Why don't you guys just use Grmrpr's rosters instead of mine. He already seemed to incorporate a lot of my re-ratings from last year.
-
So what I'm wondering is that you took a majority of the batting re-ratings and many of the pitchers tweaked pitch speeds and types that I did last year and integrated them into this roster set. Because when I compared this roster set to your previous ones, batting attributes, for example, don't match to your last year's set at all, but do match up to mine, by and large. Same for pitching with speeds and many of the trajectories. These were actually all things that I probably spent a few hundred hours calculating from my on the fly formula (batting) and looking up (fangraphs predominantly). Also, as far as I know, I was the one who started giving relievers very low numbers in their stamina so that they could only last a couple of innings at best. But it's funny because I don't recall us ever talking about it.

Now certainly I didn't generate my roster pack from scratch, but did build it off kg's and then hiheat's and certainly did communicate with each about them, understanding that I had a go ahead to move forward. But I don't recall us ever talking about it. Now if I'm wrong about this, then certainly ignore this. Portrait packs are always tied to the player ID number. That's why the official ID list that was kept for so long is important to advancing rosters and I think that's why kyle is working on that.

Thanks for keeping the game fresh (X every stadium that you do!)

I'm not understanding why guys are posting other loading screens in RJSim's thread. This is clearly a preview of his set.

Just tremendous Homer. Thank you so much. I'm wondering if I'm not saving in the proper dpi. Can't think of what else it could be. I mean, I have done some portraits in the past. Just so perplexing. This will really open up some gameplay tweaking possibilities. Very much appreciated. This should be put in the DL section.

I think this is an old question. Of course maxing the foul ball slider is a must. The only other thing I've noticed is that a batter making contact when the pitch meter is in the green increases the chances of a foul ball.

No. I've tried 24 and 32 bmps for the main image and 8 for the alpha image. When I click on the index.fsh to recombine, I get the above message in the DOS box, which is confirmed when I go to open it again after editing, only to have it corrupted.
-
Ok.... something is not recompressing correctly in nfsh, because after it says it's successful, when I try to open it again using nsfh, there's a problem. Maybe I just don't have the right version... idk. So damn annoying. I would do more graphics editing, but this is why I don't. I end up screwin' around with these damn editing programs more than spending time on the actual graphic. Here's how the alpha image looks and then how I think it should look, which would also get rid of the relay and cut text (considering the top image above):
-
I didn't show you the alpha and I do remember that about the black. Let me try that quickly and if it doesn't work, I'll show you the before and after (alpha).
-
Here we go!!! (It's a beer stadium)
-
Ok Homer, here's what I've had and here's what I'm going for (basically the elimination of all poor control pitches, including the yellow X. So I assumed I had to black out what I did. The file from which to work is attached. Thanks for anything you can do and if you can tip me off as to how to save the file once edited, it would be appreciated. igcrsr.zip
-
I think your secondary pictures are much better than last years. The new style is great and good to see the EA logo go away. I think after this much time, that's ok! hehe
-
Ok thanks.... I even tried to edit it in the crappy Paint program, thinking PS was gumming it up somehow, but just wouldn't go. I'll have to send you some before and after pictures of what I'm look for. Gonna watch the Lehigh game and forget about it for awhile.
-
16 bit is the lowest for the non-alpha I could go, but nfsh seems to split it out as a 24 bit. .....And still crashing. I am doing the igcrsr.fsh file to try to eliminate all bad control circles. So the file itself doesn't compress into any larger .big file, only to the igshapes folder. It does appear there. I've tried to TIT it in in both .zip and .rar format. I've made sure the read-only box is checked on the file itself. I get as far as the progression bar filling up and then crash to desktop. I do get a curious message when recompressing using the index file which indicates there is no alpha image, but there clearly is one.

Will give it a shot Homer, thx. Last second thought question: does the main graphic need to be 24 bit (bmp) or 32?
-
Ok.... I thought I had it. I really thought I had it. I wanted to edit the igshapes file that adjusts, well, the in game shapes. As I said in another thread I wanted to eliminate the poor control pitch circles. Homer, set me in the right direction, but the X-men yellow X is still there, plus, I would need to revert to a crappy ball indicator and there's a black box cover the relay text. And I know I did this successfully before. Hell... I made the baseball catch indicator! First off, I hate EAGraph. I cannot maneuver around and for the life of me can't figure out how to use the tools. and I don't really want to learn it at this point. I've had a slight amount of success with FshEd. Then somebody said, no, use nfsh. It blows. I went back to FshEd and thought I had it. I followed the instructions, created the .bat file. It extracted. I could take the 0000.bmp and alpha files into Photoshop. I edited them. I saved the 0000 file as a 24 bit (though FshEd recognizes it as 32) and saved the alpha as 8 bit. Clicked on the index file... got the DOS boxes saying it was successful. But, once it gets ready to go to the field.... CRASH to desktop. This is really annoying. anyone?

Can dennis make any modification to the CAS models he created earlier? The stadiums might not be perfect, but upgrades would be sweet.
-
I swear 95% of the time I try to edit something with EAgraph or nfsh, I crash. Seems so damn simple and it's not like I'm doing much at all, but it's so damn touchy.
-
Thanks for pointing me there.... it's weird b/c I've seen that file and although it shows the circles, it doesn't show the red/blue/grey dots themselves. This'll be interesting.
-
Really looking forward to this!
-
I think I still have the latest ID list.... to whom should I send it?
-
-
Wonderful stuff....thx all. And Yank... I know what you mean, but most overlays seemed to not address those 2 things. I don't know if anyone truly found where they are located coordinate and/or graphics wise.
-
I am going to try and put a big dent into the 40 man roster effort tonight. If I can get 2 full divisions done, including correct numbers.... I'll be a happy camper. Speaking of overlay....if anyone has the knowledge as to how to: 1) get rid of the red/blue/grey/X-man symbol circles showing on a poorly controlled pitch I would be grateful; 2) if anyone knows how to successfully move the pitch speed to a static spot on the overlay as you would see in a TV broadcast, again, see above!
