  1. If I can add.... you don't have to import from the data/database sub-folder. The .dat files can reside anywhere and be imported. If they are residing in the database sub-folder, they become the game's default rosters.
  2. I don't see schedules ever being a cause for crashes. There has to be something else. Certainly there's something that could be occurring on that certain date. It could be some cyberface not matching up with a certain number. Not sure. A portrait can too, but as you see in the link, Sean, I was able to sim all the way through. Mlev..... with KC I was able to do the same. I would suggest backing up the models.big file and adding Homer's facepack (cybers) from last year with no additional cyberfaces after that until you can get success. http://www.mvpmods.c...s&showfile=6604 So 600 DL's to this point, 1 vote and no other feedback? How do I know if these rosters are working / playing well or not? I know a few guys are freezing, but that has to be the exception. I'll certainly take critiques and needs for corrections /tweaks. C'mon guys...gimme somethin'. Insult my dog. Anything.
  3. Thanks. The SmartTracks are really easy to use and it's nice when you find the right one to go with what you're doing. Some are pretty cheesy though.
  4. I believe I can do an intro video. My preference would be to use real MLB game footage versus in-game animations. I would also need to know the best format in which to render it for conversion to the format that the game needs. I would also like a suggestion for a song. Not a big rap or heavy metal fan. I think the song should drive it as in all videos, and should be fairly universally appealing. I also have a few smart tracks in my video editing program which will basically end at any juncture as demo'd in this vid I did a while back (that is I did not set the length of this song, the song picks up when the video is about to end): http://youtu.be/pnGYNhAt8cA The problem with using a full length song is that, well, it can just be too lengthy. I do have a way to grab current MLB top plays.
  5. You have to give more details so I can try to replicate it. What team were you using? Was there a specific date? Because it could be another mod that is corrupted or getting in the way.
  6. kraw... I would think that this would be a function of original programming/formatting. Sort of like you'll never take a standard 4:3 DVD and make it look good on 16:9 because the imagery and data just aren't there. Strangely enough, the Xbox version was either format.
  7. Did not get that result at all (see pic: http://tinypic.com/r/2e3uc60/6) There seems to be something else corrupted for you.
  8. Well, this is the request sub-forum, is it not? I think the point is gonzo, that you're making too many requests too often. There is an MVP12 total mods coming out soon. A request here and there is fine, but too many and you'll just be ignored.
  9. You bet! I just tried my first official offline game and thought they played well. Large variety of hits. Sorry if guys want minors too, but just not enough interest on my part, but all are welcome to integrate these with another set. Copying teams over might corrupt other files, however.

  12. gonzo....maybe put your requests in the request thread .... in one thread. Call it "Gonzo's Requests". I think it's gonna be a big, big hit!!
  13. Update. Finishing up NL this weekend. Padres and Cardinals are especially messed up right now. Let me know if you think any specific tweaks are needed. Roster is remaining stable so far.
  14. Ok update again.... 2 divisions done with all current moves and debut players to 5/18 done. 4 divisions to go which should be doable in another night or two. Cross your fingers for no freezes.
  15. Any chance you could release one that has the lines in red text (via WordPad)? If it's a hassle, that's understandable.
  16. It would be good to know what lines, values you affected so that it might be incorporated into an existing datafile.txt
  17. If you go into MVPedit and to the team area, you can choose 0, 1, or 2 for various team attributes. IW are in there.
  18. Ok...update... got back to a good working base and have some (re)updating to do, but this is workable. No corruption.
  19. Ok update....since no one seems to go to the support topic any longer . I was able to eliminate the ghost D. Default players and regain a good base from where I was. I was able to sim through an entire season through the WS. Now I need to re-do moves and tweaks and make sure that all injuries and debuts are reflected. Basically it is going to be a new working MLB eligible roster with no doubles in the FA pool and pitching orders and lineups reflective of current intact teams (barring minor injuries). Should be only a couple more days barring any interruptions.
  20. I'll have to backtrack to Phase 1 rosters and delete the D Default players another way. I'll then have to re-do the moves and add the MLB eligible players back in as well as the pertinent updates. Hopefully will only take a week as time permits. For now try to quick sim past April or only play exhibition gms.
  21. Need to read the forums.... it's been there.
  22. Doubles are easily removed by opening the .mbe file in mvpedit and make sure for the allstar teams and for the rookies and sophomore teams that 'hidden' is set to YES. Installation is as easy as reading the included document. If you just open the document, it practically hits you in-between the eyes. As far as farm guys, again, if you read the doc you'll know that this is an MLB focused roster. A guy may be a 5th starter because he was brought up due to injury. But a player is not removed for injury unless significant. So in regard to your examples: Hood is only a AA player, having no MLB time; Rendon is strictly only a A+ guy. As far as Detwiler, he was most likely not on the 25 man roster at the time of this release because Wang was not injured. Even with Wang's injury, Detwiler still wouldn't be moved up because Wang is scheduled to return later in May. I can't possibly keep up with all injuries and moves. If you want the rosters to mirrow exactly how your favorite team is appearing right now, then you can easily do roster moves in game. I spend time looking at the significant injuries and making subsequent moves, making sure that pitchers making debuts or who seem highly incongruent with their real life counterparts have the correct pitch types, trajectories and speeds. I don't think some of you guys know how much time this actually takes. I will only add MLB eligible players as I do each phase. Re-read descriptions and included docs.
