Once the site is up and running again it will be easier to look for other threads pertaining to problems. As far as yours, I sympathize because I've had perfectly fine games (Windows 7) and then later, it can freeze or crash. It could be something with the programming of the W7 OS that is definitely beyond me. I do find that after rebooting my PC I typically am back in business. I'm not sure why and I'm not sure that I even care, but it tends to work for me with this OS. As a comparative, I didn't have to do that with XP.

I don't think there's a swing/pitch analyzer in the settings. I know you can analyze the swing after any given pitch, but must pause the game to do so.

I mean for The Show, 2K, RBI and MVP. But basically anything baseball as OOTP is apparently also popular within certain circles. And don't forget Pro Yakyuu Spirits, which from what I've heard is preferable to some over The Show. But the point being... make it larger than MVP.... make it about baseball gaming.

You seem to be having the most problems out of anyone that has posted here. Even incorrect cyberfaces (i.e., a face not matching the correct player) won't make the game crash, which is why sometimes one gets a white face on a black body and vice versa). Something is getting corrupted. This is why the suggesting of trying one thing at a time. Maybe when 2015 comes out you'll have better fortune. And if that doesn't work, like you said, if you aren't going to play it any longer, you have a pretty good sale ahead of you.

It doesn't matter what you're seeing. The best thing to do to be consistent is get the official ID list and check the cyber number. Make sure that the player in question has that number assigned in the rosters and also the 3 files that make up the cyberface all have to match that number. Technically you don't have to follow the official ID list, but that would be foolish.

We're trying to help isolate the problem, thus the suggestion of installing especially 2012. Instead, you're jumping around and telling us what you're going to do and not going to do and going to buy and all of this convolution. Let's stick to one thing at a time. We're a bunch of guys.... we deal with one thing at a time.

I don't even know why I offered. I can get to files, decompress, extract, import/export, blah, blah, blah. But, I can't get them to show up in the game when I can get past a crash. I need a complete tutorial. Working wit fsh files just **** me off. If EAGraph was a tangible thing.... I think I'd stomp on it like a printer out of Office Space!!

Well, you didn't specify but I assume it's because of the portrait again. Therefore the fix would remain the same. This time just open up the attrib.dat file and do a "ctrl+F" to find Story. Go to slot 16 and find his four digit ID number and replace it with a 1. Don't try to apply the fix from last year's roster because he could be on a different team or other things may have changed.

Also, you're posting, PM'ing and putting in the shoutbox a lot of the same thing. Try to stick to the forums for support as more people will see it and if a solution is found it may help someone in the future.

Patch 3 is cumulative to patches 1 and 2.... they're not distinct. You only need patch 3. Locating the file involving game speed may be talking about something that is hard coded. You're now talking about how the game is programmed, I believe. Not sure that's gonna get solved. I know that when Dennisjames did MVP 14 last year, it was already patched. So if you tried 14, but patched over it for some reason, try it again without patching it yourself.

Copy your entire basic install folder and mod the copy. Keep the working basic original handy. Add patch 3 to the copy only. Try to run it. You have to add step by step to see what might be causing the problems. People are going to know necessarily what the deal is on your particular system.
