  1. It would be good to know what lines, values you affected so that it might be incorporated into an existing datafile.txt
  2. If you go into MVPedit and to the team area, you can choose 0, 1, or 2 for various team attributes. IW are in there.
  3. Ok...update... got back to a good working base and have some (re)updating to do, but this is workable. No corruption.
  4. Ok update....since no one seems to go to the support topic any longer . I was able to eliminate the ghost D. Default players and regain a good base from where I was. I was able to sim through an entire season through the WS. Now I need to re-do moves and tweaks and make sure that all injuries and debuts are reflected. Basically it is going to be a new working MLB eligible roster with no doubles in the FA pool and pitching orders and lineups reflective of current intact teams (barring minor injuries). Should be only a couple more days barring any interruptions.
  5. I'll have to backtrack to Phase 1 rosters and delete the D Default players another way. I'll then have to re-do the moves and add the MLB eligible players back in as well as the pertinent updates. Hopefully will only take a week as time permits. For now try to quick sim past April or only play exhibition gms.
  6. Need to read the forums.... it's been there.
  7. Doubles are easily removed by opening the .mbe file in mvpedit and make sure for the allstar teams and for the rookies and sophomore teams that 'hidden' is set to YES. Installation is as easy as reading the included document. If you just open the document, it practically hits you in-between the eyes. As far as farm guys, again, if you read the doc you'll know that this is an MLB focused roster. A guy may be a 5th starter because he was brought up due to injury. But a player is not removed for injury unless significant. So in regard to your examples: Hood is only a AA player, having no MLB time; Rendon is strictly only a A+ guy. As far as Detwiler, he was most likely not on the 25 man roster at the time of this release because Wang was not injured. Even with Wang's injury, Detwiler still wouldn't be moved up because Wang is scheduled to return later in May. I can't possibly keep up with all injuries and moves. If you want the rosters to mirrow exactly how your favorite team is appearing right now, then you can easily do roster moves in game. I spend time looking at the significant injuries and making subsequent moves, making sure that pitchers making debuts or who seem highly incongruent with their real life counterparts have the correct pitch types, trajectories and speeds. I don't think some of you guys know how much time this actually takes. I will only add MLB eligible players as I do each phase. Re-read descriptions and included docs.
  8. Well, I'm going to refigure which teams those were. Then go into the most recent roster and clear lineups and pitching orders...restacking them.
  9. Well... I did find that it was between Phase 1 and 2, which probably has to do with the way I got rid of the D.Default players (copying entire teams over). Gonna have to reverse that somehow. Thanks for the offer too.
  10. I'm dead in the water.... I've tried everything... looked at everything.... researched everything I can figure.
  11. No. Shouldn't be a problem. That's just a matter of turning them off in MVPedit. I accidentally released versions last year with them on and it didn't seem to matter. I thought that maybe it was because the Curve had only 9 pitchers, but corrected that and still had a freeze on April 18th. Still wondering if it's a bad cyberface number accidentally put in.
  12. I dont think portraits matter at all. Ive also had freezes with different schedules. Im starting to think that its in some minor league team since it freezes using the 50 gm (where the mid to latter parts of the month are greyed out for the MLB teams). I even tried to correct the batting slots for starting pitchers directly on the roster.dat files as previously pointed out by Homer. Its probably a cyber face no. on some minor league team.
  13. Hey all.... I can't find for the life of me figure out why this roster set is freezing. I thought it was possibly tied to the Orioles, Pittsburgh or Boston organization at some level, but just can't narrow it down. I thought it was also linked to the AL All-star team since I eliminated Pineda from the roster and lost him, then re-imported him. I just can't seem to find it. Any help would be appreciated. It seems to be freezing around a middle date in April, but not a specific date each time. P.S. It may have something to do with the way I eliminated a good number of the "D.Default" players (though it was none of the MLB teams). Basically, I figured out which minor league teams had them present, then went back to MVPedit, moved all of the players to one of the "good" levels, copied that team (essentially ending up with a team that had anywhere between 40+ to 70+ players, copied that "mega" team back to the squad that had the "D.Default" player, essentially overwriting him and then eliminating duplicate players. Seemed to work, but now wondering if I corrupted anything that way.
  14. I guess that was the old number assignment as the old photo is there, but I will adjust in next set....thx.
  15. Yes... and then some. Read the descriptions whenever I UL a new roster update. Presently I am experiencing a freeze in April when trying to advance with the Orioles organization, but can't narrow it down as of yet.
  16. Jed... I am at a loss in your explanation to install faces using MVPedit. Here is what you have in your readme file: Inserting them into the game with MVPEdit program. In MVPedit program give players any number of a player in minor league and whose face you do not need(this applies only to those who do not have your ID number). Click EXPORT and find database in MVP 2005 folder C:Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2005datadatabase (This address is for me, for you maybe on another path, but you will find it) and click ok. After export simpli click on the picture (face) and change whit new, click to ORD and ORL file and change too, click OK i You are finished..................That s it................. The problem is you're not saying where to place the 3 cyberface files for each player? In the MVPedit folder? Click Export from where? Tools? The only option it gives me is to export a 2X face (or portrait). Also, you have .bmp's but within models.big it clearly has .fsh's for each player. I need more clarity please.
  17. Another thing is that some cyberface makers are including the .bmp file and not an .fsh file and I'll be damned if I can find how to convert this to an .fsh file. EAgraph is satanspawn. fshtool and nfsh ..... nope. This stuff is really starting to **** me off.
  18. If you're giving me less than 5 stars, then maybe you want to give some feedback in the support topic or here too.
  19. More pitcher adjustments for accuracy in speed, type, no. of pitch types and trajectory added today in ver 1.2: Bard; Boggs; Cruz; Feliz; J. Johnson; Mejia; M. Moore; Paulino; Sale; Strasburg; Brazoban (FA); Cashner; S. Casilla; Chapman; Hanrahan; K. Herrera; Holland; Jepsen; Kimbrall; League (no true FB); L. Lebron; Lindstrom; Ogando; Parnell; R. Perry; H. Rodriquez; Santos; Thornton; and Walden
  20. Can anyone give any guidance on this? Renaming "c" files seems to make it worse. Need a step by step please. MVPedit, per Kyle, seems to create more problems. Can't say I'm even sure how to utilize MVPedit to install regardless.
  21. Correct portrait + correct number + correct number in the roster file (accessible & changeable via MVPedit) = correct portrait showing up in game.
  22. As it says in the description: "Season-ending player injuries updated / Players not scheduled to return until after the All-Star break removed / Players returning earlier than expected re-inserted (list included)." Check the included list for players not included. You can always go into an earlier version of any roster set and import any player that is not present.
  23. Version 1.1 update added.
  24. Ah..didn't realize there was a 5/10 release. Was going by 5/5. Thanks.
