that had difficulty accommodating major league ball. It did not even have lights, so no night baseball was seen in Seattle until 2000, 31 years later. This comes in two versions, dusk and cloudy in the day and nite slots respectively. In the night version, you will get real rain for the first few innings. Just not enough to call the game. Installation: Extract safeday and safenite.big to the stadium folder. Extract the two .txt files to the main data folder. ***********NOTE************* This will overwrite your current Seattle Mariners park. Back up safeday and safenite.big before installation in a safe place, or rename these files to overwrite another stadium. Enjoy!

  22. Sean O's Lost Ballparks - Baker Bowl Alpha

This is the Baker Bowl, home of the Phillies before moving into Shibe Park. This is an alpha version, meaning it is in no way ready for release on its own. However, the likelihood of me finishing it is around 0, so I release it with the hopes that someone will polish it up and make it worth the download. All I ask is a co-bill if you do release your own version. Best of luck, do what you can. Sean O

  23. Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Version 2.0

This is the new version of the Los Angeles Coliseum, completely rebuilt from scratch. The dimensions are all correct, the stands have been completely built from scratch, the arches in the outfield have been added, and the foul ground is accurate. Also, the lighting standards are included, along with the broadcast booth. All told, this took countless hours of tweaking, building, and general bleariness at staring at tiny little dots until the wee hours of the morning. I hope you enjoy.

A word of caution: The park still has some glaring issues. 1). there are no crowds, since adding them would be an insane job I wouldn't wish on anybody. 2). In some places there are disappearing wall / graphic problems. I've done my best to fix them, but my best just isn't quite good enough. My apologies. 3). The grass is screwed up, but I have no other choice. 5). There is a weird teal light in center field that I cannot for the life of me remove, so it screws up the look in CF. and 6). players in the dugout still appear underground, and the bullpen camera pans are all screwed up. If anyone wants to change any of these, be my guest.

Special Thanks: To my beta testers, Stecropper, powerhouse, Brooklyn, and Mark, endless thanks.
To Andrew Clem, whose layout page I consult daily.
To my girlfriend, for letting me spend endless hours on this.

Installation: Copy the file into the ..datastadium folder, it will overwrite Spring Training Stadium 2. Or, rename the file to another stadium you wish to overwrite instead. If you want to backup the stadium you replace, its on MVP 05 Disc 2.
    Enjoy.

If you enjoy this mod and want to help out a poor recent college grad, I'd appreciate any donation sent my way. I have a paypal account at eyerishman34@yahoo.com, and donations would certainly make it easier to explain the amount of time I've spent on this to my wonderful girlfriend. Otherwise, just leave a comment in the thread.
