  1. Something's up...... you should have no pitch meter and no error circles. Weren't you one of the guys who needed to install the game to the desktop vs. the conventional spot? Did you do that? Also, maybe try not overwriting, but backing up the original file first (rename it something like: xxxxxxx.bak) and then unzipping to the needed sub-folder. This is why I don't jump on the latest OS's until they're proven practically bug-free. Is there an option to run in XP mode? Just takin' shots in the dark, as I don't know squat about W8.
  2. Yes, unzip the datafile.txt to the data subfolder. Are you using pitch view 6?
  3. Thanks again...... all of your changes were incorporated into the final roster that will be in the TC 13 mod. This is exactly the kind of feedback that's been wanted for a long time.
  4. kyleb made them for the latest BaseUp Roster and therefore, they'll be in the TC13 mod
  5. THAT is just creepy realistic!!!
  6. You'd have to ask a cyberface maker, but I think I remember that any face I've DL that has an associated .bmp file has the same number. I don't believe these are needed when installing via TiT.
  7. Obviously you didn't look around, nor post anything in the support thread. So I did it for you.
  8. If guys are having trouble with the proper cyberfaces matching up with a given player, it stands to reason that one of two things could be wrong. 1. The cyber no. assigned to the player is incorrect. 2. The actual cyberface installed (properly) is not the right one; or the cyberface maker gave the face a different number than what is on the official list. So what do I do? 1. You can verify that the proper cyber no. is assigned by one of two ways: open the roster with MVPedit and check the given number if you don't know how to work with MVPedit, open the attrib.dat file, search for the given player, look at the #10 assignment (generic faces will have numbers 901-915) 2. Install the correct cyberface by searching for it in the DL section (it may be a face part of the comprehensive '13 pre-season file Jed released earlier this year; Jed uses official numbers from the ID list, other modders do not seem to do so). If a cyberface zipped file has the 3 necessary files included with a number that does not match the official ID from the list (and thus, THIS roster set), you can easily change those numbers on each of the 3 files to the proper one. Then install with TiT. That is all.
  9. Well, I give you guys credit for trying to do this. If you're interested in any online stuff we did for a league a little while back, including sliders (which took us dozens of game to perfect), you can find them here: http://oslb.yolasite.com/essential-files-and-links.php Good luck!!
  10. I'll defer to kyleb for those. I have been trying to assign middle initials for these kinds of situations. He heads up the ID list though.
  11. If we do it at all, we're talking next year. Ya, Soria hadn't played in a while and when the rosters were done, I remember he didn't have a number.....good catch. As far as Cruz, we have the right numbers for the prominent player.... I'm not worried about a guy who's been out of the league for a decade.
  12. Good call.....he's there. ...and if you think you would like to help with next year's model, if we have one.... please let me know. Minor league emphasis is especially needed.
  13. I think we need one for the Ozuna face too. Get rid of the ex-Phillie Adam Eaton. I want all memory of him erased!!
  14. But, but, but.... there's already a great one of him available:
  15. Esta no es la sección de soporte. Lea el párrafo introductorio.
  16. Are you texting? Didn't we do away with z's on the end of words years ago (well, other than words that really use them)?
  17. It doesn't really explain how this is going to work. I think other than Hamachi, there isn't a viable LAN server, so guys would have to be comfortable sharing IP numbers with each other as the host. There are other factors as well. If a guys is playing wirelessly or doesn't have a dedicated video card, it will lag considerably and be basically unplayable. Also, if the ping rates are over 50.... also unplayable (as the physical distances between the parties is probably over 1000 mis.). You also need a good datafile and an agreement of what sliders to use. I don't see this going very far, to be realistic.

    Marcell Ozuna

Other than the chin hair, great likeness. 5 stars!
  19. Thanks again...as far as 2nd positions, you don't have to worry about those as I'm sure last year's assignments won't always match this year's. The moves and number corrections are really good finds. Thanks.
  20. The player ID list is here: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?showtopic=53068&page=22#entry644148 Thanks for the updates.
  21. I doubt it can be turned down. Even if it could, it would probably be artificial. The pitch meter speed should go in conjunction with the pitcher's actual movement. If you want to get the effect you're looking for, then you'll probably want to globally reduce the overall control for pitchers on your team. Also, the "pitch meter difficulty" slider is the opposite of what it sounds like. Negative values are tougher. Your other option is to go with a classic pitching type model. The pitch meter is still in the game, but it is off the screen and you're relegated to pitching by the look and feel of the particular pitcher, not a meter. I put together a "sim play pack" here: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=7668
  22. Thanks for you help with all of this...... this is the kind input we're looking for. As far as the photo ID's, the example you gave are for same named players. If other ID's aren't matching there could be various reasons, but I know kyle is looking out for that as well. The bottom line interest is to follow the official list.
  23. Good lookin' out. Kyle will have an updated roster (no injuries) to include with the TC 13 mod. Made your corrections, except for Adam Eaton. I think the one you're referring to is the retired pitcher who still has a cyber (though that could be given up). This Adam Eaton is a D-backs org fielder. Thanks again. (curveball..... lookin' into your next)
