Epic IV: 2008 Rosters for MVP Baseball 2005 by SwinginSoriano Version 1.0 2/12/08 Check out what was literally over three years in the making. Starting in November 2004, a new roster that would help change the face of major league rosters in MVP Baseball took shape. This roster would update all ratings for the new baseball season. The name of this roster? Epic. Why? Sometimes there isn't a good reason, as the name "Epic" was randomly chosen when the file was saved as a .mbe for the very first time! The rest is history. Now, Epic Rosters take attention to every detail and statistic available for optimum Major League play. It started as an "off-season" roster available for MVP Baseball 2004 and it has now become one of the most popular mods available today, here in 2008 for MVP Baseball 2005. I hope you enjoy this roster as much I enjoyed creating it! It depends on if I decide to overhaul the Dance, Hip Hop, and Latin ditties. Possibly I'll decrease the volume on those as well but I'm not sure if I'll put the time into it. This is simply a personal mod, made for my own enjoyment. It's not perfect but it's uploaded if it suits you. Possibly the decreased volume will make it possible to hear Krukow and Kuiper during the game. Let's see if that's the case. ----Other Notes----- The pop-rock-format is in tact for the most part. For 'pop' I used mostly popular classic rock. Baseball players usually do not enter to Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce, Shakiera, or whatever the hell most people listen to. I followed more of EDM's route, including popular songs that were still rock. Something batters could enter to. 'Rock' is mostly 90s-00s hard rock, and Coldplay's Talk. Hope you're happy Craig! Heavy Rock is a mix of glam/arena rock and metal. If you do not like the song selection there are two other mods available (from EDM and Dwillisster) that may suit you. EDM's file is default in MVP 07.

Remember the old theme song from MVP 2004? (Between innings and such) Well, it's back! (If you choose so of course). Now you can put this more catchy them in your game over the 2005 theme song

Great file to have while editting rosters. Each and every MVP Batting Stance as a large picture, with both right and left handed stances! While originially released for MVP 2004, the file is now updated include the extra 2005 stances and the updated stances. Available in a low memory .pdf and a high quality .doc.

Just some clips from the MLB International Theme (circa 2001 World Series). Pretty much most of the clips are pieces scattered from games 3, 4, 5, and 7, one of the files could not even be completed. Basically, if done right it could possibly be included as a 'theme song' in MVP 06. Hopefully my "equipment" was good enough to get the sound, possibly some of you guys out there can touch up the sound. (Or remove the voice from one file) These are .wav files.

These were converted by Krawhitham, so basically, he should get the credit. Basically my rosters, and his patience to convert them.

Rosters updated as of 1/10/06. These are a BETA version of the MVP 06 rosters, with updated attributes (for every single player), career stats, birthdates! You will need MVPedit to export the .mbe file, search for it here or go to http://www.glass4.com/ to get the 2004 version of MVPedit. This is a work in progress, leave all comments in the official thread (the homepage) in order to comment on attributes and anything else. .sav file added

These config files complete the 'unknown' and inaccurate parts of the stock config file included with MVPedit. Use these to help edit your rosters. No longer will Bret Boone's stance be called "Berkman, Lance" and stuff like that. Even has hair styles and swing types filled out. Separate files for both MVP 2004 and 2005 are included. The file is somewhat personalized, due to the fact that I have been using a 'Beta' for quite a while now. Since Rossmac gave me the idea to update the file entirely, I did so. I hope you enjoy it. :)

Hey, my second Cyberface and it came out way better. MVP 2004 lacks Carlos Zambrano, so BAM, heres Carlos.

The Manyon has finally entered the third dimension, or at least the virtual third dimension. Here is my first cyberface and it isn't half-bad. With all the Sturtze pics on the net being so small, this came out very well. Too bad Sturtze looks like a typical white guy, which kills this Cyberfaces distinctiveness but it is still good. Download it for MVP 2004 now! I don't know if it will work for 2005, but give it a try. Fun fact: While the cyberface partially resembles Frank Catalanotto, it was actually based of Kevin Brown. (It looks nothing like Brown though.) :P

Hey, its the final opening day roster for 2005! This roster has come a long way in two months. Since I have released this roster in early February, I have fixed pitching deliveries, pitch motions, more batting stances, adjusted some abilities, and still made all the transactions. Though 2004 is dead, anyone who is still using it can still play it 2005 style! This roster includes all transactions up to opening day. Some ST invite releases were not included, simply because the minors need filler and I feel that some people like the fact that they can have them. Also, some attributes have been changed around but not greatly. I'd like to thank all the people who have put up with the lousy initial roster (though still known as the best) with all of the glitches. From everyones constructive critcism, I was able to complete a very useful an accurate roster. Sadly, that day happened when 2005 came out! Anyway, for anyone with 2004, GAME ON! Possibly I'll spend another winter making a new roster for 2006. Will it be for 2004 or 2005? I have not determined that yet. And one more thing, go Yankees! Go Soriano! Except when you are playing the Yankees! Other notes: The velocity may be a tad fast for everyones liking. Just adjust your pitch speed slider to -10, everything should be fine. If I ever make a roster for next year I'll make sure everyones power pitches are a little bit less fast. All transactions up to 4/3/05, 1:24 PM Eastern Time!

Yep, its the fifth version and hopefully the last. I think I finally fixed ALL the motions and I fixed TONS of deliveries. You must see it to believe it I guess. Also, includes all transactions up to 2/26/05. Most notably, Isringhausens extension with the Cardinals.
I am not sure how the 2005 roster works, its merely a conversion. So, someone should help fix up the 2005 .mbe because of differences in portrait and cyberfaces...
