  1. I still have some old NFL 2k5 replays I saved...some polished, some I was going to make into a short demo video. Just can't get rid of them. Used to do full game recaps too. I especially used to record replays when the cpu team made some outlandish, jaw-dropping play. Here's a few if you care to look. 2. I appreciate the kind words. I am actually thinking of releasing an end of season update very soon. Along the way I found a number of things that could use updating, including catchers' throwing abilities, catchers' speeds, fielders' batting numbers who have lower years of service (now that there's more data), a few tweaks here and there and good hitting pitchers getting the necessary edits. Oh, also, I'm upping each pitch type velocity by 1 mph to closer match real life speeds (though not checking each and every pitcher; just a global edit with what I already have).
  3. Glad to help. I was thinking of repurchasing an O-Xbox myself and play some older seasons of NFL 2K5. Goootttttaaaa reeeeesisssst!!!!!
  4. Yes.... didn't find it in the DL section, so I uploaded the two tools that I have. I don't recall what pc2xbox-gui is. You may just have to install and find out. I'm pretty sure the regular datafle.txt files work as is, if you want to use one.

These help convert various files. I am not the originator of these and cannot provide support, but there is a readme file in one of them.

  10. You may have mixed up Springer who is 159, not 053. Jonathan Herrera is 053. Additionally, I couldn't get the Springer or Valbuena faces to be accepted (or change) no matter what I did (MVPedit, TiT, importing directly to the models.big file).... are you sure these 2 have the correct ord and orl files uploaded?

    game won't start

Sorry, you started off talking about MVP 15 and it wasn't clear with what you were struggling. But, now you have 2 references. Always check around for help before starting a new thread. Chances are there's something already going.
This is one of the ones I've been waiting for. Everyone is spot on!! Stellar work!!

    game won't start

Already a support thread for MVP 15. No need to start a new one: MVP 15 Support thread: http://www.mvpmods.com/forums/topic/57168-mvp-baseball-15-support-thread/
  13. Somebody needs to try this fix with a fully stable version of MVP (as in 08 or 12) to rule out problems with 15. If this is the solution, that's a helluva first post. thanks! By the way, I think that's the file (driver) that was causing the problems with the W7 update recently.
  14. Within MVPedit, yes. Within the Xbox itself....you'll have to tell us.
  15. I don't know what else to tell you. I'm sure there's a more scientific way to go about this, but when you're doing a complete roster set, you have to make concessions. Good luck.
  16. Oh...one other thing. The total no. of players limit is also somewhat lower, I believe, with the Xbox, so make sure your FA pool is relatively small. Maybe no more than 75-100 players.
  17. Based on this: I would have this: The 86 control for the Sinker is based on his ERA from when I updated pitchers a little while back. And since it his most used pitch by far, it warrants having the 86. The other controls are estimations. I placed the Fastball that low because he is using it less than 8% this season and therefore did not rely on it nearly as much (you see this with a lot of sinker ball pitchers). Also, I don't have ANY pitcher with a pickoff higher than 3. The PC players are already just too good with pickoffs and the scale (1-15) is just too large when you see it in play. With my pitchers ranging between 0-3, I still see pickoffs during a game, probably at about the same rate as you would see in a real MLB game.
  18. Yes, it's the same 19 .dat files, it's just that (from what I remember) one of them goes to its' own location. If you don't want to spend the time going through all the teams, I would suggest changing one team to all generic cybers and then export that team. Then import that team to each of the 29 other MLB teams. Import them to your Xbox to the appropriate spots and give it a shot. If it works, then you know you can change all of the other teams in a "real" roster version.
  19. If you have a modded Xbox, no you don't. The .dat files will work, there's just one of them that gets separated from the other 19 (if you look inside the folders via ftp, you'll be able to see where they go). You can take a recent PC version of the rosters and adapt them. It's just a matter of cyberfaces..... Xbox didn't handle as many. I can't remember how many, but the bottom line is I would make the roster "standardized". In other words..... change all the faces to something between 901-915 (in mvpedit). That way you guarantee no crashes.
  20. Not possible. We even can't convert the PC versions of the saved roster files (in game). Why don't you just use the rosters in the DL section here as they're probably more up to date than what EA would provide.
  21. Your sinker movement for him is way too low. Look at this graphic from pitchf/x: His sinker (red triangle) compared to fastball (red square) is much more than a "1". I have it at a "7". Also, his splitter is thrown 3% of the time. 55 control for splitter compared to 70 for fastball is not enough disparity. This is why I left pitches thrown under 5% off. Pitchers probably aren't throwing them that much because they don't have that much control over them. Also, I've subtracted 2 mph off pitches because the game ramps them up a bit, but that's a matter of taste/preference. The Sano face is nice!
  22. Hey portrait makers.... if anyone is interested in making these updates to prominent MLB players, it would be highly appreciated. I've broken down what I think is needed into fielders and pitchers. If I have someone in there in error because you know of the proper update, please indicate. Also, if there's someone I missed, please indicate also. Players listed either have the wrong hat or they still have a minor league portrait. FIELDERS Victorino DeJesus Murphy Carlos E.
