  1. I'm not sure, but this was one of my biggest gripes with NBA 2K12.... no ability for remote matches. It's sad.... we have games 8-10+ years older with the capacity for LAN and IP2IP play WITH modifications and recent games struggle with this. I've also heard that when they were active with lobbies and such, the connection quality often suffered...... possibly a symptom of games with higher end graphics.
  2. It's a microcosm of what we've seen on the 'net since freeware was made available. It seems like the younger generation have been taught a mentality of "get it now" and "get it free". I'm not saying all of them, of course, but the percentage of them I believe is certainly larger in this latest era of on the quick technology. There also seems less appreciation for assistance given. I agree with those who believe/observe that technology is helping depersonalize our culture by and large. However, there certainly still are those in that generation who have the values of appreciation and patience.
  3. Buy the game. Buy a used Saitek controller. End of problems.
  4. I think we've addressed just about everything we can regarding freezing both in this thread and others with "freeze" or "crash" in the title recently.
  5. I think there's something like those Tampa unis in MVP 12 and I would bet the Monarchs unis are in Dennis' Negro Leagues mod as well.
  6. Ya, this seemed to turn into the Kent Murphy thread. Don't find him that engaging. Maybe we need some variety. I'm not a big fan of Ferrell, but the first part of this is pretty good:
  7. For a new face, yes. Because your season is now embedded in a SAV file. But if a player has a certain number, like Matt Cain, if you input (or even make a new) Matt Cain face with that very same number, it will show up in your present season because the on-going season draws its faces and all else from the models.big file. No, there is no way that I know or heard of to alter a SAV file.
  8. We talked about this in the other thread. When you download the actual cyberface files they will not be compressed. bigGUI has a way to compress them and then you need to "rebuild" the file. As far as the new faces, you won't see them in the game unless you change the ID for that player in the roster file, as they probably have a generic face number right now. You can do that manually by opening up (with wordpad or notepad) attrib.dat (one of the 19 dat files for the roster) and look at slot #10. It is probably a 900 level number. Change it to the official ID number needed.

    About Cpu Data

    My fault...wrong section.
  10. Already asked and answered just a few posts up.

    About Cpu Data

This is why I made cpu vs. cpu rosters and also put out suggested sliders.
  12. Right click on file. Rename. On W7 it automatically highlights the file name. Just click in the box behind the file extension and change it. It will prompt you, pick yes or OK. Depending on your unzipping tool and the file it may not work, but won't know til you try. You didn't do an internet search on how to do that?
  13. Just change the 7z extension to "zip" or "rar".
  14. I know it's MVP 14. Re-read what I wrote. Trying to determine if it's your PC or the mod.
  15. I don't recall them needing conversion, but that 18 when in the database subfolder and one of the 19 files went somewhere else. Maybe if you download a roster from this site, someone has a readme file attached to it.
  16. What team(s) are you trying to start the play now with? What stadium / uniforms? It's gotta be something. Try to install MVP 12 the same way. Add nothing to it. Let us know.
  17. Maybe it doesn't need to be a player. Sometimes logo/text and compilation of images works well.
  18. I see we too over the Columbian voting machines!
  19. Where was it installed? And if you didn't try to install it to desktop (don't just move it now), then do so and let us know.

    2 Players

    Excellent job. Professional.
  21. Like I said in the shoutbox, Prince Fielder. Though I'm not a fan of his, when you look at the '05 draft class, he's seems to be the biggest name on it (pun only slightly intended).
  22. I would have given it by now. If you simulate with everything off except one and freeze, then simulate with everything off and don't freeze..... well, there ya go. For the guys doing fantasy drafts, try it for MLB only, or MLB/AAA only. I just auto-drafted a test for MLB/AAA only and had no problems. (I would suggest that if you are planning on doing a fantasy draft, first go into roster management from the main screen (before you set up a season), select "reset rosters" and save. Then load those rosters. This could help with minimizing players that the cpu seems to create that we don't seem to have any control over. Once you get into your season and you let the CPU auto-arrange your lineups, they could bring in players from the FA pool that are these cpu created players. You can tell when they show up in a game as they have a rendered portrait, not a real one or the default.)
  23. Yes. Open models.big with bigGUI. Make sure that the 3 ID numbers on the face you want to install are official and matching up with the given player. Point to the "import" button on bigGUI and point it to those 3 files. It will prompt you for an overwrite. Say "yes". Find those 3 files you just imported within the models.big list still open in bigGUI. They most likely will say "no" to being compressed. Highlight them and click the "compress" button. Then click on the REBUILD button. It shouldn't take long to rebuild with doing only one face. But it doesn't alert you when finished rebuilding. You can tell, though, by closing the file and then the program via the upper left tab.
  24. I think Matt Cain had a know cyberface problem. Search Matt Cain in this or other threads or DL one from the DL section.
