  1. For pitchers when you say stats I assume you mean control. Control of pitches is not based on just this season's performance. I've been doing these roster for years and they are a build year after year. The reason for this is because players fluctuate over time. I can't possibly keep up with living rosters. As far as batters it is roughly the same approach based largely on BA and Slg%. And yes there are clear differences in their splits, especially like Judge and Benintendi. See here: Judge: https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/split.fcgi?id=judgeaa01&year=Career&t=b Benintendi: https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/split.fcgi?id=beninan01&year=Career&t=b I know you look at and think of Judge as a brutish hitter, but look athis basic stats vs lefties. Overalll it's very sub-par. Thus the splits largely reflect the stats. Since they are both only in their 3rd year I take into account their splits for their career because while they may improve later in the season, maybe they won't and hit a backslide... you never know. Now if you want to put out a rosterpack of your own at the end of the year for the 2018 season you're more than welcome to. I did make a video that I posted in the forums if you care to view it. Thanks for the heads up about Chapman and Baez. The game allows speeds of 100 max which means you may hit 102. I'll correct Baez for the next tweak or update.

NOTE: THIS IS AN MLB ONLY ROSTER! Incorporates latest trades and significant moves Call up players who had major injuries Send down players with major and season-ending injuries Create new players who have debuted and are impacting Batting attributes updated for rookies; some pitching attributes adjusted especially for call-ups who had not pitched since last year Since "Placeholder" players (last name) were put in to fill the empty slots, these rosters can be used with injuries and suspensions set to "ON" without crashing. Most every team has 24-25 players. If you want to use these rosters to create another version or a roster incorporating MiLB, just ask (as someone already has in reference to a standard only roster). If you are thinking of making a MiLB roster set, you can alter the existing "Placeholder" players. INSTALLATION: Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\EA SPORTS\MVP 2005 (or whatever you named it)\data\database subfolder. DELETE the existing 19 .dat files. Unzip this roster file to that location. DO NOT SIMPLY OVERWRITE! **If you're going to give feedback, please make it intelligent. If the rosters are not working for you, then don't leave feedback and rate the rosters down simply because you don't know what you're doing. Ask for help! **Also, don't just be a leech around here! .... give feedback to ALL modders from whom you download files. Make comments. Give suggestions.

    Several Faces

So are these portraits? If so, then they are uploaded to the wrong area. "Faces" is for cyberfaces. Portraits are portraits. However, these are just simply BMP files of the cyberfaces. I'm unsure what to do with these. There's no ORD or ORL files.
  4. Oscar....any chance you can upload the latest Excel file to the 1st post? I need to check a few MLB'ers for the All Star break rosters. Thanks.

    3 Yankees player

3 players named, 4 files present. No preview screens. Sorry, but that's a bit sloppy. Just zip them all together.

This is a tweak to an earlier datafile released. Changed up some factors to assist with more "true" ball flights and power increases. Back up your previous datafile in case you want to switch back to it. I would use this with your present settings and then tweak your settings to your liking.
    He's back!! Yes! Nice man....thanks!
Excellent upgrades!! Very nice to see you do faces for MVP again! (Any chance for upgrades to Cesar Hernandez and/or Aaron Nola?)
  7. Ok, will do ...... they'll be in the next update. Thanks.
  8. Right, but this is an MVP mod.
  9. All great.... now if we can get someone to do portraits .... still looking into the difficulty level of Gimp
  10. Keep updating the most recent version. I'm actually updating more than I said I would, but they are in the most recent update.

    Aaron Judge

I don't think this would be an upgrade to what's presently available. Maybe consider Aaron Nola? Or maybe consider some players who would warrant a face who have never had one. This particular face would make a good generic one vs. face 902 or 904! Personally I would request Seranthony Dominguez too.
This looks like an amazing upgrade to what has been around. Thanks!
The Acuna and Torres faces are nice additions. Gurriel remains to be seen as someone who can make in the majors. Thanks for these
  12. Wasn't announced at the time, but he's been switched with German
  13. Hey, one other thing I just learned this week, albeit a bit minor, is that in MVPedit, if you place 3 pitchers as set up, even though there is space for them, one of them will end up as a LRP in game. The game doesn't change anything about their attributes, but it will place him there (i.e., you can't have the game show 3 set-up pitchers.)
  14. To glpa: in large red letters at the top of the file it clearly indicates: NOTE: THIS IS AN MLB ONLY ROSTER! Sorry, but this is primarily an English speaking site. You'll have to get someone to translate for you.
  15. Andujar already made; Torres will be made (with new face assignments) Montgomery is not a major injury (as of yet), although German now has a significant no. of inns. pitcher; I'll create him. Frazier can be inserted , but you can't have 26 man rosters. Something has to give somewhere. Cole for Kahnle would be easy. Drury already moved. I'll have to see if Austin can fit. All of the above will come down to amount of service to date. Thanks very much for the feedback...exactly what I'm looking for from others!
  16. I'll be updating this further in a short while. I missed a few moves and a couple of creations (Andujar on the NYY for example). Of course, getting little to no feedback/comments on what's needed so you're at my time table to check this.
  17. I think he's asking about some general MVPedit do's and don'ts as well. The problem is that the MVPedit support threads are all over the place around here. There's a few major things with MVPedit. *Don't simply move a No. 1 pitcher to another team or do a send down. Substitute someone in there first and then move him. Otherwise you run the risk of a phantom slot being taken up (i.e., the game says you have 25 slots taken up when you only have 24). If this happens, you have to dig into the proper .dat files and figure out which player is the phantom one. It's a major pain in the ass. *Make sure the FA pool is not too large. MVPedit says something like 235 slots, but it's not that close. Keep it to lower 100's if you can. I have a FA team file of 1 person to rule that out when I have roster problems. Of course I test this on a copy of the file on which I'm working. *Pitchers cannot have a FB only. And careful when creating pitchers, even though you add pitches, I've seen them not take. Create new pitches, switch players in MVPedit, switch teams, go back to that pitcher and see if the pitches "held".
  18. Lourdes Gurriel and Gleyber Torres faces? Not sure why. They have hardly played in the majors.

  20. If you're on Windows 10, there's not good compatibility between MVP and that OS. See that thread for more support/idea.
