  1. Going to begin finalization of this this weekend and have begun with final omissions due to season ending injuries combined with lack of playing time. In other words, those who have only developed recent season ending injuries, but have been a main player for a significant part of the year (e.g., Todd Helton in Colorado) will be on the final roster. Attached here are the 66 who will not be in the roster version. However, .mep's will be made available to add them back in via MVPedit if you so choose. Also, in case anyone was wondering, Melky Cabrera will be included since he played 110+ games. What you do with him is up to you. Next task is to start picking and choosing pitchers and putting them in their slots according to baseball-reference ranking. 2012 MLB Roster Player Injury List.doc
  2. He definitely needed a new one... Nice!

    Edit Help

What in the world are you talking about?
  4. Thought we already had Omar.... but real nice!
  5. Dom Brown.... are you paying attention?
  6. You need to give particulars to your problem. You can't just give a general statement and expect others to assist you, especially if you added your own mods.

    Portraits II

Really not a bad idea with the team logo behind and not having to worry about making an alpha layer etc.
  8. Matt Harvey is 3/27/89 in my rosters. :spiteful:
  9. Fausto Carmona is such a cool name... but I don't think he's gonna make the cut! hehe
  10. Wasn't bad. I thought the side grips were a little skinny and the analog stick was a bit slippery...they should have rubberized it. As far as my vote for best controller I've ever used: It was wireless. It was extra wide for larger hands. And it was an Xbox s-controller layout.
  11. Got any other names for him, because I don't see him having one minute in the major leagues this year. Pretty good possibility considering the number of games he's played.
  12. Well, that can be said for a lot of players. I can't tell you the number of prospect players I've created in the last 2 years, only to see them fade away. I have to use some type of criteria and then you'll be able to switch around whomever you want. By the shear number of games, I do see Stewart and Ohman getting slots for the CWS.
  13. Right.... we'll see how it plays out. Again, variety will be available, though, of course, some will have to be placed at the AAA level. The difficult ones on any team will be guys like Liriano who were impactful throughout the year, but traded. Pitching slots 1-5 will not necessarily be reflective of current 1-5, only that these will be 5 of the multiple starters available for people to do with them that they wish. I'll be using MLBdepthcharts and baseball-reference to guide me.
  14. He's not in my most recent? Pitch depth order will be based on how baseball-reference.com has them ranked. So, for example, if the season ended today, Quintana would be #4, Humber #5 and Danks the LR. http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CHW/2012.shtml But since starters and LR's have real life stamina (based on dylan's calculator, rated from the past several years), people will have 6 starters to mix and match in however they want to change the rosters around. Thanks for the kind words.
  15. BaseUp! Rosters ~ Phase 6 will place an emphasis on the main contributors to their particular team, and if traded, to the league in general. Typically, MLB teams hold 13 fielders and 12 pitchers per team. I will therefore include on the final 25 man rosters those who have given the largest bulk of time and/or had the largest impact. But I won't cap it at 25. 18 fielders and 16 pitchers / team will be given special emphasis. Batting contact and power tweaking will occur once again for those who seem to warrant changes up or down. More attention will be given to pitchers' control in order to better reflect their true-life counterparts. Once that is completed, a playoff set with announced actual rosters will be made available as well.
  16. Not a support thread. This is the review section.
  17. Very..... good pitchers (and I don't use the goofy batter's eye) will fool you with some pitches.
  18. Here Yank..... this is a pretty good one, though big, when I posted the datafile a while ago. The pitch view if pretty much the standard behind the pitcher, though I'm thinking of doing a comparable "pitcher's eye" view mod. http://www.mvpmods.c...s&showfile=7302 And here's the guide for doing it (pretty sure this was kyleb's which I re-wrote slightly) -- .doc attached. Changing the Pitch Meter Placement.doc
  19. Keep in mind I use a classic pitch mod, so I see no pitch meter. I use the attached datafile w/ pitch 6/bat 4 (which included the modifications I made for batting World Series '98 style). The only visuals I keep on are the ball catch indicator/assist; no vector line. Daflyboys All-Star Sliders Classic Pitch Mod.zip datafile 06-16-12 batting adjustments.zip
  20. I can certainly do that when I get home...... sliders and datafile / game conditions. I wanted to post another game where Hamels (me) faced Miley as a contrast to the above file I attached, but the BSE screwed up as I may have ran it too late and it recorded another game strangely. But it was a 3-2 loss where I gave up a late solo shot by ARI that barely cleared the LCF fence. Less hits in game as well. ARI also took a couple of balls to the fence. I also hit a foul ball HR with Hamels. One of those games where when you lose, you still have to say to yourself it was a helluva game.

    Portraits

Good job man...thx. Always good to have more than one portrait maker. They can be a pain sometimes. My only suggestion would be to label the file a bit more distinctly.
  22. Robbie is a beast.... he's gonna be around for a long time. Much deserved cyber. Nice job.
  23. Controllers for the most part for me seem connected in an imagic way for me.... and with MVP the layout is typically pretty sound. Here's an example of a game I had today.... and I don't consider myself a HR hitter in the least, but right pitch, swing, condition, timing and you've got it. And I don't "pre-load" as described above by dannyt. I generally move the stick right at the last second to the zone I'm keying in on. In the example, it was pretty atypical in terms of number of hits total. And I didn't get going until the 4th inning as you can see. The Pence salami in the 1st was on a mistake pitch by Lee (me) and it was deserved, especially with the wind blowing right to left and strong. The Utley slam I just caught in the lefty power zone (down/in). It was more of a reaction swing vs. I was looking there, but I caught every bit of it and upper decked it. The Rollins slam barely eeked over the left field fence. Overall, though, you see pretty realistic pitch totals and Lee didn't have a great day, with his offense bailing him out. Overall 27 hits, but only 5 extra base hits (and I usually can get my share of double, but it just didn't present itself). So the possibilities are there. By the way, this is the controller I'm using and I absolutely love it. PHI7.zip
  24. 1. Open MVPedit 2. Import 3. Point the selection to the data/database folder 4. Name it 5. Edit (remember, it saves on the fly, so you can't go backwards) 6. As long as you don't corrupt the database and break the rules of who should be in the slots and number of players on teams, you can export to anywhere.
