You need to have a recent total conversion mod. Try the MVP 15 mod (as long as you're not on a Windows 10 PC; see the thread for Windows 10). You cannot simply add this roster to a basic install of MVP. PM me for further help if needed. Keep in mind that more faces and updates came out since the MVP15 total conversion mod, So even if you get this working, some faces may not look correct in the game since updates were done to faces, portraits and rosters.

During the end of the season and into the playoffs, I'll be doing one last final tweak for MLB'ers. This will strictly be towards the pitchers only. I'll be looking at ERA's during 2011-16 and using those for control numbers. Control between pitches for given pitchers will have more separation (not very many pitchers have 3-4 strong pitches). Also starters and LRP's will also have a stamina adjustment using this time period.

Yes Yes, true. Easy to correct though. And you don't need MVPedit: Open "attrib.dat" (one of the roster files) Search for the player (ctrl+F) Look for the #10 slot (which will contain a number between 901-915 for a generic cyberface) Change it to the official ID number for that player. Save the file. It's that easy. Thanks, Jef.

The easiest thing to do is check the download section for a roster. That's how anyone would find the answer to your first question. If there is no roster and you are talking about making one, then you are facing finding every player that has to be moved PLUS creating every player since the last roster update, if there was one.

Not sure if all of this is correct, but here's what I'm still finding as needed portrait updates: Thanks to anyone who can tackle this......... Sim up to the playoffs. Then use the playoffs creator tool to input the teams you want. Check the downloads section for tywiggins tools for this playoffs creator tool.

Begrudgingly, neither did I. I was surprised Gonzalez was a top ERA, strikeout leader because I remember distinctly moving his control down some.

End of 2016 season rosters. MLB focused only. There was no attention given to MiLB at all. Primarily rosters reflect amount of service given to a given organization, except for some particular players who need to remain at the MLB level. Adjustments given to younger fielders contact/power Control adjustments made for pitchers at upper and lower ERA levels Hot/Cold zones changed for all fielders according to ESPN's ratings for last 2 seasons Contact/power for upper 10 and lower 10 fielders also adjusted It is highly recommended to play with injuries, trades and suspensions set to OFF, otherwise your game/season may crash. If you believe another player should be on the MLB level, he's probably on one of the minor league squads. If you find a jersey number is wrong, this is easily changed via MVPedit or right in the .dat file itself. If you believe you've found a blatant omission, please PM me for a correction. PC vs PC roster set is forthcoming. -
Very kind of you guys to say. They are ready to go. I simmed through the rosters to makes sure of no crashes. Unbelievably, these were the playoff teams from this first sim attempt: SFG / LAD / CHC / WAS TEX / CLE / TOR / BOS Simming the playoffs, here was the outcome: Bos beats Tex 3-2 Tor beats Cle 3-1 Was beats SFG 3-0 Chc beats LAD 3-1 Tor beats Bos 4-2 Was beats Chc 4-3 WAS beats TOR 4-1 (Daniel Murphy MVP) Additional stats: 3 Highest averages: Ortiz, Ramos, Encarnacion 3 Highest HR's: Encarnacion, Ortiz, Donaldson 3 RBI's: Ramos, Murphy, Ortiz 3 Best ERA's: Sanchez, Barnes, Melancon 3 Best ERA's Starters: Lackey, Gonzalez, Ross Strikeouts: Gonzalez, Happ, Ross

Quick update. I have all the MLB teams balanced the way I want. I've also adjusted many of the younger players batting attributes. I simply need to finish the hot/cold zones for the NL (got about half of them to do) and then I'll take a look at the contact/power for the top 20 and bottom 20 guys and adjust accordingly. I may take a look at the top and bottom pitchers too. Anticipate all of this will take about another week. Again, there is no attention being given to MiLB at all. This is strictly an MLB roster. Also, there may be some uniform numbers that are off, but I'm pretty sure that there are no repeat numbers on any MLB teams. There may be some photo IDs you'll have to update on your own, easily done via MVPedit or right in the .dat files themselves.

Looking good.... can't understand a word you guys are saying.... but looking good.

ROS files between the game and MVPedit are not compatible. As far as MVPedit, here are the major conditions you must follow: Minimum of 10 fielders per team Minimum of 6 pitchers per team MLB squads must have 25 players MiLB squads should have a minimum of 20 players All lineups must be filled in. Of course they don't need to match position for slot but they must be complete (e.g. you can have 14 catchers on the team but when you complete the lineups, they will populate to needed positions) Every team must have a complete starting pitching rotation and a closer When you move a pitcher from team to team, if he is the #1 pitcher, swap him with another slot first (a #2, or 3, etc.) and then move him. I wouldn't have the FA pool have more than 175 players in it despite its' capacity Therefore it is very flexible with the position players. You can have, for example NO catchers on the team, but when you fill the lineups, someone will be in a catcher's slot. Keep in mind that MVPedit is a MS Access program at the heart. Therefore, moves and edits you do will change on the fly. No saving is needed. However, if you attempt to do a major change (e.g., import a player or entire team, make a global change, etc.), I would do a "save as" and save it as the next version that you want.

Edit the rosters and make your moves using MVPedit. Infinitely easier.

It's usually in the downloads/misc section. The OP did make it seem like it's available here, but always check the DL section for files.
