Thanks.

Sorry, but who is that?

Oscar....suggestion. I would clean up the first posting as it has multiple dates and files in it. Maybe just put in the most current file and date.

I wouldn't call it "official patch" as that could get confused for the actual official patch.

No, there's no default sliders.... just preferred. When I worked on these rosters in previous years, I would release occasional slider sets, but everyone must find there own comfort zone. Fair enough about Molina, but you can't go by your opinion. The ratings are set based on stats and comparative to each other. For example, I'm sure Molina has those numbers vs. lefties and rather lower ones vs. righties (without looking). The last sentence means that if you started a season/dynasty and then changed rosters in mvpedit and then imported them, don't expect to see those changes take effect in the present season that you are playing.

1. Range ratings are relative so that the game plays more realistically. Of course, this is in keeping with how that is married to your sliders. The maximum range I give MLB OF's is 9. This is just based on experience on how the game reacts to those levels and the sliders. YMMV. I used UZR for the "fielding" attribute and RZR for "range". Bourjos numbers are highly above average at 12 and 8 for those 2 categories. Gomez' range was just as high, but his fielding was slightly above average. The problem with picking and choosing guys to adjust is that if you're crediting certain favorites, then it probably means you're shortchanging others. 2. Always export to a temporary folder (I use one on the desktop so it's easy to find) and then delete the "old" files and put in the new. Don't just replace. Differences will NOT be seen in an on-going season you are using as that gets saved to the games .SAV files.

When you do use MVPedit, the two biggest things to keep in mind is that it is an Access based program, meaning it saves what you change on the fly..... no going back. So if you're going to do especially global edits or a lot of changes, make a "save as" version to keep your progress moving forward, but something to fall back on if you mess up. Additionally, if you want to move someone out of the #1 pitcher's spot on any team, don't just pull him. Replace him with someone else first and then move him. Additionally, try to keep a minimum of 10 pitchers and 10 fielders on any given team.

Yes, I understand that....just wondering if the key would be lost in the registry on a total uninstall.
-
I was going to suggest that, KC, but if the game would be totally uninstalled, wouldn't the registry key also be uninstalled? Or does Windows tend to keep that fragment behind?

In case anyone wants to update their rosters for any particular game, not just MVP. http://www.mediafire.com/view/jqwmby2efxy8ivb/2015_MLB_Roster_Player_Injury_List_OUT_FOR_SEASON_&_Suspensions.doc

So you have no 2005 version installed? What's your operating system? Are you talking about the 20 digit security code that you need to put in on a fresh install? That would be between you and your computer and your original CDs. As others have said here before, try installing it away from the program files (x86) folder (e.g., install it to your main C: drive -- or whatever the directory letter is for your main drive). Once you do get it going, I would suggest that you patch it with official patch #2 or 3 and keep a copy of that entire folder around from which you can make another copy and modify how you want. This way you never have to do an install again.

Not sure when uploads will be working again, so making this available through MediaFire: http://www.mediafire.com/download/x3pugv0wdxqbtbe/MVP_15_ICON.rar

He'll be working on the Mission Impossible movies next making those masks!! Great work!

I had been in touch with the site owner, Steve, some time ago and he was highly interested in when MVP 15 would be released. He immediately released a summary on the OS site today. Hop over and make a comment. If you haven't ever been to OS or are a member, it's a great site! MVP Baseball 2005 Mod Available Now, Updated Rosters, Cyberfaces, Uniforms, More (PC)

And for that... I blame A-Rod.

In order to release a roster that is a slight modification of someone else's work, you'd have to get permission from the roster maker. I doubt you'll get that. @bhutsell.... I thought it was pretty funny... I snickered when I saw it

Please, no.

Yes, the native resolution suggestion may be a good one for a lot of people.

Can you be a little more clear about what happens and when? Also, what OS are you using? The tool (bigGUI) for rebuilding the models file is in here: http://www.mvpmods.com/files/file/7917-mvp-baseball-tools/ Make a models.big back-up first. Open the models file with this tool and from one of the tabs, simply select "rebuild". The tool doesn't tell you when it's finished, but if you can successfully click on any of the tabs again, and it responds, you'll know it's done.

remdawg.... welcome to the site. Sorry, but I think you walked in on a running joke. Basically, mods, especially a major one like this aren't given a release date because then members could get salty if that date comes and goes. Therefore, people who would keep perpetually asking "when" are given a date in the very distant future. The bottom line is that everyone needs to show patience as the people who are prepping the mod are doing in their spare time and out of the kindness of their heart and passion for the game.
