Dylan's MVP Baseball 2005 Schedule Generator
DylanBradbury replied to DylanBradbury's topic in Mod Announcements
The schedule is based on the default schedules, so it follows the same format. Therefore if Team A in the default plays everyday for a week, then Team A in the new schedule will too. There is some randomization involved as well, and therefore it can't account for everything. Generate a new schedule if you don't like the Dodgers having three Sundays off in a row. Lastly, in every schedule I have made the All-Star Game is there, so perhaps you just overlooked it. Thanks for using my program, mcoll86. -

That error usually occurs when you open a workbook that was created in a later version of Excel than yours and one of it's modules refers to something that's not available in your version. I made the program using MS Excel 2003. I really have no idea how to fix this problem, however. Sorry bro. :( -

Dylan's MVP Baseball 2005 Schedule Generator

Hey Folks, I'm sure more than one member would like an option to get rid of Interleague Play. I just need testers to make sure it a sample outputted schedule (without interleague play) works. If a few of you could test the attached schedule, and report back, it would be very appreciated. Just replace the attached schedule.big over the one in your MVP Baseball 2005\data\database folder. Please remember to backup, in case it crashes. Thanks Folks! :) NoInterleagueSchedTEST.rar -

It's a really good idea actually... It might take a while, but I'll try to make version 2.0 have no Interleague Play. No promises though. -
Dylan's MVP Baseball 2005 Schedule Generator

No it will not keep the two leagues apart, every schedule it generates will include Interleague Play. Perhaps it'll be something I'll add in a future release. I don't know of another Schedule Generator that will not include Interleague Play. Sorry. -

This program generates a random schedule for MVP 2005. If you're tired of playing the same schedule year after year, this is for you. Features: - Generates three (3) random schedules to replace the default schedules in schedule.big - Each team plays in series, just like a real schedule - Preview the written schedule in Excel - Choose the Interleague Division Matchups you want - Remove Interleague Play, if you wish - Choose the All-Star Game's Home Team (American or National League) Follow the instructions in the included readme, to generate a new schedule. - I've also created a version (2.1) that has moved Houston to the AL West, and generates a schedule with the new alignment. NEW! PLEASE REMEMBER TO BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL SCHEDULE.BIG. If you have any questions or concerns, just e-mail me. Enjoy! -

I've used your program before, and it's worked fine... However, today I came across this message when importing the exported rosters from your program. If anyone could help, that would be great. Error_Message.bmp

Use this program to determine a pitcher's ratings. This program calculates movement, control, velocity, and suggested trajectory for each pitch. It also calculates the pitcher's stamina rating. For more information, please read the included readme. If you have any questions, please ask them <a href="http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?showtopic=36536" target="_blank">here</a>, rather than PM me. Chances are someone else has the same questions as you do. Enjoy! <u><b>Version History</b></u> Version 12 (Current Version) - Improved formulas for movement and control Version 11 -Fixed a bug where for pitch control and movement were being rated too high. Version 10.4 -Fixed a bug where for some really strange reason, it was randomly assigning a pitch if none was selected for the third pitch. Version 10.3 -Improved some formula -Fixed an oversight in the Pitch Type Database, where if there were two pitchers with the same name it might choose the wrong pitcher. I took out the duplicates that were "less famous." Version 10.2.1 -Fixed a small bug where knuckleballs weren't being assigned in the random function. -Fixed a small bug where if a pitch wasn't selected for the second pitch, it would assign everything to zero's if you clicked "Calculate" once, but if you clicked it again, it would calculate the pitch as a change-up. Now it just calculates it as a change-up the first time. -Fixed a bug with the Import/Export feature and the new stamina formula Version 10.1 -Fixed a small bug where if the third pitch selection was null, it would still assign ratings to it. Version 10.0 -Added a second stamina formula. NEW! You can now choose the classic MVP-type formula or a more accurate formula. The MVP formula is the one EA's developers used and used in my calcualtor since the start. The Accurate formula is more representative of how I feel a pitcher performs. A closer will now have a rating in the teens or twenties (approx 10-29) rather than in the 40s. -
You're welcome Trues! Nice work on the design.

Click here to visit support topic. This program calculates a player's fielding, range, throwing strength, and throwing accuracy. All you need to do is fill in the necessary statistics, and the program will calculate the player's ratings, specifically for MVP Baseball 2005. The calculator will also estimate the innings played, if the user does not input inning data. This is useful for when calculating minor leaguers, as finding innings played data is just about impossible. ==The Import/Export Feature== Included in the .rar file is a sample inputFielding.csv file. DO NOT RENAME OR EDIT THE FIRST ROW. Just enter the statistics under each corresponding column: Name,Level,Position,GP,PO,A,E,Innings You can use Excel or many other spreadsheet programs, or use notepad and separate each stat by a comma (,), to enter your stats. If a fielder's innings played is unavailable just enter 0. Stats can be found at Baseball-Reference.com, which you can find a link to in the program. Defensive formulas are hard to create, and I think I did a pretty decent job. Enjoy! ~Dylan Version History Version 12.13 **CURRENT VERSION** -Improved innings played formula for when the info is unvailable. Version 12.12 -Fixed bugs. Version 12.11.1 -Included the inputFielding Generator. This Excel Worksheet allows you to paste statistics from the web, and it will automatically generate inputFielding.csv (needed for the Import/Export function of the calculator.) New! - Included a column for a players' organization, making it easier to find a player. Version 12.10 -Improved some formulae -Included the highly sought after *Import/Export Feature* New! -

Version 3.0 - Added Minor League adjustment (Note: Single A pitchers seem to have a higher stamina than Double A pitchers in the game, and therefore in this calculator) - Improved formula, the correlation is at approximately 95%! - Now, when you click on the RP position, the calculator sets Games Started (GS) and Complete Games (CG) to 0. (They can be changed, just by editing them) Version 3.1 - Now resets to MLB, when the "Reset" button is pressed Please write a review, with ANY suggestions or comments! -
Myself and MissDCole are still looking for some 1994 sliders. I'm sure we'd both really appreciate if anyone could post the sliders they use for the game. Thanks!
-
Maestro23 suggested I post here post here for MVP 1994 sliders. Does anyone care to share the ones they use for the greatest mod of all?
-
I'm wondering if anyone knows if the slider's affect the game in manager mode? If they do, does anyone care to share their slider settings at ANY level (Rookie, Pro, All-Star, MVP) for Manager Mode? If not, sorry to bother you...

The Baseball Split Estimator estimates, what a player hit versus right-handed and left handed pitchers, based on the batter's handiness, batting average, and slugging percentage. I took a tremendously large sample of players, and compared their general averages to the split stats. There was a mildly strong correlation between the two. Enjoy! Don't worry guys, I came across it. No need to search for me any longer! Thanks for your efforts!
