  1. As pointed out before, Max Kepler at 900 crashed the game earlier. I don't know if it's because the number 900 is right before the first generic face (901) and can never be used, or because the Max Kepler file was corrupted. If your game crashes, this might be why. In fact, the best way to test this is install ONLY the Kepler face and run a Twins game. I'll release another version of the ASB rosters with these changes in place. Addendum: the old Kepler face (bearded) causes crashes. This latest Kepler face seems stable.

NOTE: THIS IS AN MLB ONLY ROSTER! As promised, dozens of younger tenured pitchers' (control) and position players' (contact/power) attributes changed. A good number of significant debuting players created as well. Affected some team rankings significantly. If you find any mistakes (batting stances, pitching styles, jersey numbers, etc.), please PM me and I'll include the fixes, if warranted, in the next update, or if there are enough I'll upload another version. Since "Placeholder" players (last name) were put in to fill the empty slots, these rosters can be used with injuries and suspensions set to "ON" without crashing. Most every team has 24 players. I don't know why at this point, but filling teams to 25 seems to be causing freezes when simming a season/franchise. If you want to use these rosters to create another version or a roster incorporating MiLB, just ask (as someone already has in reference to a standard only roster). If you are thinking of making a MiLB roster set, you can alter the existing "Placeholder" players. INSTALLATION: Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\EA SPORTS\MVP 2005 (or whatever you named it)\data\database subfolder. DELETE the existing 19 .dat files. Unzip this roster file to that location. DO NOT SIMPLY OVERWRITE! **If you're going to give feedback, please make it intelligent. If you don't know what you're doing or you're one of the only few who is having trouble, then don't leave me negative feedback. Ask questions in the forums after searching for a thread!! Please do not PM me for individual help as there are many threads already out there! Thanks.
  3. Guys ..... do not leave support comments in here in the reviews. You can't answer in the reviews and comments are not continually checked either. Put your support questions or look in the forums for a thread having to do with your problem. I'm sure it's been addressed before.
Almost got it right. Willians Astudillo-460 is incorrect. This is what you have in the present upload for 460. I assume the cyber ID is correct, but the file is wrong.
  4. Thanks for doing this the right way. I'm not sure if you actually created these faces, but thanks.
  5. You shouldn't have to do that. It's the responsibility of the cyberface maker to request official IDs. Jed and others did it all the time. I think the recent uploaders didn't actually create the files ... they're just bringing them over probably from MVP Caribe.
  6. This is sloppy. Incomplete names .... no official face IDs. This is happening more and more and it seems like things being brought over from MVP Caribe and not necessarily the work of the uploader.
    1. I'm not sure if you're making these faces or just bringing them in from somewhere else. 2. You should be asking for the official ID and not run the risk of ruining an install someone already has.
  7. The problem is this guy didn't upload any files here, just a link. People are going to a site that we don't know is secure. Additionally, not everyone knows to change the file numbers to make them work. In my opinion, you shouldn't assign any numbers for files if someone doesn't come in here and ask, especially a cyberface maker. I assure you he did not make the files, only provided a link to where you can get them. This is not how we do things around here. Jose has taken liberties before.
  8. I don't think there was yet, bagwell. I've corrected the ones I knew of/saw in the very last roster update and I don't see anything for him as of yet.

NOTE: THIS IS AN MLB ONLY ROSTER! A good number of newer players created. Latest moves made. Brought players back from the IL in anticipation they will return in June and/or very shortly. This will install one of 4 generic portraits by position when a portrait is not available or done incorrectly for a player. Roster will be updated to reflect this. Install with TiT.
  11. Hey folks, let laroquece manage this thread please. If you think you see he missed anything, please PM him.
  12. ^^^ Cyberface or Photo ID for Luke Voit?? Also, Gavi Nivar has 2 Photo IDs in the list. It is probably NOT 4927 and should remain as 626?
  13. Just getting confirmation that generic position IDs will be as follows: 4940 generic pitcher 4941 generic catcher 4942 generic infielder 4913 generic outfielder I hope this is okay as discussed.
  14. Thank you for doing this. However, it looks like you're not differentiating Photo/Audio ID's (which are actually 4 digit IDs from 0000 to 9999) and CyberFace ID's (001-900). You may want to make a distinction. Actually, trying to use #900 for a cyberface could be why Max Kepler face is probably crashing the game. I think he should be reassigned. I can test this easily. Also, Photo ID's 4922 - 4951 should be reassigned. Oscar did this, then forgot these were dedicated to team type Photo IDs and never fixed it. Therefore these players should be reassigned: 4922 - 4951 are the following team logos that substitute for an ID when there has not been one made for a player at the MLB level: Also, the only CyberFace actually available of those 5 above on this site is Blake Snell. (Also, it's Nick Tropeano, not Toropeano). I don't change the numbers in the roster file until I see that the cyberface is actually completed.
  15. Rhys Hoskins has a cyberface available here on the site and is using Face no. 881. You can install that face and easily change that face ID in the associated .dat file or via MVPedit.
  16. Please note, IDs in this pack, 4922 - 4951 were created in error. These numbers are reserved for the generic team logo when a player's portrait has not yet been made. The file creator here relied on the rosters for the official IDs and not the official ID list (he has been contacted).

NOTE: THIS IS AN MLB ONLY ROSTER! I've replaced the player IDs for those who don't have any kind of an accurate portrait with the default team portraits I had made previously. I took those down but reposted them (portraits downloads section). You may want to install them. If portraits are made for any of these players, ID nos. can always be easily changed back. Great thanks to Laroquece for his assistance for helping with adjustments and tweaks as well as others who have provided information and suggestions as well. This roster is a culmination of all of the updates done throughout the year including defensive ratings, batting ratings, pitcher styles, types, speed and trajectories, hot/cold zones, player speeds, etc. Many newer players added/created as best as possible. If you find any mistakes (batting stances, pitching styles, jersey numbers, etc.), please PM me and I'll include the fixes, if warranted, in the next update, or if there are enough I'll upload another version. 18. Any portrait here that was not created with an official cyberface is going to have the number "0000". This is going to do nothing in game. You can't have every one of these players have the same ID no. and you can't change the number of the portrait after it's done. The bottom line is that these would have to be done all over again.
  19. Although the faces may be great, there are no official IDs in keeping with the community here. If you install these faces, you run the risk of overwriting many of your existing cyberfaces because, as it has been done many times before, there are created cyberfaces here with no regard to what already has been done. There are just haphazard cyberface nos. assigned (e.g. Brock Stassi in this pack is face no. 530. No. 530 has already been assigned to Brad Boxberger --- most likely all 129 faces in here will disrupt 129 existing faces).

  20. Okay cool...as long as we can make it work. It looks like the latest portraits are needing official IDs as well. Thanks guys.
  21. Partitioning was discussed around here, possibly even in this thread. I would search that term. You won't get any recommendations on how to get W7 other than by conventional means. You'll have to buy it.
  22. Agreed. This is going to get disorganized as long as guys are making new items that rely on ID nos. (for portraits and cyberfaces). Then there's going to potentially be more problems with things being mismatched in game. Additionally, we really need a predominantly English speaking member to do this.
