Very welcome. FYI, there is a speed problem with one of Dontrelle Willis' pitches. I will release a patch by tomorrow, or you can simply take the roster into MVPedit and correct it yourself (data can be found on pitch f/x). While you're at it, you can search for all P's and RP's along with any pitch speeds excessively low, like sub 50, and report anything you find in the support thread so that I can fix them.

Thx for the compliment (and again, it extends to the guys who set this roster base before me). You should put these things in the support topic and the mod suggestion thread. As far as the ages, once you start a game, you can use the MVP schedule updater. I don't play multiple seasons, so it doesn't mean much to me. When I'm in game or online, I'm not really looking a the players' ages.

It really doesn't make any difference at all. The one thing you can do is go through the rosters and make sure all the cyberface numbers in the editor are between 901-915 and you probably won't crash. The facepacks & stuff ARE necessary. Updating to the 08 mod couldn't be simpler and more automatic. You just need to follow the instructions and make sure you have the disks.

Since you posted in the the total conversion mod thread, I'd assume you'd want to know which total conversion mod you "need". Head over to mlbmods.com and check out downloads for the 08 mod in the DL's section. Read up there as it will tell you everything you need. Good Luck.

I see what you mean about Van Benschoten. I didn't catch it because he has had no MLB appearance since 2008 (one will be eliminated). You are also correct about Jon Weber, but again he has not seen MLB time, though will move him to FA because he is in the IND league (Winnipeg Goldeyes). Regarding Chamberlain, it was not known at the time that he would be out for the season when the rosters were released 3 weeks ago. Jose Lopez was signed on June 9th, but probably wasn't announced until June 10th, right at the time of the roster release. Luis Jimenez I'm sure is good, but has not played for the Mariners this year and is not even on the 40 man rosters for the Mariners. As far as Charlie Blackmon, as you can see he only recently made his MLB debut a few days before the roster came out, so was not significant enough to include at the time and I indicated in the thread (BaseUp! Rosters 1.64 thread) that he would be created and placed in the next release. Thanks for checking behind me and I'm glad you're enjoying the rosters!!

Very good. Rios is done well too! Now that I look at Cedeno again, it has his features, but I think his face in real life is somewhat thinner. But clearly the "look" you have is there!
-
jed, I'm certainly no expert, but now it seems like you're rushing some of these to get a great amount done. Pudge looks very cartoony, but wakefield and cedeno definitely have some mert!
-
Jed.... something you did with Castro shows that you are on to something!! It seems like your earlier work leaves some players looking "pudgy" or flat in the face, but with Castro you did something different.... especially around the eyes!

You're better off posting in the support topic where people will see your question as this is just a comments section that not everyone might see: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?showtopic=52206 . You should mention more about what you have installed already and if you encountered this before. Also, does this happen with another roster set? See you in the forums.

*** SEE THE SUPPORT TOPIC FOR A "PATCH" THAT WILL KEEP THE BALTIMORE ORIOLES FROM CRASHING THE GAME *** First and foremost, a HUGE thank you to Toleton who gave me some great guidance and assistance on this version and who will collaborate with me on future versions to make improvements!! This version includes a special bonus of an alternate roster featuring increased stamina for ALL relievers, potentially giving them an opportunity to be a starter if needed. Another great inclusion on this are the "absent" players whom you can easily re-insert back into the roster in any way that you choose via MVPedit. There are way too many enhancements, changes and moves to list here. So download the file and check out the description document, but here are just a few not already mentioned: • Full attempt to match present 40-man rosters (though some nominal or still fully minor league players not considered). • All listed pitchers making an MLB start to date received a stamina adjustment via Dylan’s calculator (with 80-89 receiving a +1 and 90-97 receiving a +2) based on up to 5 year performance, if possible. • Fielders speeds more in line with 2K’s MLB 10 rosters • Cyberfaces changed from correct feedback received • Top 50 Prospects label added for players presently in roster • More existing minor leaguers moved to correct teams • 50+ pertinent transactions made since last roster update -

Competing for what?

Well, I won't be looking for a fix.... I'm spending all my time developing this roster. If only a few guys have issues running the game, then it is up to you to post something in the support section. Any problems I've had with getting and keeping my game running have been up to me to figure out, not the other person. Good luck. Addendum: I would say that if you are installing the 08 total mod, you do not need to (and should not) install any patches.
-
Maybe since a few guys commented since you did, you figured out you should have the 08 mod installed. I would also install the latest cyber face packs from mlbmods and here. roster.sav files get generated once you go into the game and created saves from within the roster management section. Also.... I anticipate a roster update this week after Toleton gives me a quality check !! Yes, Bautista is being given a batting increase all the way around.
