There's gotta be something in the programming, which could very well be the datafile. Now here's the other funny thing: you can sim an entire season and when you enter the playoffs, the rosters revert to the base roster. So what happens to all those roster moves is anyone's guess.... just like all the weird created players in the FA base (unless you reset the roster and save and load right away to a new season). So far in my trial..... it's working as suspected. This way playing as an MLB team, you're facing the more quality relievers on the other team.

I understand the suggestion. The problem is that unless you have only 5 guys in a given organization with starting pitcher-like stamina, the game will bring him up. Then someone like Syndergaard will end up in the bullpen and be pitching in relief for a given team just about every game because he'll see limited innings each game, yet have starter stamina. This is sort of the you can't have your cake and eat it too problem with the game. The original programming of it brings on certain limitations and quirks.

Currently testing this, but going to release another roster alternative for a particular reason. As you progress in the season, every other team controlled by the CPU brings up pitchers that have high stamina from the minors, usually, of course, starters. The programming of the game doesn't seem to care about the control levels as much. Therefore, you're typically facing teams that have usually 3 or 4 other starters in the bullpen. I think this can contribute to losing a lot of simmed games. Therefore, and this is not for everyone, I'm going to reduce all non-MLB pitchers to below 32 stamina so that they are not called up. The only other alternative is to turn up ALL relievers to starting pitcher type stamina numbers (which is, I believe, what the game originally did).

Not sure, but those players won't be available to you for manipulation in MVPedit since you created them in-game.

You can also try DL'ing TiT with a different browser. As far as installation, it's not that bad.... not video worthy. Install the game. Patch with official patch 3. Follow instructions that came with MVP 15. Add the MVP 15 patch 1. Get that to work before you start messing with other stuff.

I don't think the inning is shown in between innings (when defense is running off the field).... just the box score.I did find a setting somewhere if people want the ball distance NOT to show while being hit to the outfield. Reminds me of a pinball game. (I'm sure I put it in another thread).I think the semi-transparent black box to the left of the player's intro line (the one that holds the team logo) is unnecessary and looks too cluttered.A stadium thing: I always thought score boards that had some other team on there looked weird. That and no numbers. Would rather see "Visitor" and a bunch of zeros versus what's there.If I'm up to it, do you guys want me to handle the roster stuff, including MLB'ers adjustments? If so, then, ya, trade deadline would be better.

Your welcome. Also, as you move forward and make major changes, I would do a "save as..." and build on your versions since you can't un-do what you did as this is an Access based program. This way you can go back to a version with which you are satisfied.

Depends on what you did in MVPedit. First thing is that you don't want to transfer a player who is in the SP1 slot. Move him from that slot first and then transfer him as desired. Also, make sure you have 10 fielders and 10 pitchers minimum per team. Also, make sure that the minor league stadium you are using doesn't normally crash in an exhibition game.

Great to see the site back up. What I've noticed already is that message notifications don't seem to appear (the flagging on the envelope icon). Also, when you click in to respond to a posting, a good portion of the time it jumps to "drag files her to attach.....", requiring you to refresh the page. Just some fyi's. Correction: now I'm seeing a notification.
