  1. That always depends on what type of vid card and how much memory your rig has available. Just like any other game. You have to just play it and try it. There is a little app called resolution changer that I think is still available in the DL section.
  2. dennisjames is probably your best bet for assistance. Why don't you PM him.
  3. You should install the 3rd official patch (which contains the 1st two if I recall), THEN install the MVP 12 mod, THEN the MVP 12 patches. As far as rosters, you can use what you want depending on what you're going for. There are early '13 rosters out there, but I don't know their stability. As far as installing mods where you "write over" an existing file, I tend to delete that existing file (after backing it up by naming it: <xxxxx.bak>) and then install the file I want versus overwriting. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

You just have to watch it if you have small kids around. You can build custom playlists to assist with parental controls.... of sorts. But it remains to be seen what Ouya will do with it. I know Boxee users were pretty happy with it..... until they weren't.
  5. Can't be a hobby.... no exacto knife involved. Jim Patterson (Durham / TB) needs an I.D.
  6. Minor leaguers can make roster work tiresome.

Well... if it will totally support it and it allows you to cut cable, then for $100, it might be worth it. Especially if it supports Navi-X.

I got a feelin' that thing is gonna flop.

No. Custom cyberfaces would have to be done. Otherwise it would need to be a standard option, like another accessory, which the game does not have.
  10. It would. BattingView6 are the identifiers. There's 4 of them in the datafile. Problem is if you like how the datafile plays and switch to another just for the cam angle you can get other effects depending on what else was changed. rmats.... who's datafile are you using?
  11. That's what most pitch 6 views are I thought.
  12. You must have played the game on "Free Jersey Day". Congrats.
  13. Hamachi played havoc with my home network, so I never trusted to install it again. It's a shame that Game Ranger won't add it to their list of supported games. Various people have asked for literally years. The way the my brother and I play (and how we did it in our small league) is for the host to give the away team his IP address. It's best to use an instant messenger app since there's no communication in-game this way like there is with a LAN lobby. You also have to have the proper ports open if behind a router (both home and away teams). Once you communicate you are ready to host via AIM, the away guy then knows to join. Of course, if you are doing this with friends and share phone numbers, no need for the IM nonsense. Good ping times, non-DSL typed WIRED connections and a dedicated (not integrated) vid card are all essential. So are having the same exact files installed.
  14. Hopes are for a fully functional (BaseUp! Rosters) set to go along with the probable MVP13 total conversion mod. If for some reason we don't do a TC mod, the roster set should still be released on or about opening day. If you were speaking of BaseUp! Rosters, the reason for the crashes were as oldtimey indicated. But I was clear that my emphasis was on MLB. This year it was going to be an MLB/AAA focus, until kyleb talked me into working with him on a full roster set (he's a great organizer, btw). Having said all that, I actually think it is a bit of game programming flaw. Not all MiLB teams sport a 25 man roster. I would have thought that if an organization was tapped in terms of personnel because of suspensions/injuries, they wouldn't allow any more injuries to occur in the game, but perhaps it was an oversight. We'll never know.
  15. Good work, man. I think when you post more "in-game" looks, it's easier to see the accuracy versus the straight on bubble gum card look. I think a recent example of that was Swisher. I didn't think your update looked like him on the card, but in-game it was more realistic.
  16. You're talking above me. I don't know anything about stadium modding. Can only tell you what I observed.
  17. Gm 3 and look at the pitch totals in keeping with the overall stats. The only glaring out-of-the-ordinary stat is the BB by Zimmerman. He and Mattheus actually walked in a run each back to back. The other thing I don't like, but can't do anything about (unless I take over for the cpu's decisions) is that it's not bringing in stronger relievers especially late. Well, that and not bringing in a good pitching matchup. The dinger given up by Doc was so absolutely legit. Too meaty of a 2 seamer and it was heartily deposited with a strong RF wind blowing. In fact that was the wind that helped Ben Revere get his second in the playoffs and I mean it was by red hairs!! PHI8.rar
  18. Actually it can...... it could be included as an "extras" type of file, if kyle wants to include it. Actually I'd also like to implement (I believe it's) Trues" directly behind the pitcher cam. I think it's actually called "batter 6 cam".... gotta look further.
  19. For those who aren't aware this is available in the recent Sim Game Play Pack I put out. To get the full effect, follow my suggestions completely. The reason I came up with this was because I wasn't getting struck out enough on All-Star level, but MVP level seemed really to over-favor the cpu. It wasn't that I was necessarily winning more on All-Star, I just wasn't getting struck out enough. If you try this and get frustrated at first, I'd recommend playing about 20 games before you really get a feel for it..... even lower inning games (but not lower than 5). However, play 9 innings, because the fatigue effect really plays into it for pitchers. See the attached files. I'm in a post-season series right now with Phi v Was (ya, I know, my fantasy). Game 1 and Game 2 are stark contrasts actually for both sides pitchers. I had to start with Cliff Lee since Hamels would not be ready until gm 2. But the Nats and Strasburg were rested. Also, I had been struggling with Lee, especially since I lowered his control abilities in light of last year. Game 2 shows a rested and strong Hamels, but the effects of a fatiguing Hamels by game's end. It was a tense 9th inning! 20. Probably because some guys have done their own updating and want to play a '13 season now. It's unreal the number of The Show rosters were touted as being for the 2013 season and these things were coming out in late 2012! Some guys don't want to wait until the rosters settle. Lots of guys are gonna get released, like always.
  21. Not a support thread....it's a review section. PM'd you.
  22. Your welcome guys.... tell me what you think about how it plays sometime.

*All-Star Slider Set Works best with accompanying igcrsr file and datafile.txt. Use with your camera choice, though broadcast seems best. Turn off all visuals except for catch circle (i.e., all throw meters, hitter’s eye) For the ultimate challenge, NO bat pre-loading. *LOC files (front-end and in-game text) – optional Several updates since MVP 12 Total Conversion mod *igcrsr file Eliminates displaying post-pitch control circles for poor pitches *datafile.txt Multiple batting adjustments (e.g., ball hit speed, ball size, bat length, etc.) Maintains the WS98 batting view (bat view 4) Classic pitching style (no pitch meter) View directly behind pitcher in pitch 6 option **Also eliminates the repetitive hecklers comments. *ingame.big Moves pitch meter off the screen for classic pitching effect The goal of this set up is to make you feel more in the game and rely on the “feel” of the game versus meters and visuals. Therefore to get the full effect it is strongly suggested to use the Bat 4/Pitch 6 camera and, as indicated above, when batting, do not pre-load (i.e., move the directional stick to a particular position, especially up and in). Also this was designed with the Base Up! Rosters for optimal use. **as always – back up your existing files before overwriting.
