  1. Jeter has been playing baseball for over 10 years and was given three gold gloves. Reyes is... Reyes. Reyes is also given A LOT more range than Jeter, and I see no complaints about that. I looked at the Epic rankings and Chase Utley was #1, then Castillo, then Brian Roberts, then Robinson Cano. I'm sure it is the same in KG's roster, because I doubt he would penalize Chase Utley and improve Castillo, would he? I actually looked at the draft purposely to better line up the ratings. It is something I have taken great care in.
  2. IMHO, all rosters should use the same models.big. Possibly more options can be created like: EA models.big: Default, made for standard versions Plus models.big: Mostly major league faces, minor league faces included too Majors models.big: Faces for only major league players. (Including relievers, bench players, etc.) Some players who WILL be called up can get faces, but simply a models.big made for people who do not play minor league games. Minors models.big: A models.big that has the more well-known major leaguers but has a great emphasis on minor league prospects. Simply each top 100 sort of guy has a face. There should be a handful of real faces on each minor league team to make it noticeable. Possibly a Plus/minors blend could be created for KG, but you have to give credit to Big Shmooz, Krawhitham, and Totte for creating the regular plus models.big that seems to satisfy everybody. (As long as you have the EA 2x faces handy. ) I'll just repeat this though, every roster should be compatible with a models.big. A 'just KG' models.big would be stupid, as in, UR should be able to use those numbers too. It could be made for KG, but it should be available for all. Just like how Hory puts all the effort for making audio/portrait IDs available for everyone the same should be done for models.bigs. In a way, it already is, but models.big(s) should never try to be exclusive.
  3. Me and KG aren't working together? Hopefully I just extremely confused. No matter who I provide my roster to I always plan to have my own roster anyway.
  4. Are you using mine or something else? I used MLB hot and cold zone stats for mine, varying them depending on the batting average of a player and his splits.
  5. Thank you very much! I spent too many hours looking at videos to try to get this as right as possible. Of course, every year there's something new to improve that makes rosters get even better! For batter ratings I tend to think they are actually less conservative than UR, but overall this prevents the best rated players on each team from being the 1-4 starters most of the time. Another thing I put a lot of time in is increasing reliever ratings. From what I have seen in my dynasty (which is in mid-september) it has paid off on the most part.
  6. What was your question? If you are afraid to ask you can always PM me. I've just read that Daniel Cabrera's slider is this curve, possibly a knuckle-curve the entire time?
  7. Look in the downloads section for the patches.
  8. Velocity varies per start too. Generally the starters you use on your own team have higher than the usual velocity, while CPU velocity drops as teh game goes longer. Simply, putting down top-out speeds or close to top-out speeds is more accurate because you don't want Smoltzie throwing 91 mph by the 2nd inning.
  9. Every mod comes with a readme because modders want people to be able to enjoy their mod. Anyway, either use the installer or... 1. cut the database folder 2. go to program files -> EA Sports -> MVP 2005 -> data 3. paste over It will work, that's it. I actually gave him the crouched stance, and as KG said, it does indeed look like the 'real' Frank Thomas stance.
  10. database folder goes to program files -> EA Sports -> MVP 2005 -> data
  11. I like Sabathia as well, but last year was the first season he finally lived up to his potential. I look forward to him improving, except against the Yankees.
  12. If you search Sabathia and slurve on google you get a bunch of links calling it a slurve. It's really a judgment call. It seems CC changes speeds with the pitch to make it more sweeping (like a slider) or be slower and break less like a curve. (Well, very minorly, the speeds are still similar along with the movement.) Once I'm decided I'll update it on my roster, but I'm leaning towards a slurve.
  13. I played against the Dodgers twice (two three game sets) and everything was fine. Rosters are a mystery.
  14. Kraw did take them away. Try downloading the MVP 06 models.big and taking some of the 2X default faces from that.
  15. Also for many guys, they change their stance constantly.
  16. This thread is a good idea, people can now ask their question without fear of creating unnecessary topics.
  17. Maybe he would have an Edgar Renteria stance... If Edgar Renteria's stance looked anything like the real thing. :toothless:
  18. Bradford's slider is in the 60s with the Mets, I bet it looks like it 'floats' to hitters to real life.
  19. He got the 7-8 (78 mph) mixed up, crap happens.
  20. Why don't you release this mod for everyone , I'm sure KG will approve.
  21. He'll like Phil Hughes until his first torching by ML hitters. I really think Yankee fans are thinking this guy is better then Ben Sheets, ALREADY.
  22. I believe that the new managers faces will be included in MVP 07, that'll be a while.
  23. It already happened, it's called KGbaseball's roster overhaul. The majors are pretty much the same, other than KG made some modifications, and didn't update hit charts, hot and cold zones, and hit and miss stuff. For the sake of creative control, I always intend to have my own roster.
  24. 1. Plus is for Big shmooz models.big, standard is for a default EA models.big. 2. Your current owners mode rosters can only be affected by one program, Tywiggins' MVPeditor.
