  1. MVP didn't have it, but most likely would have incorporated it within a couple of years seeing that The Show started a year later than MVP 05 (though don't know when road to the show was first introduced). You could conceivably manually do it in MVP by creating yourself and giving yourself realistic attributes as a Single A player. I'm not sure how multiple franchises work and if attributes get changed that drastically between seasons, but even if it doesn't elevate you enough, you can always edit yourself (which is not a bad idea, generally speaking ). As far as more opinions or questions about a potential editor (though Rick seems definitive about it), you could post something at Operation Sports or go to The Show's forums.
  2. Well, first off, you don't want to ask others if you can use Google for research. That's sort of a given. When I did more intensive roster making/updating, it was difficult to find the same type of info that's available for major leaguers. When I wanted to construct a new player, I did have to do an internet search and see if some type of prospects site had some info, but you don't get the full range like on fangraphs and pitchfx.texasleaguers.com.
  3. You did the transaction in MVPedit I take it. Go through the roster within the roster management area and scroll through the teams. See if it says (NULL) either in a pitcher's spot or somewhere on the bench. Check MLB through A. Yes, it's a pain in the ass.
  4. Then maybe his birthday had a typo. Go into the attrib.dat file and change it.
  5. You know I don't hold back.
  6. I can appreciate that. Thanks for all the efforts. Maybe these guys are starting to juice!
  7. Rizzo's face seems too "puffy" Machado's nose seems too bulbous (like it was just broken)....needs more chisel / angles.
  8. I see where you left the traj. value at 0 and on one of them you accidentally left the movement at "36" which is the default number MVPedit assigns when you create a new pitch (for every value, not just movement). 36 might give you the ephus pitches. I put in some arbitrary numbers for movement on the supposed pitches in question and found no problems. One other thing that comes to mind is what your slider for pitch speed is at. I use +50. I attached the roster (dat files) for you to experiment. Also, your pickoff values are exceedingly high in comparison to the rest of the teams I purposely limited pickoff to 3 max as there was just way too many happening. Even with this you can still pick off guys vs. the PC, but it's not gonna happen every game, just like in the real MLB. test.rar
  9. Can you send me the .mbe file to see if I can duplicate the problem? This is weird.
  10. There's 2 cyberface threads going already.
  11. Didn't want to start a new thread for this. Here's an update to Carlos Correa, HOU SS, if you want to integrate it via MVPedit. Correa, Carlos.mep
  12. There's 2 different threads for cyberfaces. No need to start a new thread for a single request.
  13. I've tried using ImgBurn to make a backup, but could never get it to do so for Disk 2.
  14. Too many factors. Anything within the 4 extra steps you did could be the culprit.
  15. The ol' 2 years later response.
  16. Gregerson has a face, I believe.
  17. Another suggestion... maybe sub the EA logo with the MLB logo?
  18. When I was moving the pitch meter in Trues overlay, I found a value named pitchspeed in the fes_ingameoverlay.fel file of the ingame.big file.
  19. Looks good.... my other 2c is take out the "15".... that way in future years when someone wants to use it (or keep it), it doesn't seem so dated. E.g., the Trues 07 one is great but it says 07 in various places.
  20. I think part of that, Rog, is guys used to stick with their teams a lot longer, so when an All-Star game was played, there was still a bit of loyalty to your particular squad.
  21. IDGAS.... just don't make it worth anything.... like WS home field advantage. Idiotic.
  22. Agree about the smaller score bug and pitch select display. If there is ANY way to get the pitch type/speed that you see after a pitch to a static spot (as you would see broadcast in a real game), that would be awesome.
  23. Only thing I can think is it's not saving the speed for some reason and keeping the default at 36. After you insert the speed, click on another field any where on the same page so that the program definitely saves it.
