  1. This week's LOST sucked. I'd give it ** out of 5, and that's only because 2 weeks ago was a one * episode. They need to start revealing something, anything, or the show is just going to be pointless. MST3K = Mystery Science Theatre 3000.
  2. Neither would I. Sean McDonough is still the best baseball announcer i've ever heard. It was an absolute blessing that I was able to hear McDonough and Remy together for so many years in the late 90s / early 2ks, since they were perfect together. I'll never forget the day they tied Petey to the post in the dugout. Those were the days.
  3. I don't know, they have about the same range in the field. I still say injecting illegal substances into your body is more disrespectful to the game than just being a spaz, but that's just me. After reading most of a book on the Brooklyn Dodgers, and hearing about what the old ballplayers were like, flipping a bat after a home run is nothing. At least (most players, Mr. Rodriguez excluded) don't actively attempt to injure other players at this point. Anyway, I'm sick of football at this point, so I'm looking forward to the Celtics season. Got my ridiculously cheap Ricky Davis all primed to go, and I can't wait for the 1.13 Celtics / 6ers game at the Wachovia Center.
  4. I listed the Colt .45's seperately from the Astros, since the name switch came with the stadium switch.
  5. 8/24/05 - Changed Edison International Field from graphic-updated to still in need of modification, since the protest version is purposely inaccurate. Added Network Associates Coliseum to graphically updated list. polaris- Yeah, Clem isn't afraid to let his feelings known, and though I disagree with his politics fiercely, his layouts are ridiculously great. As for making Riverfront Stadium proper a reality, it would sadly only be possible by modifying the Vet, and that alone would require some intensive changes. It's kind of a shame that Three Rivers, Atlanta Fulton County Stadium and Riverfront aren't in the game, since they would've been pretty easy to create once they made the Vet.

This is the new version of the Los Angeles Coliseum, completely rebuilt from scratch. The dimensions are all correct, the stands have been completely built from scratch, the arches in the outfield have been added, and the foul ground is accurate. Also, the lighting standards are included, along with the broadcast booth. All told, this took countless hours of tweaking, building, and general bleariness at staring at tiny little dots until the wee hours of the morning. I hope you enjoy. A word of caution: The park still has some glaring issues. 1). there are no crowds, since adding them would be an insane job I wouldn't wish on anybody. 2). In some places there are disappearing wall / graphic problems. I've done my best to fix them, but my best just isn't quite good enough. My apologies. 3). The grass is screwed up, but I have no other choice. 5). There is a weird teal light in center field that I cannot for the life of me remove, so it screws up the look in CF. and 6). players in the dugout still appear underground, and the bullpen camera pans are all screwed up. If anyone wants to change any of these, be my guest. Special Thanks: To my beta testers, Stecropper, powerhouse, Brooklyn, and Mark, endless thanks. To Andrew Clem, whose layout page I consult daily. To my girlfriend, for letting me spend endless hours on this. Installation: Copy the file into the ..datastadium folder, it will overwrite Spring Training Stadium 2. Or, rename the file to another stadium you wish to overwrite instead. If you want to backup the stadium you replace, its on MVP 05 Disc 2. Enjoy. Sean O
  7. I fixed the Memorial to be Municipal, that was my mistake. As for the others, I use different names for the same place to denote the different physical configurations. Riverfront Stadium was the full version, while Cinergy is what I denote as the 2000 version with the removed seating area. Skydome hasn't physically changed in terms of seating or field layout, so Skydome works fine for me.
  8. jg2977, my error, forgot to list Miller Park, thanks for catching it. polarisslbm, Thanks, I was unaware any modifications ever took place there, but looking at Andrew Clem's site I was clearly mistaken. It's been fixed.

Milwaukee County Stadium ------------------------------- The home of the Brewers from 1970-2000. Read the thread in the announcements board for more information and pictures. Changes: ----------- 1). Moved the walls to correct locations with collision detection 2). Changed foul ground walls to correct locations 3). Added new scoreboard and bullpen area 4). Recreated bleacher seating area 5). Lowered upper deck and removed outfield seating 6). Lots and lots of other stuff. If you enjoy this mod and want to help out a poor recent college grad, I'd appreciate any donation sent my way. I have a paypal account at eyerishman34@yahoo.com, and donations would certainly make it easier to explain the amount of time I've spent on this to my wonderful girlfriend. Otherwise, just leave a comment in the thread. Hope you enjoy. Sean O

Baltimore Memorial Stadium 1954-1993 By: Sean O ------------------------ Rebuilt from scratch. Installation: Extract orioday and orionite.big to the stadium folder. Extract the two .txt files to the main data folder. ***********NOTE************* This will overwrite your current Baltimore Orioles park. Back up orioday and orionite.big before installation in a safe place, or rename these files to overwrite another stadium. Enjoy! Sean O

There are two parks included in this .zip file, one of Braves Field in its original arrangement, and the other with the modified later layout. Consult the jpg to see the difference in layouts. It should be noted that the Braves 1952 park is not entirely accurate due to the source stadium of Forbes Field not having enough collision data points in the outfield. So instead of center field being curved as in real life, its angled to create a rough approximation of the outfield. Also, the game does not let you move the space for bullpens as we know to this point, so players warming up will still appear in their old spot, depending on which stadium you replace with this one. In reality, the bullpens were between the right field fence and the Jury Box seating. Rename the files to whatever stadium you want to overwrite. Since PaulW used AAA Stadium 1 for Ebbets, I suggest renaming the files aaa2nite.big and aaa3nite.big, respectively, so you can keep your other parks intact. Enjoy, and please leave a comment in the MVP 2005 Announcements Thread if you enjoy it. -- Sean O

The alpha version of the LA Coliseum. Has roughly correct dimensions, but is in dire need of polishing and a graphical treatment. See the thread in MVP 2005 Previews for more information and to comment on the work. Enjoy. If you wish to mod this park to get it accurate, please feel free.
